Some of the reasons I use AI to enhance my Daz Studio renders:
I use AI with renders because I hate waiting. I render my scene in the pose I want and ComfyUI and Qwen Image Edit {Locally} lets me relight and change my scene however I want. I don't trust AI to place people in the position I want them in and the truth is OpenGL or Filament is enough to get me the renders I want. I create the content, AI relights and changes the lighting and skin and clothes and I can add thing and remove things with no problem.
What is the future of DAZ Studio?I use ComfyUI and the free local AI with my renders. I do not use tokens and can render stuff in filament with bad lighting and bad details and still get photo realistic images out of ComfyUI with Image to Image local manipulation. If you don't know what I am talking about take a look on Youtube. Look up ComfyUI and Local free image manipulation and relighting. I mostly use Qwen Image edit workflows.
Daz Studio 6.25[.0.x], General Release!Yesterday I downloaded Daz Studio 6 and, to my surprise, the figure does not display properly in the Texture Shaded, Universal, Solid, Lit Wireframe, and Smooth Shaded view modes. The figure is only visible when using Filament and NVIDIA Iray.
My system has an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor, and I am using driver version 26.6.1. In Daz Studio 4.24, all of these view modes work perfectly, so the issue appears to be related to the new version.
Another thing I noticed, as shown in the attached image, is that the small figure/silhouette displayed next to the View panel seems to be incorrectly configured or displayed.
Are there other users experiencing this problem? Is there a known solution, or is a fix expected in a future update?
Thank you.

Ya know what, bleep it. It seems the biggest feature of 6 is some sort of AI and I have zero interest in AI of any kind so I'm just going to uninstal Studio 6 and continue using Studio 4 which works and has the Premier plugins available. Thanks for your help, though. I appreciate the effort.
Not sure why you don’t have them in DIM, maybe check your download filters.
For the record there's another new feature in DS6 for Mac users: Filament has now been integrated. So if you're interested in Filament or Filatoon you might want to keep it installed.Understand your confusion. The simple answer is that I'm on a Mac. Were I using Windows, it probably wouldn't be and issue. I download stuff routinely without issue. There's nothing wrong with my filters or whatever. The plugins are simply not there for me to download. At all. As ususal as far as Daz is concerned, Mac users have been and always will be second class citizens. After 15 years of this, I've gotten used to it.

definitely another reason I won't bother with it of which there are many
its good for Mac users who want Filament and people with 5### cards
but really just a render node for D|S4 saved scenes with some laggy UI features tossed in
What actually IS new in DAZ Studio 6?What's new for the Mac from D|S 4.x.x:
1. Filament/Filatoon rendering.2. Ability to load audio files into DAZ Studio.
3. Ability to hear the loaded audio files to help with timing and lip sync.
4. Ability to export a .mov file that then opens inside a video editing program as a complete, single, muxed file.
NOTE: The .mov file exported from DAZ Studio is a container file that links to the individual, rendered frames in the Temp folder and the audio file. When opened in iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Da Vincie Resolve, etc. it brings those linked files into the editing software as a single, muxed file. If you also want the individually-rendered frames you can move them from the Temp folder to your chosen folder, otherwise they will be overwritten the next time you render an animation. For me, at least, these are huge things to make animation very, very much easier; now, if they'd include MImic for lipsynching (or something as good, built-in) I'd be super happy.
Looking forward to a Mac-native version.

I'm not going to read five pages of comments to find out if anyone else has this issue (I'm sorry, just don't have the time right now). But I just installed Daz Studio 6 and Iray Preview doesn't work at all. The character stays gray (it has textures and you can see the textures in other previews like texture shaded and Filament), it's a Genesis 9 character. Iray preview doesn't work at all. I have a 5070 Ti if that helps. It also doesn't load the Environment and Tone mapping nodes when I switch to Iray preview (other versions of Daz Studio have always loaded those automatically as soon as I switch to Iray Preview. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
EDIT: I found the issue. I had the Strand-Based Hair Editor Tool selected /doh! Apparently, if you have that selected, then Iray Preview is disabled. Once I switched back to the Universal Tool Iray Preview works again.
Jeeeezzzz!! Same here!!
I already reinstalled the gpu driver, reinstalled DAZ and made a support ticket! xDDD
That's a crazy one. Thanks for your post....

What driver are you using? Perhaps because it needs to work with raw geometry, not the interpolated curves in Iray (though I wasn't aware of this particular limitation).

Is your GPU listed in Render Settings - Hardware? Drivers up to date?
Thank you for trying to help me, it was user error - I had the Strand-based hair editor tool selected and didn't realize that's why Iray Preview wasn't working. As soon as I switched to the Universal Tool I was able to get Iray Preview to work again.

A general release? And is this "windows only"?
No, Mac as well.
And contrary to DS4, the Mac version of DS6 includes Filament.

Filament engine is now available for Mac too, beside that I don't know.
What actually IS new in DAZ Studio 6?Yeah I would like to know if there any improvements to animation or any improvements to the Filament engine. I will probably just stay with DS 4.24 until that happens. I really don't want the Victoria AI component at all. Not sure why they felt the need to include that since AI is so divisive, so they are instantly going to piss off at least half of the user base for an unecessary gimmick.

Allora, come faccio a non usare Iray, se il maledetto DAZ 4,25 usa solo Iray?
Usi 4.24 pre-dicembre come faccio io.
