IIRC none of the base textures for the Genesis series of figures comes with genital textures, you need to use a different texture set ie Victoria 7's.

I have this same issue with over 1600 products out of 4400+ total.  That is almost half of my library of products.  It would take me forever to edit metadata for all of these.  And a lot of these are not old products such as Aiko 6, Blackout for Genesis 2 Females, Dark Heart for Genesis 2, even Victoria 6 and 6 HD.

I also tried uninstalling all the StudioCF and PoserCF files through DIM since I don't use Poser.  Those are all in Lost and Found as grey tiles.

Can someone please tell me how to fix this Smart Content issue? 

Genesis 8 is basically just genesis 3 in most of the main areas. I personally think the HD morphs should be part of the character now.

The only HD morphs I use are Zev0's vascularity morphs and Aging Morphs; I have Victoria 7HD and have only trird it one time.

I'm confused by today's sale. I thought Victoria 8 was already HD. I thought that was a selling point of Genesis 8. Apparently now we "need" an add-on to make it so? I'm annoyed by that. 

Yea. I'm confused as well.  I thought Victoria 8 was HD already.  Now it has me questioning what I know about HD. What is it exactly?  Is it just an updated mesh with more "resolution" or does it come with updated texture maps as well?

I saw a Victoria 8 HD morph today.  I thought the Genesis 8 meshes were already HD.  I realize I didn't read it in any of the descriptions, but I guess I wrongly assumed this.

U means it's user data, created by you, not vendor data, from the store. Since it's user data it doesn't hook up to a store product that can be downloaded. Presumably either you somehow saved, or triggered a save inadvertently, as a new product - that product now has no files unless you reinstall the original sore product; alternatively it may indicate an error in the metadata, but I'm not then sure how it could have been installed in the first palce.

Head and body morphs installed by DIM show up as user data by default in the Smart Content tab. The thumbnails are greyed out but you can still use them. I never update metadata inside the Studio application since it screwed up my installation twice already (eg. duplicate entries in Smart Content like Victoria 5, missing thumbnails after update, etc.). 

Hi. I wish to export morphs for New Genitalia For Victoria 7 with the model, from Daz 3D to other 3d packages (iclone and 3DS Max). My problem is with the FBX export not showing the NGV7 morphs in morph rules in the export dialogue when setting up the export for the character. Is there another way to export morphs for this feature for the character?

If you are looking for samesex couple poses then I think Aeris on Rendo has the best so  far of the romantic poses. I've bought all of hers and I think they are very good. Her latest one Romance for All is generally pretty good and has poses for both sexes, and straight and gay and lesbian couples, although, I would personally prefer to have just more of the lesbian and gay poses because  I already own so many straight couple sets, that I don't think I can use more of those.

 She has occasional oddness in the posing of some of her characters, but nothing a few adjustments can't fix

Of the poses sold here, FeralFey's sets, several have nice variety and have poses for both gFor standard poses Shimzu, and Muscleman, are usually a good bet.

I do have the issue with the height for romantic poses as well. Owen and Boyd aren't the same height, due to Boyd's being bio-engineered and nearly 6'8' big tall. Owen is not short by any means. But Boyd is just super tall and. I find it tough to portray sometimes as the couples sets are for similar-sized characters. But I have that issue wish Vicky and Mike too, because Victoria is quite tall, and I tend to like her a bit shorter.

I really want to see more poses for Genesis 8 male.... I find the existing poses somewhat limited to modeling and flexing poses which I don't need as much of. There are only so many story reasons artistically I need a character will strike up a modeling pose.

Glad to hear you've fixed the issue with the shoes. Thats an interesting solution, I actually don't' own cross fit so I will have to try it. I thought of you, because I liked the fact that a recent dress I used had separate pumps for each foot, which I really like. I like being able to have a character with one shoe off and one shoe on. I think it would make fitting them easier too. I wish more PA's would separate the shoes like that.

For Genesis 3 female the base model came with different eye color materials (labeled Jeane)

I do not see this for Genesis 8, how do you change the eye color in the default model?

There are eye colors for Elizabeth, Victoria 8, but not the base model?

For Genesis 3 the base model produced nice Iray renders without having to do any lighting or render affects (just with default head lamp),

Genesis 8 is dark/pale/fadded with the default render settings. What is the easiest way to render Genesis 8?

I tried changing the Iray render settings to use Exposer = 13.1, F/stop = 7, File ISO = 140 and this improved the color, but it this the best way?

Conversely Victoria 8 now seems to render nicely with defaults, where as Victoria 7 was dark.

Also if I apply a Genesis 3 pose to Genesis 8 the arms go crazy (bent at odd angles behind their back), and ideas how to fix?

Is there ever going to be a version 9 (and beyond) or has Daz pretty much stopped developing Carraraall together? It would appear they have.

Thanks, @Linwelly.  I get that it isn't for everyone.  I'm not even sure why I like that type of character makeup, but I do.  :)

Thank you, @Algovincian.  It took a little bit to find a shader that was just right for that gem so I'm glad it worked out and someone noticed.  Trying to match her eyes was intentional.  I loved the necklace as soon as I saw it, but it only had 3DL shaders as it's an older necklace for G2F from the Clara Collection.  It fits on G8F pretty well with autofit.  I actually ended up borrowing the shader from a different jewelry set that had a lot of great shader options for its jewelry.  That shader is from Day Dream Cuffs which is an earpiece that's really cute.  I keep meaning to do a piece to show them off, but I haven't quite figured out what I want to do with them yet.  It has a ton of gemstone shaders for Iray in it, though, and is actually worth the price for that alone.  I also used Mec4D's PBS Shaders volume 2 for the metal.  I think everyone should have Mec4D shaders in their arsenal.  I use them all of the time.

In general yes - there's one item, the Anne Marie Goddard Digiital Clone for Victoria 3, that has some extra restrictions but as far as I am aware you can use 2D renders, still or animated, of other items commercially.

I don't know the specifics of Dart, and I'm not a PA.  Despite that, I can report that this is not just a Carrara support issue.  Another Daz PA who made content for Studio also had her store dropped this month.  She had several threads in the Art Studio forum that promoted the use of Daz products.

 

Yeah I saw a thread on that in the Commons, and felt really badly for her, sounded like Daz treated her very unprofessionally, even though she was a big cheerleader for them.  I have no idea what the upside for Daz is in doing this.  "We've got to clear out our inventory to make space for the 2017 models" just sounds ridiculous to me in regards to digital content that they have to keep on file for downloading for anyone who bought the products before they were taken out of the store.  And there's Victoria 1 and 2 stuff still in the store, for pete's sake (I still buy V3/M3 content regularly, just as an aside, so it's not like just because a product is old it's not useful and could theoretically pick up a few new sales in future).

Just noticed the Inagoni store appears to be gone as well.  Good thing I just bought the 'Advance Pack' in the sale (I noted how many people mentioned that Baker is an awesome plugin to have, so I wanted to get it).

Dartenbeck, Inagoni and other PA stores gone?  I wondered why my wishlists were suddenly smaller.  Sure wish that DAZ would at least give us a warning and have a last sale, that would seem to be a win-win approach.  I think Inagoni has his own store out there somewhere.

Thanks, Totte and barbult.  As I mentioned, this one kind of took on a life of its own.  (It was that damn 'Mandy' character for V3, which planted that god-awful, treacly Barry Manilow tune in my head for two whole days, and then a Facebook post by Mark Steyn about that old Bertie Higgins song, Key Largo, with a hurricane tie-in, got that one lodged in my brain for another two days...!  Geez, I'm surprised I'm still sane!  Oh, wait....)

And now for the liner notes.  Three items:
1) Every so often, I need a not-so-subtle reminder of just how much of a pain in the never-mind-precisely-where Victoria 3 was to work with, compared to her more recent incarnations; karma tends to be really diligent and conscientious in that regard.  Apparently, this pull was one of those reminders;

2) I may have played a bit "fast-and-loose" with the Steakhouse Environment: I used just enough furniture to make it identifiable, and one of the server poses; I also threw in the Steakhouse Server outfit (it was, after all, part of the bundle).  I just hope it's a pardonable sin;

3) And finally, I am always reluctant to play the "mawkish sentimentality" card in my RRRR renders (I've only done it once before, as I recall), but this one just didn't seem to want to go in any other direction.  So I let it.  I certainly don't expect it to get any votes for 'Funniest'.  (And if it does, well..., you people are just..., sick!)

Those lovely morphing eyebrows are only for G8F and I would love to use them on G8M.  Of course, I would purchase morphs for G8M's eyebrows if someone is willing to make them.

There will be a male Super Natural Brows along soon, with more masculine styles. 

As to the wear them all, I don't know if that's in the works, but in the meantime, you could make your own V4/M4 clones. If you have them for Genesis 3, I expect you could transfer them using Singular Blues morph transfer script.
