Gotta love vague clients ... Back to the drawing board with a new manga character.
Gotta love vague clients ... All I was given was 'manga style' and some clothing and character descriptions like hair and eye color. I asked for visual examples and received photos of actresses rather than a style of manga and was told the rest was up to me.
So I buy Star 2.0 and bug y'all for a bunch of help and manage these drafts.

After all of that, the client finally shows me the style of manga he's looking for ... "Very nice. Can you make it more serious? Like Attack on Titan manga?" "More realistic details and proportions."
And shared this image as an example ...

Isn't that more of an Aiko/Hiro style? Naturally, nothing like what I created, lol.
If memory serves, I can do this with V4 and Bodies of Fantasy (no longer available in the store)
, but is there also a way to use G3 so I can use the same hair and clothes, which he liked?Do I load V4, apply the BoF morph I want, then transfer that to G3? Or is there already a Star 2.0/G3 morph to give me the desired manga style?
Clothing Transitions in animationGreetings,
Straight to the point, then the back story: How do you 'change' a figure's clothing during an animation? Let's say you want to 'morph' one outfit into another, or something to that effect, how does one go about doing that?
I have searched quite a bit, and the only results I ever see are tutorials on dforce basics, or animation tutorials. Even when watching some of the vids, they never cover a scenario where you'd be altering the clothing during an animation other than with dynamic effects, a.k.a., dforce. What if I wanted a shirt to fade from white to red during an animation, or have a shoe just disappear or something?
I'd appreciate any assistance or arrows pointing to some info I could peruse.

What's wrong with my G8F - Bend morphs are really wonkyUpdate: I started deleting the most recent morph files and deleting my GenX transfers fixed it.
OH NO! What's Happened to Victoria 8 ?I had this happen with HFS creature morph loading with genesis one years ago. IIRC I used the genx2 utility to kill the offender.Character facial features are different with FBX importgm.rogier.the said:
Could you please explain me how to set character to base resolution in DS? what do you exactly mean with DS, quite new to this all!
DS is Daz Studio, in case that was unclear. To change mesh resolution, you would go into the parameters pane, under General -> Mesh Resolution. There, you can toggle between base and high resolution in the drop-down menu, and change the viewport and render subD. FBX exports at base resolution, and I'm not sure if there's any way around that. If you've already animated in DS and just want to export to C4D for rendering, you could try exporting as Alembic, particularly using the free Sagan exporter by @themysteryisthepoint
Also with LOD modifier do you mean LOD object in Cinema 4D?
Yes, that's what I meant. I've only dabbled with that, and after further consideration, I don't think just dropping a higher-resolution OBJ in the LOD object would actually work because you'd have to transfer all the weights over to it, but I'd be happy to be wrong about that.

I would suggest removing the Genesis 8 essentials and Victoria 8, and reinstall them. Most likely, it is the Genesis 8 female that had a non zero value installed (probably an expression... that doesn't look like a morph to me).
It didn't work. I uninstalled Genesis 8 Female Essentials; Victoria 8; Genesis 8 Female Body Morphs; Genesis 8 Female Head Morphs; Genesis 8 Female Expressions -----and then reinstalled them. It had no effect on the ugly morph/expression that is plaguing my Genesis 8 Female Characters.
If it's a non-zero default then you need to fix or remove the morph with the non-zero default, uninstalling/reinstalling other content will have no effect.

OH NO! What's Happened to Victoria 8 ?Richard Haseltine posted this in another thread recently with someone who had the same issue (not necessarily the same character). How to identify what morph is loading with a non zero number.
Load the Dev Load version of the figure
Zero it (Edit>Figure>Zero>Zero Figure)
Memorise it (Edit>Figure>Memorise>Memorise Figure)
Go to File>Save As>Support Assets>Save Modified Assets - the dialogue box will tell you which properties have been changed, which should identify the problem.
I have had this issue in the past and agee that 'Currently used', even with hidden shown, didn't show the culprit. Had to go through the, humongous, full list :(
Curvy girls with no abs...Leonides02 said:
This may seem like a bit of a silly question, especially since I've been using Daz for years.
I prefer my characters to have a realistic percentage of body fat. However, I can't seem to find morphs where the girls don't have abs. I have lots and lots of morphs, but they of course are addidtive to whatever base character I'm using.
So, for instance, when I use the "voluptuous" morph, my character becomes more curvy. However, she still also -- inexplicably -- has abs and musculature.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

@ the OP, what morphs do you have installed ?
I have no problem creating "curvy" G8 Females with soft
abdomen areasDaz Bridge Support Is Here!Hi guys! What about the animation transfer to Cinema4D, does it work? I tried to use the bridge, but the avatar only gets into the initial pose of the animation, and there is no movement. Do you have any advice on how this should work? All other functions work correctly.
Thank you!
Doubts about skin configurationHello, very recently I started in the 3D world with Daz, I have learned a bit by watching tutorials or reading in Daz forums, of course I have seen the work of artists to try to replicate some aspects and in this way practice and improve my quality, recently I found an artist on twitter (he seems to be an NSFW artist) that caught my attention the skin configuration he uses on the characters, so I'm pretty sure he uses a skin tone modifier, but I don't know how manages to make the skin of the characters look "soft", I get the impression that if I could touch the skin of the characters it would be incredibly smooth, I don't know if it uses any morph, shader or plays with the surface parameters of the characters to make them look that way, so this is where I ask, does anyone know or have a slight idea what this artist does to make the characters look that way? (Here are 3 of his most possible SFW works) . Thanks and Stay Safe
OH NO! What's Happened to Victoria 8 ?This happened to me when I installed Demona for G8F from Rendo last year... It drove me crazy because I didn't know what was going on. I had to google to learn what was the problem and how to solve it by opening the duf file and changing the offending parameter. To this date the creator hasn't fix the issue and the character is few years old. In my case the morph didn't show up in the “currently use” filter because the value of 1 was set as default and therefore is not recognised as a modified (read used) value. I had to show hidden parameters and go one by one until I found the freaking head morph slider.
Can I swap or c/p MAT files from one character hair to another if for the same hair?WillowRaven said:
I am loving the capabilities for this hai, though. Working on morphing it to Bugga Boo and Star 2.0. Loving the massive amount of morph options. It drapes great, too, but turning off eyelashes helps, lol.
Aww thank you
my personal preference is for conforming + custom bones but seems people like dForce AS WELL lol so I will try to add that as much as possible. And nice tip about the lashes
Also I've noticed a few people dForce one item at a time, freeze, then do the next item and so on. I haven't had to do that, usually only have two dForce items in my simple scenes. I should investigate and add that to my tips/notes. OH NO! What's Happened to Victoria 8 ?I had this happen with G2 as well. I had to load G2F then zero the character which should zero all morphs. Then add the morphs you do want and save the character as a scene subset.
But finding the culprit bad morph ( like explained above ) is the best way to get rid of it for good.
