Can helpers be removed from geometry of M4 Skeleton?
I am interested in using the M4 Skeleton in combination with a figure and then using the Simtenero Shape Reprojector: http://www.daz3d.com/simtenero-shape-reprojector
I am wanting to save it as a morph to make even more skeletal zombies. It worked except for the fact that I can only apply opacity to the handles. So, my biggest hurdle so far has been the fact that the script doesn't ignore the geometry just because it has no opacity.
Is there a way either in Daz Studio or perhaps in another program to remove all of those handles? I have Hexagon perhaps that might work. Does anyone have any advice?

You can hide the handle bones, they are not the same as any actual bones in the skeleton. I don't know if that will help.
I tried hiding them using the texture for them by changing opacity to zero. However, Simtenero script still is seeing them and morphs the figure around the helpers. I can't seem to find them in the Scene panel. If I could hide them there, then it might help.
Just select them and turn off Visibility in the Parameters pane, or click the eye icon next to them in the Scene pane.
Have you tried hiding their surface in the geometry editor, and deleting the hidden polygons? Sometimes works, but sometimes messes up the figure.
I can't believe that worked. I selected each helper. When I look in the scene file, I am actually selecting the bone it is connected to. So I assumed that the visibility on/off switch would turn off the bone. To my surprise. It only made the helper invisible. Now I am hoping that Simtenero's script will ignore them with this method of making them invisible. Otherwise, since I don't need to keep the IK bones of the skeleton. I might just try exporting as OBJ and then deleting those helpers in Hexagon.
Many thanks Richard.
Note that this is how the materials of helper body parts ought to be set up (although a few very old ones aren't, and need a bit of work to make them compliant). This goes for other types of content as well, e.g. long skirts or trailing sleeves on clothes. If it has a handle, it ought to work the same way.
