I install all of my content through the Smart Content pane (when available). ALL PRODUCTS and AVAILABLE is selected, FILTER BY CONTEXT is also unchecked. My METADATA has also been updated. And it hasn't all ready been installed into my computer...

Only thing I can think of is my Premier Membership. It ends the last day of July. However, that shouldn't exclude me from getting the perks. Or so I'm assuming...

Anyone else having a problem with Caius not showing up for them to download? I currently have Premier membership.
He isn't showing up in either DAZ Install Manager for through the download option in the Smart Content pane (I can never remember what you call it).
You can only download Premier exclusives through Connect. Log into Daz Studio and update metadata and you should be able to find him, and download him.
Not showin' up.

Can't seem to get imported expressions to work on HD Mesh.Krys Kryngle said:
Sorry for resurrecting an older post but I had this issue too, and was able to solve it and I wanted to post this in case it can help someone. As Padone said, I'm using Xin's add-on but in order to get the HD expressions to work correctly, I convert the base res character to HD, then import the HD morphs. So in Xin's addon, go to HD Mesh -> HD Mesh Generation, and Generate Rigged HD. I use subdivision 2. It is enough to show the HD expressions but not too crazy on resources. And then, here is the important part, I import the HD morphs after I generate the HD mesh in the next panel down. So HD Mesh -> HD Shapekey, add your HD morphs, and click generate. I've attached an example to show what HD looks like with an expression from Alive HD G8F.
Thanks for the explanation. Your hints are always good.
Have to try this, as I have the Xin add-on.Creating Shape PresetYes, Shape Transfer may change G9's Proportion Height and Scale. You need to either keep their values (screenshot 1), or export the figure to OBJ, reset Scale / Proportion Height and import OBJ as a morph with Morph Loader Pro to update Body Morph (screenshot 2). Then you'll only have Head and Body morphs with correct figure's size. Then save morph assets.

Advanced Smart Content SearchThat's right ~ But starting from DS 4.22 if I remember correctly, there's an option of "Update Metadata" when log in Daz Connect, so you can always uncheck the option to avoid DS updating metadata.
To me, now logging in Daz Connect without Update Metadata is to only verify Premier membership... nothing else.
Advanced Smart Content Search@jmucchiello, One of the biggest mistakes I made early on was to sign into Daz with Daz Studio and to use Connect out of ignorance and also use DIM as my primary download method. That caused many issues that forced me to delete all Connect updates/installs. Even with over 20,000 products now I would rather delete all my products again and reinstall from scratch.
I now never sign in to DAZ within Daz Studio. Everytime I have been told to do that by Customer Service, Connect has messed up my files and metadata. Smart Content is a useful tool if not ruined by Connect.
Using premade heads from Blender to work as a morph in DazYou would probably need to get the Genesis whichever mesh (base resolution) to match the shape of the head, probably using sculpting or shrink-wrapping tools, then you could import that as a new morph.
Premier character vanished from my library :Inemesis10 said:
Ah, we should discuss the details:
When you log in with Daz Studio Premier, is update metadata checked and does it complete the metadata update (you should see a little progress bar in the lower right corner of your screen)?
Next, if you go to the Smart Content, do you see the product at all or is it missing when you are logged in? Is it missing from your Install tab too?
The bar appears when I login, but stays at 0% and disappears in a few seconds
The product is missing everywhere, I still have instead other Premier characters in my library

I stumbled on another labeling issue today. I opened the Alpha, 6.25.2025.17807 and had sorted my Wardrobe by Product ID: Lowest First and as I reviewed them, I noticed files with .duf and .dsf extensions were missing their labels. My first reaction was I had forgotten to add them when I did the metadata as these were V4/M4 and G1 files, but I opened the Beta, 6.24.0.3 and looked at those files and they did have their labels, indicating if they were Wardrobe, Accessory, or Prop... See the snip I took of the two desktops with the Alpha behind the Beta showing the same outfit. I did a scan of other type of files in the Alpha that are old enough that I would have had to assign metadata or in the case of DAZ+ had it, and they were fine. I did open Content DB Manager and added the Type of file (label) and it did show up at that time.
I have done a random sample of my wardrobe from G1, G2, G3, G8, G8.1 and G9 and it appears that only the label ‘Wearables’ is appearing. All other categories are blank in the Alpha. I have not seen this in the Beta at all. And I check all new products.
In a few cases of old Poser environment files the thumbnails were showing the 'grey image with the exclamation point in a box', even though it is there in the Beta. But this is not consistent for all Poser files, I can't seem to find a pattern for that. And in one case, Castleguarde, SKU 2419, it loaded okay.
Fixed in 6.25.2025.18018, we are told.

PhilW LongGlam Hair problemI've recently purchased PhilW's LongGlam Hair and while I can add it to a figure with no problem, none of the hair color H.Material assets work. The preview base color changes but when rendered with IRay, only the black hair color shows up. Asset was installed with DIM.
See attached.

Something that I've noticed has showed up in the 6 Alpha and the others, 4 Release, & 4 Beta are my top level Smart Content icons in the top right hand corner now mostly have a white symetric and vertiically bisected circle with a small white triangle pointed down at the bottom gap in the circle. What does that mean? Is this a icon telling me I have content available in that DAZ Connect again even though I've installed it via DIM? If so, I wish it wouldn't do that with the same product has already been installed via DIM. Or is that just notice that the meta data has been updated, example: data to better sort by genre, fashion, and other data, or that tells me I own the interactive license for that product. If so, how to I get DAZ Studio to update all of those metadata at once, but of if it's not wanting me to installs all of those products a second time, which would be a huge time wasting, space wasting, organizational disaster?
That does sound like the avaiualble for install through Connect con. In the latests builds of DS 4 and in DS 2025 it should be hidden on products that are nstalled through DIM (or manually installed and their metadata imported).
Also, while I'm asking that why is it that each time I start up DS 4.X Release, DS 4.X Public Beta, or DS 6 Alpha I get a dialogue messague before the DAZ Studio proper is on the screen that I am going to need to restart DS for the plugins changes and such to take effect. They haven't changed and restarting will just show that message again. When will that be fixed?
It was fixed some time ago.
The two issues together do sound as if something (security software, system utilty) is getting in the way of DS' and/or DIM's ability to update certain data.
OK, thanks, I'll look around.
Creating/Saving/Applying G9 Full Body MorphYou're not a PA anymore by now ? If you're still a PA, you have multi-resolution plugin then you can freely export / import OBJ with multi resolution ~~

Well, M3D Bennet is one of the unique case, i.e. there're two DUF files of Character Preset, one locates in \Characters folder, another locates in \MrBennet folder.... but both of them should have metadata with Icons and Compatibilities info. (screenshot 1).
There're some different cases: icons come from Content Type in metadata. Sometimes there're no Content Content type assigned but just Compatibilities data, like Mr. Bennet on your side, you see no icon there but just filtered result. Sometimes, there're zero metadata, you'll see no icon and filtered result either, like Lucas 8 on your side... I suppose you misdid something in DS or your Daz Library for some reason... then some metadata are gone.
Re-importing metadata should fix the issue. But you better first of all double check the case beforehand. For instance, Lucas 8, you couldn't filter it out. So, follow below step:
1. In Content Library, right-click on Characters folder > Edit Metadata....
2. In Content DB Editor, locate Lucas 8, check if there's a Content Type assigned, as well as /Genesis 8/Male assigned in Compatibilities (screenshot 2)If nothing is assigned, it'll prove the reason why you see no Icon and couldn't filter it out.
Then try re-importing the metadata of Lucas 8 ONLY ! Then see if it works.
Thank you for your help. That worked. If you are a member over at DA and are not a CORE member, I'd like to show my appreciation for your assistance and gift you with a CORE membership
Ah, great ! And I'm all good at DA, thank you very much for your kindness ! Happy rendering!
