Is there anyone not owning Michael 4 and Victoria 4.2? They are free together with a Debut new release purchase!

I had to wonder that myself.  I mean, didn't these come with every version of Daz Studio?  Maybe I've just forgotten.

Both Micheal 4 and Victoria 4 were given away as freebies multiple times already either as a standalone or with their bundles.

I was sure that Victoria 4.2 and Michael 4.0 were included in the basic Daz Studio bundle when I first downloaded.  I thought that they were considered to be Base figures...like Genesis, G2, G3, G8.  Maybe that's not the case anymore now that we're up to G8.

No, M4 and V4 were not included in DS base content. At some point there was a "limited edition" of V4 included, but I don't remember any version of M4. However they've been available for free in the store for a long time, so a good number of people probably got them that way.

But there are certainly recent users who don't have them.

Wish I had grabbed the digitigrade legs before the creator pulled them from Rendo. Maybe I'll finally try creating a Genesis head graft and use the Michael 4 Creature Creator legs.

As an option to the CC legs, there's also the HFS creature morph sets. Versions for M/F and G3 and G8. Much beefier than in the old Jenelson Kasa set for A3 (a very nice character, but those skinny geometry-swapped legs need a good bit of tweaking).

She and her "spin off" mesh, "Melody" are still my favorite models, so I'm always interested in anything made for them.

Seconded — I still use Melody and Micah (the Hiro3-based male critter figure) as much as I do any of the later Genesis figures. There's still nothing to beat them for the sheer range of different critter morphs and texture sets.

My question is about the anatomy 4 pro bundle for Michael 4 and Victoria 4. What I want to do is animate Michael 4 performing an exercise, then after a few repetitions, I want to highlight the targeted muscle/muscles. I just want that specific muscle to be visible after about 10 frames, not the whole muscle map (which I know can be done by playing with the opacity slider). I couldn't find any straightforward way to do that and I really don't want to go through the long process of manually hiding muscles in the scene tab. Am I missing something or is that a dead end?

1. The various Genesis figurs come with "AutoFit" clones, allowing you to convert (with the loss of any custom bones) older clothing for the new figure - you can AutoFit Victoria or Michael 4 clothing to Genesis, then Auto Fit that to either Genesis 2 or Genesis 8 (there are also add-ons in the store to skip the Genesis stage). Moprhs can also be cnverted, using the Transfer Utility - there's a long thread on the geenral method, though it's mainly about Genesis 3 to Genesis 8. Victoria 4 and Michael 4 maps work on Genesis, using them on later figures requires add-on products.

2. Iray renders do not have a fixed progression the way 3delight does (and 3Delight iss till there - select it in the Editor or Advanced tab of the Render Settings pane), they look to see if the pixels are sufficiently "converged" (have stopped chnaging with each pass). An enclosed scene will usually have less light available, and will rely much more on light rays bouncing around to reach recesses and corners - that slows the convergence process down. More lights to help fill in shadow areas will help.

In Daz Connect Install pane I see Michael 4 Creature Creator Morphs gray with the "book" icon. This is something I installed with DIM once and uninstalled with DIM. I'm pretty sure I never did any metadata customization for this product. This product doesn't even have a Daz Connect installer, because it is a Michael 4 product. The product page shows install types Install Manager and Manual. Why does this product show up in the Daz Connect Install pane at all??????

"Reflections Of Light"

Hello!  I am still a relative newbie.  I bought these tribal clothes:

And, they don't seem to work like usual clothes.  And, when i try and put them on my Genesis 8 Male it gets even crazier.  I looked at some SickleYeild videos and such, and I saw a thread saying that for Michael 4 clothes to put them on a Genesis, then gen 2, 3, and then 8 in that order and they would work, but that has not worked either.  Obviously, Michael 3 is not the Genesis 3 male because I never had this issue with those clothes before.  Thanks in advance!

Hi! I need to work with Hiro 4 again in Poser after some years I didn't use him. I downloaded from my Daz Library and installed manually in Poser Pro 2014, but when I loaded him, I noticed some problems with his eyes because they are too small for the big head of Hiro, like I show in the attached picture.

Plus, I remember when I loaded Hiro, he was thin and now, Poser loads him like same body type like Michael 4.

How can I solve the eyes problem and make the body thin again? Btw, I tried it in Daz and I have the same results.

It seems that the background color (for the search bar) and the font color used for category orgaizing (i.e. on the "Michael 4", "General", "Transforms", and "Display") are all using the same color....which makes it hard to read sometimes.

I tried going through the custom styles and with them being the same attribute ("04. Light Color") it seems there's no way to change one without impacting the other.  This doesn't work since I want to make the font lighter but that kills the search bar.

Is there something I'm missing on how to tweak one without impacting the other?

Can we get fonts separated out from other colors going forward?

This is my first pass at a character design for an upcoming comic book project (yes, I'm still technically working on a different comic and I really do hate trying to juggle two projects at once). This comic is actually written by someone else and it is a sequel, which means I need to have the character approved by the author and it needs to sort of fit the appearance of the character that was established in part one. Fortunately, I don't have to duplicate that style.

The figure is Michael 4 with both the Elite and Morphs++ loaded. His body is Adonis: 1 and ChestSize: 0.33. I'm also using the wonderful M4 Face Morphs Vol. 5 (I used Rick at 0.75) for the face. As a first pass, it's not too bad. I do think the nose is too big and I want the chin to be a little stronger. I've already started on an updated design and I should have something to show for it soon.

The usual production process applies: Poser renders cleaned up in Photoshop and composited in Manga Studio 5 EX (aka Clip Studio Paint).

The G3F version is at Rendo.

You will need to convert the pz2 to DS material presets.

For morphs, GenX2 with both G2 and G3 add-ons will enable to convert them from V4 to G3F. Unfortunately the creator passed away so there’s no G8 add-on.

For clothes, you will need a V4 clone for your target figure to use autofit.

Richard, I did not know that. But that aside, the same thing happens even with Genesis 1 and Michael 4. But those were just test to see if the double bone problem that I was having with my figure was isolated to my figure or not -  it wasn’t. So I have to do more research to see how to overcome this with my figure so I can continue adjusting the bones to be more inline with its limbs.

Is there any way to lock my M4 Male figure from the hip down in DAZ Studio 4.10 Pro so I can add an animated pose such as clapping hands? I know there are bodylocks available for Poser but there are not any for Michael 4! Cheers
