The big announcement on September 21, 2022 - place your bets!
Do I read the times correctly? Does it really mean the announcement is planned for midnight on a workday for the Central European Summer Time zone?
If so, I find this very, very disheartening.

There seems to be a very common theme with people who can't load stuff, so common it's hard to ignore. The common theme seems to be DAZ Central. There are people who succeed with DAZ Central, but large proportion of those who do have problems & ask about it in the forums use DAZ Central.
It's the whole process that is being presented to new users that's essentially bound to create problems.
At DAZ site, they are given a link "Download Studio", which doesn't download DAZ Studio, but offers to install DAZ Central instead.
When the user has installed DAZ Central, downloaded and installed DAZ Studio and the assets that come with it and starts DAZ Studio the first time, the user is presented with a dialog asking for login credentials in a way that one thinks they should be given.
Having given the login credentials to DS and permission to go online, DAZ Connect within DS starts updating the metadata and 'bugging' the user that the content has not been installed (with DAZ Connect) and makes the user think it has to be installed again, which DAZ Connect does to an other location, taking twice the space on users C-drive (default location)
As any content installed with DAZ Connect takes priority over the installations made by other methods (DAZ Central/DIM/Manual installation), even when DAZ Connect installed content is corrupt, the user ends up with content that does not work and no way to figure out why...There is no warning or notice explaining that logging in to DAZ Studio, is only needed when one chooses to install content with DAZ Connect within DAZ Studio and if one does choose to do that, there is no point in using the other installation methods.

Daz Central is the default method, it takes some effort and knowledge to find Install Manager, so the association may be correlation rather than cause. (No, I have never worked for teh tobacco industry.)
DazCentral Help NeededDIM will inherit the paths set in Central (and vice versa). If it is installed on a clean system Daz Central will ask for a single location and place everything in sub-folders of that - the idea being to simplify the inital set up process, since people found the idea of content directories and so on confusing. If you click the gear icon in DIM and choose Advanced Settings you should be able to configure all paths (though the software path will be a base location, the isntallations will then be palced in a standard Daz folder within that, but a lot of other aplication installers do the same).
Where can I download DazStudio WITHOUT DazCentral?Depending on why you don't want to use Daz central there is also Daz Install Manager, there should be a link on the same product page as the direct download.

CMS does not work properly I lost the use of Smart contentHi everybody,
Do you also experiment difficulties with the CMS in daz studio?
Has anyone a clue of what's happening?
the program takes ages to launch, looking for the CMS engine (witch is already installed with daz pro), and when it starts, I have nothing in my smart content panel or it takes several minutes to find things.
I have deinstalled and reinstalled several time (witch is franckly painful! ) with Daz central or DIM
Any help welcome
can't find cyclorama files in latest Daz Studiotried uninstalling and reinstalling it using daz central, same results
can't find cyclorama files in latest Daz StudioI searched for products and found them, and they loaded just fine.
It loaded from smart content. Using Daz Central,
Ok, I don't have that problem. Every way I tried

Daz Central doesn't work well with macs. It's better to stick with DIM.
It doesn't seem to be much better, as it too insists there needs to be an Applications folder.
I got no choice but to keep doing this manually, aren't I? :/

All morphs for all content suddenly goneOh, that is odd. Can you check that the morph files still exist on your computer - according to the ReadMe you should be able to find them here (three examples):
-
/data/second circle/SC Ana Hair/SC Ana Hair Rigged/Morphs/second circle/SC Ana Hair/Back Out.dsf
-
/data/second circle/SC Ana Hair/SC Ana Hair Rigged/Morphs/second circle/SC Ana Hair/Back up.dsf
-
/data/second circle/SC Ana Hair/SC Ana Hair Rigged/Morphs/second circle/SC Ana Hair/Behind Shoulders.dsf
Can you find them there? If not then a reinstall of the hair might be a good idea.
(If you install through Daz Central or DIM, that data folder will be in your main content library). If you installed with Daz Connect (i.e. from inside Daz Studio) then they will be a little harder to find.
Edit to add: I'm sorry, I just noticed the time and need to go now. If noone else drops in to help then I will be back tomorrow.
Changing content folderAs long as the files are still in the same place within the new content directory then they would still be found, Daz Studio stores relative paths only for files in a content directory (which is why presets and scenes are portable as long as the required content is present in the correct relative location). The main potential issue is nestec content directories - if both My Library and My Library/Content are content directories and a file in in My Library/Content/Runtime/Textures/... then the relative path may include the Content folder, which would then fail on a different arrangement, which is why nested content directories should be avoided.
Install Manager/Daz Central do store absolute paths in their manifests, so if you have installed through those you will want to edit the manifests or - more safely - reinstall (if you kept the zips Install manager has an option to reinstall uisng the current path).

Massive interface overhaul to look like a 2022 program to with regular sized thumbnails...
That would be great, but the verbiage did read "jaw-dropping new addition to the Daz lineup" That implies a new product, though given the loosness with which DAZ marketing tends to weild the actual meanings of words in the English language, it could just as easily mean DAZ Central 2.0 or a line of NFT-Shirts (they're all unique because we've got a really terrible company assembling them and they're hand-colored by third graders!)
having an issue using ‘Mesh to Volume’In DIM, click on the magnifying glass to see the list of available filters. Then select Filter by Tag and then Connect Installed. (Or just type tag::all::CloudInstalled into the filter text box.)
Then look at the products listed in your DIM Installed tab. Products listed there are products that are installed both ways.I don't know how to check for Daz Central installs, because I've never used Daz Central. Many people confuse Daz Connect and Daz Central, because of the similar names, but they are completely different.

Just out of curiosity, could someone who actually got the email post the text, if you still have it and if that's allowed? For some reason, I never got it -- umpteen other marketing emails from Daz every week, but that one doesn't arrive, of course -- and the Youtube page is wonderfully unspecific as to what time zone it's telling me that the livestream starts in. All it's saying is "September 21 at 3pm." Is that Mountain? Is Youtube translating to my time zone? Is that GMT? What?
It says 16:00 MDT, which would be 6pm EDT, 3PM Pacific, 5pm Central
Thank you kindly!

Is the Content Management System working - entries in Smart Content, Presets tabs, Categories and Products in the Content Library pane?
Yes, everything else working fine, and funny enough, it didn't mess the entire content libray, some works as they use to, it ruined 25%-30% stuffs from my library
Haw are you installing your content, DAZ Central, DAZ Install manager (DIM), manually or do you install the content inside DAZ Studio, using DAZ Connect?
Do you log in to DAZ Studio?
Where is your content installed? (Show us the paths in Content Directory Manager, all of them like in the second attachment)
I install my content via manual install, install manager and smart content manager, I did making sure all my content directory is set to the correct drive/folder, but sad thing is, Daz don't always allocate contents to your selected directory.
All my content path is set on my G drive on both Daz studio, and Daz smart content manager, but after a few weeks Daz went back and targeting at my C drive exclusively regardless of my directory selection.
The only way trusted way I can get content installed to the correct loction is via manual file moving.
