Merging Surfaces?
Basically a figure is just a long list of vertices and their coordinate values.
When one makes a morph, the morph has the same list of vertices together with information, where each of those vertices should move (deltas)If the list of vertices for the morph doesn't match the list of vertices on the figure (both the number and order of vertices), the morph doesn't work.
Custom character from BlenderHello,
I'm not too sure about the process. If I have a custom character (based on a "dev load") modified in Blender, how do I create the "link" between my new shape and the default shape? On the default character, areas with the sliders are already existing, how to avoid a conflict?
If i'm not mistaken, the new shape need to be a morph (shape keys) in Blender?

Hey guy,
Is there any way to convert G81. to G8? I am trying to export obj but when importing to morph loader I got warning geometry not match and it fail
Make sure the character mesh resolution is set to base, and delete any eye lashes, eye brows etc before exporting.
8.0 and 8.1 are the same mesh (only for the same gender of course), you should be able to import then use the morph loader. If you do use this method, you will lose any jcm corrections for that morph, so it is not the best way to go from 8.1 to 8.0, however the alternatives can be quite advanced, as you would likley need to edit the dsf files, which is non-trivial.
Ok I will try it now. Thank you for help guys
And btw what I should uncheck in the popup window when I export? Leave it default for Daz?
I normally export to Daz format, but in reality for morph loading all that matters is that you re-import with the same settings as you exported with.
Diffeomorphic DAZ Importer version 1.6.0 releasedJust a short question: Will there be a version 1.7.0 officially released, or do we need to work with the developer versions in future?
I love Diffeomorphic, which is a great tool for my complex workflow to create photorealistic native characters in Blender based on imported Daz figures and assets. I started refining my workflow and wondered, how Diffeomorphic will progress.
My actual workflow plans include baking HD details to Displacement maps and create a morph and pose library in Blender based on Daz assets. The textures will be refined and the shaders enhanced. I try to build a Blender library for these assets. Unfortunately I'm slowly progressing as I have a limited time budget at the moment. I'm also focused on stills and no animations, so repairing poke-throughs and other mesh changes can be made easily in Edit mode. Still need a new PC, as my current one is more than 5 years old.
My freebiesI do one or two freebie items at Rendo, but what I do is to do a complete new upload here when the .zip is under 5Mb. I usually attach the .png version of the promo image and also the zip file to a new thread started for the item. I tend to go into more detail here in the description, as there's no 1000 character limit, and occasionally use more images to show how things work (like with my Pose Transfer scripts).
If the zip file is more than 5Mb it won't attach to a post here, and I either don't mention the Rendo freebie here or I link to my Freestuff page. More often, I don't mention it here. I've been a member at Rendo for a couple of years longer than here, and Rendo tends to be seen by more people, so if there is a possible hint difficulty here, I don't post here.
There are other freebie makers who just link to ShareCG or Google Drive from here, even though the freebie is also on Rendo.
Regards,
Richard

Attach a screenshot of the dialoque, not at home with DS atm.

Rest In Peace PhilCHe was kind enough to create a Wardrobe Wizard character/morph for me that I dearly needed, back in version 1 and I had to force him to accept any payment. My world's a little sadder without him.

you could use map transfer on genesis 1 which has the UVs for V4 and M4 then use that with the legacy UVs for G8M
Thanks a lot, I was not aware of map transfer as a function, this totally worked!

Fitting Victoria 4 materials on G8MYou would need legacy UVs for Genesis 8 Male, the female versions won't transfer across. Or you could try making Gensis 8 Female match the male character
[Mature Content] Dicktator morphs no longer exporting over Daz to Unity bridge.Previously I was working on a project on the Unity game engine, an adult project, where I use the dicktator asset.
In the project I had managed to export many characters with all of their 'blend shapes' for the Dicktator morph to Unity successfully.
I since took a break from the project and went to get started again, it seems that whenever I try to re-import these old models even with all of the correct blend targets/morphs selected in the export options the Dicktator morphs/blend shapes are not exported to Unity. What am I doing differently that is causing these to new longer be exported? I remember I had trouble way back getting Daz3D to export the 'blend shapes' for the Dicktator morphs in the past but I had solved it. Now I can't seem to be able to figure it out anymore and anytime I re-import a modified model it breaks the previous work because these 'blend shapes' get removed.
If anyone can help me solve this, or link me to a forum post that discusses it (I remember finding one previously that explained how to solve it, I vaguely recall it requiring me to use the 'Export' option instead of the bridge and a certain FBX version but I cannot recall) I would greatly appreciate it and could even throw in some frree useful Unity asset(s) for any other Unity developer who can help me solve this.

G3 HD morphs won't transfer to G8. Rebaking textures from G3 Daz Originals core characters to standard G3.G8 UVs will be necessary because of their use of custom unwraps.
Aside of not being able to transfer G3 HD morphs and extra work with map transfer, moving a character from G3 to G8 is very straightforward.
This solves the G3M Core Figure UV problem. From the Details: "This product contains re-mapped UVs for all 13 of the Daz Original '7' figures that use unique UV maps, allowing your Genesis 8 Male to wear those skins and have them fit perfectly. Simply apply the materials and makeup options to Genesis 8 Male as you would to Genesis 3 Male."

Genesis 9 to Character Creator 4Probably. but the transform tool made one thing great. It converted the character to a CC character. therefore you could make the character shape as a morph, or apply CC morphs to it. or auto comfort the clothes to the character. Can you do the same with AccuRig?
Dial Fusion for Genesis 2 to 8.1 (Commercial)it isn't immune to that eternal problem of morph dials refusing to show up when you load a test figure. It's almost random. I've got details that show when you load the head and body separately but won't show when you load the main head and body controller. I've tried baking and redoing an ERC freeze and can't fix these errors. It's a pity it doesn't eliminate daisy chains too. I also have a big problem with it refusing to delete dials it created, it tells me it can't delete dials it didn't create when I just created them using DF without any alteration at all. I get it won't save dials that have been saved in the wrong place by whatever creator it was that made them. I have a big list of dials that it's totally ignoring for no reason though.
You really need to make sure you've got a raw back up of a figure before you create dials for it.
Foot \HandUnlike G8.XF, there're only few of hands/ feet morphs and zero nail morph in G9 Essentials... you have to buy characters / shape products, etc...
