  • Klaus Shape?

The iconic shapes (Michael, Victoria, Freak, etc) are owned by DAZ ("DAZ Originals"), either made inhouse or buyouts. Klaus is a PA product, i.e. not owned by DAZ.

And to be honest Klaus doesn't quite match the Freaks in quality.

And can you elaborate?  Have you bought it to check it out?

I think Klaus is positively STUNNING!!! The moment I clicked the shop page, HE JUMPED OUT AT ME. As I am a collector of MALES - and personally, I LOVE rugged, "NON-PRETTY" males - almost on the roughed up homely side... he is BRILLIANT. Yep... come payday... he will be starring in my runtime aka Smart Content tab to use his morphs with other characters, or I will be using him specifically! You did an amazing job on him. I don't always use so much of the BRAWN mind you, but it adds to the morphs needed.

    THUMBS UP! yes heart Klaus!!!

Thank you :) It's a bit different than what I've done before and there are so many male body types (both fantasy and realistic) that could be available to the gene pool to work with.

  • V4 skins onto Genesis 2 help

You need this to have the V4 UVs for Genesis 2 Female: http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female

It will also give you an autofit clone for V4 clothes, and a shape to make G2F look like V4.

  • V4 skins onto Genesis 2 help

Hi, I've got some V4 skins that I still love to use but would like to use them on Genesis 2 (even 3 if that's possible). I looked in the online documentation and found these instructions, but it doesn't work:

    Skin Textures

Genesis 2 Female can use textures made for Victoria 5 and for Victoria 4.  It's necessary to change the UV Set in the Surfaces Pane in Studio.

    1. Load Genesis 2 Female (or Victoria 6)
    2. Apply the Victoria 4 Texture or the Victoria 5 texture. (doesn't load onto G2 - I tried copying and pasting the surfaces too)
    3. Go to the Surfaces (Color) Pane.
    4. In the Surfaces Pane, Select the Genesis 2 Female (or Victoria 6) figure.  This should select all of the surfaces for the figure.
    5. In the right half of the Surface Pane, you can see the various properties for the surfaces.
    6. Look for the property called 'UV Set.'  It's usually at the top.
    7. Click the drop-down for 'UV Set' and change it to 'Victoria 4.'  Now the V4.2 texture on your Genesis 2 Female (or V6) figure should look correct. (had a look at this but no Victory 4 listed in the drop down)

This was written quite some time ago so perhpas the workings of DS have changed regarding this.  Does anyone have any pointers on the steps to how best to get a V4 skin onto G2/3 (without buying a product to do this please - I'd like to do it myself)?

EDIT: I've just tried copying and pasting from V4 onto G2 then changing the UV to V5 - works in places and isn't perfect - it's also very slow to have to do this for every surface.....copy paste all surfaces not working

  • Contact an Artist

    Hello,

I really liked SWAM's http://www.daz3d.com/laguna-naoko-props-for-genesis-3-female-s-genesis-2-female-s-and-victoria-4 mermaids and wanted to ask him/her about how they rendered it.

Is there a way to contact the artist? I couldn't find any way to send them a message on the site?

  • Where's Victoria 4

She's named Victoria 4.2, and every time someone mentions Vicky 4, that's who they are talking about. :-)  4.0 is the older version no longer available. Confused me at first, too, when I started out.

    http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-complete

EDIT: You'll need the 4.2 Base and the Morphs++ minimum, so this bundle is the best price for the two items.

  • G3 Female Genitalia - Can't Spot Render

I have DAZ 4.8 on a brand new Win 10 PC fairly well-stocked with a GeForce 970, an i7 Processsor, and 16GB RAM. Running Daz on an SSD with the actual content on a separate SATA drive. All week I've been able to Spot Render characters (All G3 females so far) with no trouble. Female Genitalia loading fine and working when I switch skins from Victoria 7 Mat to Summer, to Adaline to base G3 Female, etc.

All the sudden today, I can't spot render anything where the genitalia is part of the selection. I just get the grey patchwork blocks. If I change the view of the scene so the gens are not part of the picture, it renders fine.

What would cause Daz to suddenly not want to spot render some things and not others? The only thing I've changed is that I bought the i3 100 Expressions for V7 from Daz and installed them using the DIM.

  • Heads Up - Vampire bundle bonus [commercial]

Thanks to the Victoria 7 Pro being heavily discounted earlier, I took the plunge and obtained her - and have just noticed this other bundle will allow me access to two things I've been wanting for ages: A neck-bite application and forehead ridges to reproduce the kind of 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'/'Angel' vampiric appearance!

This is why I am purchasing it this instant!

But please, please, please... If you sell that same vampiric forehead morph for the G2F base, I absolutely will buy it. There are some very specific characters I've created with G2F, which I've been dearly needing that morph for... In fact, I've managed to create a couple of BTVS characters with G2F and the lack of that morph is the only thing preventing me from doing the fandom art I would like to with them.

  • No option for Victoria 4 UV maps on Genesis2

Yes, you do. This item will give you the Victoria 4 UV for G2F, as well as the V4 autofit clone.

    http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-for-genesis-2-female

It's listed on the page you linked, but it's down under "Clothing, Armor, Hair"; they probably should have moved that higher on the page.

  • No option for Victoria 4 UV maps on Genesis2

    Heyas!  I was reading : https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/entries/20680798-Converting-Generation-4-Content-for-use-with-Genesis-1-and-2

and it says " Genesis 2 Female can use textures made for Victoria 5 and for Victoria 4.  It's necessary to change the UV Set in the Surfaces Pane in Studio."

But my Genesis 2 female doesn't have the option for Victoria 4. It only offers  Base female, Girl 6, Victoria 6 and Victoria 5.  Do I need to buy a product to get the V4 UV map option?
