Prismatic Velvet is a custom velvet shader that uses innovative IOR (Index of Refraction) monochromatic gradients to create beautiful multicolor and solid-color fabric effects.

Both the velvet effect and gradient system are projection-based, making them UV-independent for consistent results across a wide variety of props and figures regardless of their UV layouts.

When applied to a surface using the Iray Uber shader, Prismatic Velvet automatically preserves existing bump, normal, cutout, and displacement settings. Additional Detail parameters are also included, allowing you to layer extra surface variation on top of the velvet effect for even greater realism and customization.

A helper script is included to make it easy to adjust gradient tiling, offsets, and rotation angles. Controls are provided for Base Thin Film, Top Coat Thin Film, or both simultaneously, giving you extensive creative flexibility.

A large collection of presets is included, and users are encouraged to mix and match settings to create unique and eye-catching fabric styles.
