Genesis 9 Starter Essentials

And this not being accessible these morphs like before totally sucks! These are the features which I buy new character/generations for. Now we must wait for content creators to develop morphs instead of creating some uniqueness to our own characters by ourselves. This means using this new character base for me is mostly off the table until fork over increasingly limited funds to buy content at a later date.
We have been told, there will be morph packs for G9 just as there has been for previous generations, but they haven't been released yet. The merchant resource body shapes is not meant for us mortals.

Now I know this is not the intended use, but I thought I'd note this. When you apply shaping from the Smart Content menu, in this case Zev0's Growing Up, this happened XD
It looks like the eyes are no longer auto following, or that the other morph you applied is not also applied to the eyes.
I do not have "Growing up" for Genesis 9, so I cannot really say.
But I do know my character works with all the proportion morphs that come with G9

Yep I'm gonna ask why it's doing this. When a linked morph is missing, it should not be auto dialing. It should remain inactive. My apologies for the results users are getting, I did not expect this to happen.
I will try and upload a quickfix (if possible) here in the thread. My faith in you remains solid. I recognise this is a Daz issue but thank you for assisting.
Just received a sales alert for Zev0s GU for G9, yet where is it? [SOLVED]Gordig said:
Zev0's post in their commercial thread suggests that they don't understand that we don't have access to the basic morph packages yet, and Daz didn't see fit to release those morphs on or before the release date of Growing Up.
It's not really that - Studio is activating assistive/cbs (the new JCM) morphs for morphs that don't exist - the default behaviour should be the opposite.
Growing Up for Genesis 9 (Commercial)Growing up is in my cart. I had noticed the breast issue from the promos and in my head wondered if it was the lack of the basic morph packs which we should have had by now. But I love your products and this one especially and after reading this thread, appreciate you listening to everyone and going to the fix. Thank you.
Easy way to fix the transfer utilityTransfer Utility should always be considered a starting-off point. It's not smart enough to know which parts of the mesh should and shouldn't move with each body part, so it just works off proximity to bones.

Attached two images, one just dialling in GU, the other using one of the presets.
That does not look correct. The chest is not that pronounced. This is what you should be getting.
And presumably that's what we would be getting if Daz hadn't made the mistake of releasing your product before the morph packages that you based your product on.
Ye I see the problem. I added support for some Daz morphs, but since they are not there for users, it is auto dialing them up. Well that's retarded, they should remain inactive instead of auto dialing...
That certainly appears to be the problem. I'd suggest then that the onus is on Daz to fix this incorrect behaviour in Studio.
Manually resetting the two breast morphs to 0 appears to fix the issue.
Growing Up for Genesis 9 (Commercial)Ye I can confirm. If I remove the daz body morphs from my data I get the same results. Going to see if there is a way to keep the supported morphs in, without them auto dialing if the Daz morphs are not present, because this is supposed to be a stanalone product with no added morph packages needed.
Easy way to fix the transfer utilityHi everyone! I used the transfer utility on an armor created by me and I get this:

Is there an easy way to fix it? Without using the pJCMs or the node weight map? that would take a lot of work?
Is there a way to say, being an armless garment, not to change or change very little to the movement of the arms?
Or Maybe there is an option to say, don't move the vertices too far away from those close to them.
Or a setting from 0 to 100 that can tell when to warp the garment? Thank you

I'm glad I'm not the only one disappointed with the way Daz rolled out G9. First of all the Victoria 9 character....two skin choices, freckled and vitiligo?!?! I will never use vitiligo (and I read a lot of other people won't either), I just don't understand why they didn't offer freckled and just a regular skin texture (with no moles, freckles, blemishes, warts, or big patches of different colored skin).
Also not releasing a morph pack, with body and face morphs is also hard to understand. Instead we get a "starter pack" with a million choices of eyebrows and eyelashes.
As shadowhawk1 said, this release is a train wreck. Poor planning, poor implementation.LOL I was jsut going to reply about the calling me Shadowhack1 when you corrected it. Hadn't had a good laugh like that since... Well the release of Victoria 9 :D
To be honest, I feel for all the people that bought the pre-release bundle in good faith not knowing what was in it and are now stuck behind a gate as all of those that purchased the same bundle the day of release are getting to use her. I think daz has finally trumped their storefront disaster.
Sorry about the misspelling, I'm due to get new glasses soon. But glad you got a laugh.
Anyway, now they have Toon Kids and Fantasy Ear morphs for G9 - But no essential (normal) body and head morphs yet. There is "Werwulf for Genesis 9" that looks like it might have some muscle morphs in it, but it's probably one slider adjustment for the whole body. Priorities! Priorities! (And no I'm not a pateint kind of person)
LOL no need to apologize, like I said I thought it was funny. Yeah I see they are coming out with more and more stuff, but strangely no morph packs. This train just keeps picking up speed.

I am wondering who has done the priorization of items. What we have seen yetsrday and today does not make a lot of sense. I would have expected this:
- Release of Genesis 9 and Victoria 9
- Release of morph packs and pose converters the next day
Today's Age Control morph pack does also not make any sense, as it does require still unreleased body morphs to work with. A morph converting your figure to a 4-5 yera old girl, with adult-shaped breasts just does not make any kind of sense.
Also, the Genesis 9 Character Essentials do contain the male and female anatomy, but no material for those but the normal maps.
PowerPose does not work, as there is no template made available for Genesis 9.
Auto-fitting of hair just does not work at all. Especially trying to auto-fit dForce hair will have nice effects during simulation. @Toyen has posted a nice work-around (https://www.deviantart.com/toyen-art/journal/Tutorial-How-to-Fit-Poseable-Hair-to-Genesis-9-933611835), but that is not very universal.
In total, it seems that this release was rushed, or not carefully planned, or both. That release has failed in so many areas (apart from Victoria 9 herself - she really is damn cute).
Growing Up for Genesis 9 (Commercial)Ok so in conclusion I will be adding a native flat chest morph so there is no reliance on Daz's Breast Gone morph. That is the only area where Daz's body morphs is required.

Ok, so I just bought and loaded this product, restarted Daz Studio and reloaded Genesis 9 figure to be sure of a stable base. Most of the morphs do not work - you slide them and nothing happens, you type in a percent and it just reverts to 0%. As StarLabz notes, I suspect this is because the head and body morphs have not yet been released, yet these are not listed as requirements. What a train wreck this week has been. One screw up after another. I have full confidence that Zev0 will sort this out, but I really cannot do much with V9 or G9 until these issues are sorted out and a pose converter released.
Hi. Did you read the pdf? There is a section that explains this under usage tips.
"If you dial any of the Youth specific morphs while the Youth Base Morph is at 0 value, you will
see no changes to those dials. They are designed only to activate once the Youth Base Morph
has a dialed value. If you try to dial up any of them they will have a value based on how
much you tried to dial it up, but will only reflect once the Base Youth Morph has been activated. When using any Neutralize Morphs, they must not exceed the value of the Youth Base Morph in
order for them to work correctly. Secondly, some morphs will auto undial to prevent stacking.
For Example - if you have GU Youth Neutralize Head dialed there is no need for the
GU Youth Neutralize Nose dial to be active as well."Read the manual? Of course not! Apologies. Just assumed it would work the same way as your previous GU products...

Most of the morphs require 'GU Youth Based Morph' to be dialled in, even just 0.001. But, yes the product is not usable until the supposed requirement of G9 body morphs is actually released.
Do you guys have the Femine and Masculine base morphs?
Yep.
