Tone mapping in Iray has an affect both before and after camera

Is this documented anywhere? Seems like it should not effect the 32-bit file.

Evilded posted the relevant documentation, which is about all there is from nVidia. There's also the odd blog post here and there on using Iray with canvases and LPEs.

I'm not sure if this is part of the problem, but always keep a linear workflow in mind. As soon as you start torquing gamma, either in the input or output (or both), you will see differences in luminosity and dynamic ranges. You're effectively taking a picture of a picture, and workflow through this chain will affect the tonality of the output.

Refined my HDRI workflow a bit more, and added some automated bloom into the HDR processing of the final .exr. Definitely think I'm going to use DS to make some more HDRI. These scenes load/render so fast on modest hardware, it's great. The textures on the chic were just the 3DL textures with nothing at all done to them before rendering. Still suffers from that porcelain doll look - not perfect, but not bad, either. Slowly but surely making progress.
