then you'll not need DS6 as it won't do the weight transfers needed to use the models in Carrara

You will need DS V4.x to do the transfers.

Octane Render 4 Carrara won't work on the latest Nvidia driver

so not going to be using anything on my Win10 rig that needs updating from now on

rolled back driver, I am  probably stick with the version of D|S that has 3Delight too 

if I win a lottery will buy a separate Win11 rig for it with a 5### card, not seen anything oinking in the sky though

Nobody is going to be owning a compatible Nvidia card in the future for 3D rendering

(all needed for massive Data Centres, not so much rendering pretty prompted pictures but using LLM to plot our demise)

... and they lost the rights to Sky rockets in Flight (3Delight)

Carrara on the CPU still rocks far faster than DAZ iray on the CPU...

Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Pixlr or Qwen the choices are many and are out there to give your Carrara renders some ummphhh

Yup.  My plan to buy a new computer with an nVidia 5000 GPU with 32GB are on hold.  Sticking with DS 4.24 for iRay backgrounds and Carrara for foreground animation.

I installed it to see

so far it has:

hung my Windows taskbar, had to force a restart 

this version doesn't support auto weight transfers so no more triax to blended weight transfers   and I asked the AI within DS6 why and it replied with all kinds of weird stuff. 

so, for Carrara users don't lose your previous version of DS if you want to do simple weight transfers which Carrara users need to use DS models in Carrara. 

Unless there is a new different process to do it which I can't find.
