Has anyone had success using this hair on older models?

It won't hurt to try,  the draped morphs won't match the older character poses exactly but it's well worth working your way through the morph dials to find one that works for any given pose.  The hair is actually quite flexible in use that way.

Here's what I did to give this a quick test:

Loading the base hair to Genesis 2 Female I used transfer utility (Unsupported,  short hair template)

Do that with each successive strands set then use "Fit To" and fit the strand sets to Free Spirit Hair so that the morphs all dial in at once when one is applied to the base hair.

I haven't tried on other older characters but if it works for Genesis 2 there really isn't any reason for it not to work on Genesis.

I like this hair, too.  On the Easy Morph now, but the other options look promising.

You sold me on this one! I wasn't too impressed until your image, love it :)

How about that.  laugh  Thank you very much.  Took me a few tries, but I finally got the knack.  I think.

Any way to move the part from side to side?  I know very few gals that use a middle part these days so that's one strike against my buying this if the part is stationary!

Hey, Wolfman.  Good to see you. :-)

Has anyone found a "behind the ear" morph?

No behind the ear morph, sorry!

Cool.  Being a hairdresser for over 35 years now trust me when I say that the gals (and guys) with longer hair flip their parts from side to side, sometimes daily but rarely in the middle.

This hair is ... beautiful, I just load the base hair and it drapes so nicely. I highly recommend adding each peice as needed. Add the base, pose it and if you want more, add another peice, pose and so on. I still think long hair should have bones to help with posing, but I'm very pleased with it. This pic is just the base hair with the wet morph to make it more smooth.

That looks fantastic! I love that you can see the scalp in the part, which gives it added realism. This hair definitely is added to my wish list! Awesome looking product!

I get the feeling I'm sort of out of favor with everyone but seeker273...thanks, seeker.  wink laugh

Seriously, not trying to flood the thread.  Just wanted to point out that new looks can be found by using this hair w/external hair shaders, like UHT2.

Wow.  That is impressive! smiley  Great hair, style and color.  I love the look of the model's skin, too.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. wink

    Flood away!

I'm in many respects a visual buyer.  Lot's of the time I can only see the true potential of an item if seen under the conditions that appeal to my needs and desires, so lots of renders of people using this product may in fact prompt some people on the fence to go ahead and click that order button.  It's a good thing.   The promos for the the hair are great, but there is still room for more renders with people experimenting and doing stuff that we haven't been able to do up to this point.

is there a way this will work on the boys?  Or maybe we can request a male version of this?

The images in this thread remind me of those Pantene commercials with the wild, out of control hair before the conditioner and then the sleek and shiny hair after, LOL. I always like the wild, uncontrolled look myself ;-)

I did try it on Genesis 3 Male,  was very Fabio like. Just dial through the pose morphs and/or shaping dials to find one that works with whatever pose you are using.  The Crimped hair works too.

Seems like more people are looking at threads and actually listening to what people are saying they want, and delivering products rather than reasons why those products won't sell.

Free Spirit Hair is something I've been looking for for the entirety of 2016,  and many other people besides myself have mentioned the desire for a similar item in the New products wishlist forum.  Even though I've already spent my alotted quota for the month,  FSH and one of the morph packs didn't even spend time in my wishlist, but went straight to my computer.

I'm hoping all the people out there who asked for this will support it whole heartedly, and make what must have been a very time consuming task more than worthwhile for the creator.

Indeed--I have this hair and I love it--it renders like a dream in stills. Really likin the crimped as I wanted a kind of bi raical style for a character. Also anyone looking for hair dynamics should check out Virtual World Dynamics at renderosity as well.  They are working on a daz bridge--I am using it in beta and it is amazing...should be out soon.  Can anyone contact Aave though--I'd love a 3 Delight  texture as the Iray textures are not working in the DAZ bridge as of yet...they ware working that kink out now however.     Yes. Thank you   AN for loving this community. One love guys :-)

I'm glad you are enjoying Free Spirit Hair,  I don't however have any plans to do 3Delight materials for this product.

Thank you Aave, I just love this hair!   I was unsure when it first came out, loved the look but didn't think my computer could handle it.
Today with it being on sale, thought I'd give it a try and now I'm kicking myself I didn't pick it up and the morph package sooner, so a big thank you, just a quick render attached and it was effortless!
