  • DS version of Poser match centers to morph?

    To get rid of a morph.
    CLOSE D/S.
    In the data folder, go to the main folder of whoever created the figure. {not the morph, the figure}
    Find the subfolder for Morphs, find the subfolder with the Name of whoever created the morph. Inside that folder, find the Morph that you want to remove: cut/paste it over to the Desktop. {Maybe make a Desktop shortcut in case you need to get back into that exact folder.}
    Open D/S, load the figure - see if the morph is gone.

    btw - to get the name of the morph, in D/S you might have to go to the Parameter Tab, right-click or click on the wheel cog, notice the actual "name" of the Morph. {not the label}.

    Disclaimer: Your computer etc. is your responsibility, nobody else's. It is not recommended to remove any of the core morphs that came with the Daz3D main figures [i.e. the Genesis clans]. They could be dependent on other morphs, or other morphs may require them.

  • DS version of Poser match centers to morph?

    I started to ask about this a day ago.  I created a face morph for an animal figure.  It works well except for when the tongue is out then it goes through the mouth.  I know this is a quick fix in Poser.  What can I do in DS?

    Also I dunno why I have such trouble with character presets and morphs but there's a morph in there that doesn't want to come out.  I want the slider gone.

    I should have mentioned that you'll have to re-save the morph in order for it to stay that way. I don't remember if Save Modified Assets works, or if you have to actually re-save the morph itself.

    The original blender looks to be gone.  Yah it's in DS as a morph.  I've tried changing the path in the parameter setting but it won't save that way.

    If you want to move morphs that you've already created, click on the cog icon at the top-right of the morph slider, select Parameter Settings, and change the Path.

  • Daz fix the foldering system for crying out loud

    I think the best would be a base frame following the folder structure most DAZ assets follow, but allowing the user re-organize the user facing files without it affecting any part of DS functions ('Smart' Content) or the functions of the product (Scripts belonging to the product)

    The same problem with placing whatever can already be seen in organisation of the morph dials in Parameters too.

    E' normale, il Transfer Utility si basa sulla posizione zero nativa del oggetto.

    Devi far così: Importa l'oggetto nella scena e il personaggio a cui vuoi adattarlo nella posa zero, senza applicare nessuna posa. Ora riposiziona la borsa in modo che calzi sul personaggio nel modo che ti serve, ricorda di non modificare la posa del personaggio.
    Una volta che la borsa è nella posizione giusta, nascondi il personaggio (icona del occhio nel tab Scene) e tieni visibile solo la borsa (Le ultime versioni di DAZ Studio permettono di salvare solo glo oggetti selezioniati, ma è sfondato e non affidabile), ed esporta come OBJ con le opzioni di base su un file separato.
    Ora elimina la borsa dalla scena, rivisualizza il personaggio e importa la nuova borsa, sarà nella posizione esatta. Applicando ora il Transfer utility la borsa verrà applicata nel modo corretto.
    Dovrai fare un pò di tentativi con i valori per avere un risultato perfetto, ma una volta fatto potrai salvare come Support Asset sotto il menu Save As.

     Save the MetaMixer preset using the script found in the Elements folder (same folder where you found the Gray Clay material). Be sure to have the Genesis character selected in the scene before running the script. Afterwards you can apply this preset to any Genesis 8/8.1 character.

    Alternatively just have the Genesis figure in the scene selected, then go to your Characters folder and apply the Iray materials of your character of choice. MetaMixer was made to work in real-time with the Filament renderer. If you want to render with Iray you need to make some changes. You might also want to add the Eyelashes and Tear figures to your figure in case you removed them before using MetaMixer (these 2 figures slow MetaMixer down to a crawl).

  • How can I use the Dusk S.E. figure to make an auto-fit clone for G3M, G8M, & G8.1M figures?

    But I think I might have messed up when exporting the figure into an OBJ. Maybe the position and scale weren't correctly Zeroed by a couple centimeters. If the didnt crash, I simply would have hit "reverse deformation" as I normally do. But I have to do this process with an old save. Is the a work around to get something precise?

    It won't be a path issue about C drive.  All of my Daz stuff lives on D and above (same reason as you, SSD smiley).  I am sorry you are having this issue.  PM me your email address.  If I can find time this weekend, I want to try something that might fix your issue.

    Or use a freebie pose transfer script:https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/514796/g2f-pose-transfer-to-g8f. Needs G2F to be loaded, pose applied, G8F loaded, then run the script. Does the job. Like the price too.
