i think both are good. the victoria 4 is an old model but is the most popular and still used and most used by artist till these days. and yes victoria 4 has many character presets for it even till now. i do recommend getting it when it is on sale. next you can go with genesis 3 models. maybe you can avoid genesis 2 victoria 6 models, and go straight for victoria 7 which is more recent and improved version and iray friendly

The other good thing about Genesis 1 if I remember right ( or could be totally wrong ) is that Victoria 4 textures will go straight onto Genesis 1 with little to no modification.

That's correct. Genesis 1's UV natively accepts Generation 4 textures (V4, M4, F4, A4, H4, Kids 4, etc.) without the need for an additional plugin or product, though a little tweaking may be required sometimes.

V4 is pretty outdated, imo. The joints and bends do not look as good as the genesis figure, imo.

But if you do want to get V4 still, I'd recommend getting one of her bundles like the starter bundle: http://www.daz3d.com/victoria-4-2-complete or one of the other bundles. As to do any adjustments to her shape or look you need the morphs, like Wonderland said. 

V4 also sometimes goes on sale for REALLY low prices. I think I picked up her and one of her bundles for like $4 a few months ago. 

I got interested in V4 because I wanted to try the Beautiful Monsters product by traveler and it requires V4, can it be used in genesis 3?

Generation 4 is certainly still popular among the Poser crowd since it's the most advanced one without jumping through hoops (like the DSON converter for the Genesis lines).

Genesis 2 actually because of the DSON format. Some genesis 1 producta are actually in the old dsf format and won't load at all in Poser.

To the OP: are you using Poser or DS? If DS, then it's probably better to go with Genesis as the technology behind V4 is over 10 years old.

No, V4 was the figure before all the Genesis figures and must be purchased separately. 

Can you give me a link of the Victoria 4 base figure?

Is it a part of Genesis 1? If not is it already downloaded in Daz like the base Genesis 1-3 figures?

Hello people !

I have a question to ask reguarding Fit feature.
I purchased a product for my Genesis 3 Female(s) named as: Wear Them All - Autofitting Clones and Clothing Smoothers for Genesis 3 Female(s)

And a great outfit I want use on her, that was called as: Pink Dolly for V4
(also here on DAZ3D: http://www.daz3d.com/pink-dolly-for-v4)
My question is about the feets pose of the high-heels.
In fact, I fitted without any problems the left of the outfit, but for feets (high heels) I have a small problem..)
I used first the INJECT feet pose to my Genesis 3 Female (this is a file located in POSE of the product Pink Dolly for V4).
And then trying Fit To the High Heels (from Pink Dolly for V4) to my Genesis 3 Female
It fit to feet, yes, but, there is a problem, there is a GAP between feet and high heels.
(looks at the image attached).
I know If I unfit, I can move the pose of the feet WITHOUT affecting the pose of the high heels..
But, how doing that when it's fitted? (without unfit, or, without a headache) ?

You should have three installers for this product - one for Genesis 2 female, one set of PoserCompanion Files for the Genesis 2 Female version, and one for Victoria 4. If not, and you are looking in Install Manager, it may be an issue with the Download Filter settings (button on the Ready to Download tab).

According to the readme it will be in the Content Library pane under, assuming you installed to the My Daz 3d Library folder, be in Poser Formats>My Daz 3D Library>Hair>DAZ Victoria 4>OOT Safyrana Hair. Replace hair with Materials for the materials files. The Victoria 4 version is a separate installer.

As supplied most, if not all, Victoria 4 is not going to have Iray materials. However, that won't necessarily stop you from using them - though I would suggest investing in UHT 2 and some Iray fabric shaders that you like the look of.

This last gift post comes to you from me.  You see the face of Victoria 4 in my avatar?  She is dressed in a winter fur coat but before she was all cozy in her coat she was masquerading as a flower.  This flower is in PSD format with layers and you can put your own photograph in place of Victoria's face.  Hide the layer V4 is on and replace it with your own photo.  You will most likely have to cut out the face on your photograph so you will need any software that can use PSD format, such as Photoshop, Paint Shop or Gimp.  I included an example of using another face on the flower.

I'm also going to include another 2D item that was made in Incendia.  I call them ornaments but they can be used for any purpose that your mind can imagine....belt buckles, jewelry, hanging from a Christmas tree?  There are about 8 different designs...I forgot to count them, lol.
