Has there been any update to this ? any fix?

I can export the G3F/ Victoria 7 as .fbx with keyframed animation and import to 3ds Max without issue, as soon as I add morphs the animation is broken.

Hi. Anyone is having problems with some figures using i13 Stylish Apartment?

I'm having problems with Cathy, Michael, Victoria and monique. Problems with hairs, cloth and accessories that in other environment I don't have. I attached one image with one of those problems.

I'm using iray. I tried with decrease the light, the intensity and headlamp. I have changed the render settings to default too but nothing works. Thanks!

I thought it would be interesting to note that there is a big difference (about the size of that line) in the lip UVs for V7 and G3F. The Blue UV is for V7, Pink UV is G3. The transparent lips on top is from the makeup resource listed on both the Trish and Jenn readme pages. AND, if one is also creating a custom morph, those merchant resources could be chaos for any character. One could possibly have layers on top of layers of different peoples textures (some for V7, some for G3), saturation levels, tone levels etc. I may be way out in left field, but just an interesting note. :)

Yes, Victoria 7 and Gemesis 3 female have diferent UVs (like most of the other Daz iconics figures). Trish and Jenn use Genesis 3 female resources, and they also use genesis 3 female UV. The reason they is "...for Victoria 7" in their title is because they use Victoria's morph ( body at 100% and head at 15%) 

This line was an artistic choise. But, it appear that it was not to the taste of everyone. That's why I decide to create this smooth preset to lower the effect 

Also, Legacie Hair has 4 different pieces that can be used independently. I particularly like the bangs with other hairs. 

Human figures are not usually the main focus of my images so I tend to make a lot of use of Predatron's various LoRez characters, especially Loretta and Lorenzo Lorez.  When I need a human character front and center it's Genesis 2 about 80% of the time, Genesis 1 about 10-15% of the time and Victoria 4/Michael 4 the rest of the time. I do occasionally use Genesis 3 if I am rendering in Blender rather than Carrara, but that makes up a pretty small portion of my renders.

Went to Content Library > Products > V > Victoria 42 Base and clicked on !All_Mapless, and the default-loaded male figure suddenly took on that skin, I clicked V4 Arms Raised 01 and the figure took that pose.... so, yeah, I'd say the conent now loads.

Here are my March 2017 Top Picks. Mostly older stuff, because I spent the entire month working in Generation 3. It was a good month to do so with all the extra discounts on older SKUs. I learned so much, and gained a new appreciation for Gen 3 as well as Gen 4. 

1. Vega for V3 - Render 1 | Render 2 She is so gorgeous in Iray, and totally changed how I look at older items in the store and how I shop. Between her and "The Dress" for V3, I am now hooked and totally in love with Generation 3. I spent a good part of this month playing with her and with her generation. I plan on doing a lot more with them as I've found they are still very beautiful and useful. I think Vega is easily one of the best V3s out there. 
2. Skadi for V4  Render 1 I fell in love with this outfit when I saw it on RDNA over a year ago, and had it on my wishlist for a very long time. It has so many pieces and textures to it, and it's so well made. I finally picked it up when it moved over to DAZ. It fits very well on both older and newer generations. Here it is on a V7 and a V3. Totally epic. Totally cool! 
3. DA Real World Lighting - Render 1| Render 2 I love the flexibility of this set. It simulates real world lighting very well and is easy to use. Adding a haze softens the lighting nicely. Perfect for real world AND fantasy renders of all kinds. 
4. V3 High Fantasy Character and Clothing Bundle-  Render 1 Don't be fooled by the promos, This older bundle is an incredibly large and versatile set, it comes with multiple pieces of clothing, 2 entire V3 characters (who look very much like Aowyn and Arwin from LOTR.) There are also 14 textures for the MFD, which will work across all generations (working on a render of all of them.) This set is a STEAL.
5. M3 High Fantasy Character and Clothing Bundle- Render 1 This set also comes with two characters, for M3 (they look like Legolas and Aragorn from LOTR.) A very nice, full clothing set with many textures is included.

Wow, it's that time again! Of course, because I spent all month using old stuff, that's what I picked. I learned so much and developed a new love for Gen 3 and Gen 4. These older products are well made. With a little patience, they are still very useful and beautiful. I have SO MUCH I didn't have time to render! That's the reason this list isn't a mile long.

1. AlterGlow by Fabiana - Render 1 Unbelievably cool emissive shader system by Fabiana. Lots of ways to use it, that I'm just beginning to explore. Very beautiful in renders. 
2. AlterPlanets by Fabiana- Render 1 I love being able to add glowing planets to renders. Great for sci-fi, fantasy and surreal renders.
3. Pride 2007 for M3 by Mcafee2000- Render 1 A freebie character by Mcafee 2000. Beautifully done and translates well to Iray.

It's disappointing that there hasn't been a saree since Victoria Three.  I fell in love with them while working in Dubai many years ago and brought several back for my wife and daughter.  Someone made a Vicky Four character some time back that was supposed to resemble Aishwariya Rai but it didn't.

@MDO2010 - regarding postwork's definition and whether it is good or bad  - you said it perfectly, from my perspective.  For me, the label is merely informative so that a person knows what a particular software can generate.  If two of my images are being used to compare settings for a program's function, then postwork would often be bad.  If the image is for a different purpose, then postwork is often great.  I have different goals for different images.

@Stezza - love how you combine NPR and PR to create your sketch-like images. 

@Vyusur - wow, your characters are always beautiful, and never look like the Michael and Victoria figures.  I also thought of the actor, Robert Pattison.  Very handsome.  Great job.  You are correct about the limits of the NPR render engine and of Carrara's Toon!Pro III.  That is one reason to composite them with elements from a Photoreal render pass, as Stezza does.

Okay, added that folder to Poser Formats.  Now, going to Content Libtary, Products, V, Victoria Base, I see the thumbnail pictures.

Agreed.  Curious to hear what other people have to say. 

Here is a demonstration of my use of content for David 3, Victoria 3, Victoria 4, and morphs for genesis, on genesis 2 figures in Carrara. 

Only the Genesis 2 figure of the same sex and the Geensis 3 figure of the opposite sex are supported by default. AutoFitting from earlier figures requires either buying an add on with clone shapes (such as the Wear Them All products) or going in steps - AutoFit Victoria 4 to Genesis, save, AutoFit that to Genesis 2, save, AutoFit that to Genesis 3.

The programm is a lil bit buggy or I don't understand it. Cause if I summarize the used VRAM Megabytes it is less than 7 GB all together! But the tool advises a shortage of 6 Gb VRAM! I also don't get it, why with every usage it adds my GPU? It also shows my available VRAM about 9 GB though I ve got 11. Ok maybe it will be needed for a different calculated process...

I also have tried to delete everything unnecessary in the scene before. I'm not that experienced with texture maps and their editing. @Tabor How can I reduce the texture size?

By the way last time I ve tried to render this scene it somehow has chosen my GPU for rendering but an other problem appeared: now when rendering this scene I get all the time the "your computer is low on memory" window message and the programm crashes, though my 32 GB RAM is not even at 50% usage!

You mean something like in these screengrabs?  I don't see a literal My Daz 3D Library folder there, I do see ones for Daz Connect and My Library, though.  None of those show Victoria, and the My Library only shows a dragon.

Most of us seem to think that Eva and Genevive are the new Stephanie. Someone claimed a while back that Daz mentioned discontinuing Stephanie for being too average/everyday-purposed, but I find that hard to believe. Selling multiple characters of the same theme hasn't been an issue for the past two generations, Stephanie is always the 3rd wheel to Victoria & Michael, and unlike the discontinued male bases, she actually sells well every generation. I would love to see a Stephanie 7 for no other purpose than to see her come with a David replacement, like how Aiko 7 did with Kenji after loosing Hiro. Hell, even Girl finally got Guy as her official partner, and he was originally a PA character!

Here is an example of how the UltraGenesis presets differ if you don't have the required character morphs. I have also discovered that the product  requires Genesis 3 Female Head Morphs, which are not listed on the product page.

This is Edith, which dials in some of Victoria 7 and some of Eva 7 as well as various morphs that I believe are from Genesis 3 Female Head Morphs.

I bought the set for a song in the sale and this is my rendering of Gumdrop Granny. I don't have Eva or karen so I just dialed her in to a standard G3F. The skin is Ceridwen and that's Toulouse hair with UHT2 shaders.

 

She looks pretty good even without the "required" character morphs. The only thing that looks a little off is her eyes. They seem to be very angled down toward the outer edges. Or is it just her makeup that gives that effect?

OK, I had another try with Gumdrop Granny. Fixed the eyes and added a little Zev0 magic appropriate for her age. No portrait lights this time, just a quickie render with the standard environment.
