Haven't tried it myself, but remember, one person's success is another person's failure on these forums. It seems to follow no pattern.

You stated in that that it takes you computer hours to render a single G9 despite having a 3060. You may want to open a thread in the tech support forum here and start trouble shooting with people as to what may be the cause. I realize everyone has different critieria for rendering but its worth a shot. I have a dual 980TI setup and can render up close and at a distance, one or multiple G9s in 30min to an hour depending on the scene. I am limited by vram so i try to skirt around texture issues and I dont have textures compressed by Iray at all, not even the 8K ones
I cranked up SubDivision to get rounded nipples instead of flesh pyramids on G9.
And I always render on quality 10 with max iterations set to 15,000 or more.

What do you mean? There's nothing hidden in the DAZ+ forum that I can see. Unless I'm blind.
Right now nobody can upload images to the forum, because it is broken. So nobody can post their renders here..
Pretty sure this is continuing on from another comment, it's a complaint that there may be a thread in the DAZ+ forums with a lot of people showing renders of the horse that aren't also posting them here. Whether this other thread exists or not I don't know.

I cannot even see renders by those who have as hidden in DAZ+ forum
I generally buy a single item from bundles if I want it (might have bought the sleigh) but they even stopped that
no incentive at all maybe can grab it cheap in 6 months time
GPU Question - RTX 3060rlewisfr said:
Sorry, just wanted to add a comment on the 3060ti in PCI-E slot 1.
I did NOT try the 3060 12gb in the slot 1 (too much hassle), but the implication is that the 3060ti has a constant load (background Windows, etc.) and a constant high load when under the 8gb VRAM budget. This may be an issue with long term wear and tear, but the speed of the 3060ti is hard to give up as the leader GPU.
I wouldn't worry too much about it. I can't offer you hard statistics, but based on my experience (with a GTX 460 and GTX 770), and lots of forum posts here, your card will probably be dropped from CUDA support long before it actually stops working.
To be honest, when I had that 460, I was using my computer for World Community Grid, a distributed computing project, so it ran for about 2 and a half years continuously, except for power outages. I'd say pretty much any name brand GPU nowadays will survive to outlive its usefulness.
Let's appreciate/discuss today's new releases - ongoing threadyeah too much disparity in non DAZ+ pricing for me to even consider it even though a lovely person gave me a gift certificate the other day

often the differences are reasonable but not $50 difference

everything is aimed at DAZ+ members only here now even the thread about it is hidden in their forum
the plus is my spending total I used to see with DAZ-Deals when I had it enabled has barely increased since I didn't renew almost a year ago

it has stayed at 25K USD which in itself is shocking but over 14 years not really
Missing files looking for G8F in G3F folderI was going to attach an image showing the issue, but the forum software is buggered (yet again).
Inside each morph DSF file there is a pathway that points to the Parent mesh that the morph is meant to work with, the pathway in these files are pointing to the Genesis 3 folder instead of the Genesis 8 folder.
"parent" : "/data/DAZ 3D/Genesis 3/Female/Genesis8Female.dsf#Genesis8Female",
^^^^ That is what line 18 looks like in these files.
"parent" : "/data/Daz%203D/Genesis%208/Female/Genesis8Female.dsf#geometry",
^^^^ That is how they should look
The big problem is that these characters aren't done very well, as they are also missing rigging adjustments, that means facial pose controls like Eyes Closed wont work very well.

This time it might be intentional, looks like they are most or all part of the bundle, and won't be available outside of the bundle? Confusing to see them listed out on the sales page though if that's deliberate.
I'm the only one who won't buy products which's details I can't see in the shop? Special Snowflake Me again mayhaps?

You can see a lot of pictures in the sleigh bundle thread, and yes, the products really are there and downloadable. I've got them, and other people are rendering them already. So, no need to be distrustful this time, methinks ;-) Happy holidays!
let me guess, that thread is in the DAZ+ forum and probably anything about the new horse too

is OK I mustn't spend money anyway
Perception check on G9 form definitionHere in the Nordics even 5'8" is tall for a female, the average is 5'5". Globally, it's 5'2". Men are also on the whole significantly shorter than Daz portrays. Even Vikings, who people believe to have been giants among people, were a shade taller than the average height - the average height of all known, excavated Vikings was 5'8", which believe it or not was significantly tall at the time. If you want people who average at Daz height, you're looking at the Dutch. (though I can relate to RichardandTracy - at 6'1" I am the second-shortest man in four generations of my family, even my sisters are like human watchtowers. That said, real-life perception means I have a muscle memory for mixing heights in poses as I have yet to see eye-to-eye with a woman outside my family)
As for scaling props, yes, real-world is how to go. That 8ft Measuring Stick freebie found elsewhere in this forum is a prop I have set to auto-load with every new scene because it's insignificant in terms of surface and memory, a perfect way to instantly scale anything I load, and a visible anchor for the center point of the scene as I move the environment around; I use it religiously. If you make your characters and props true-to-life size, the only thing that could possibly make them look awkward is between the computer and the chair.
Forum error when uploading file: Failed to write file to diskUploads have been failing off and on for a few days now. Sometimes they work; sometimes they don't. Just like forum notifications will not work for several hours and then they work again, only to fail again for several hours later.
Forum error when uploading file: Failed to write file to diskI'm getting a "Failed to write file to disk" error when trying to upload a png file. Tried again, same error. I uploaded the same file yesterday in another thread without any problems.
Tried with another png but that worked OK.
Just tried again but this time it just keeps saying "Uploading..." without any error message.

It's now been 1 HOUR and G8 is still loading! I disconnected from the internet and am no longer getting the Migration Failed notice but it seems to be taking even longer! The other folder only has G9 stuff, should that make it slower?
!
Well, the time to load will be massively dependant on hardware and number of morphs aswell as how many clashes and other errors you might have but that seems way too excessive. I don't have the logs from when I still had my own issues anymore to get the exact times but I would still put it at below 10 minutes - this is with almost 13.5K Total Morphs according to Turbo Loader. Now that I cleaned up all the duplicate formulas I have just timed the load to 1m 39s.
For that amount of time I would suspect you are either hitting a massive load of clashes/duplicates or Daz Studio has just given up at that point.
While DS is still busy you can still view the log file by opening it directly. It should be in the C:/Users/USERNAME/AppData/Roaming/DAZ 3D/Studio4/log.txt. If you can open that file and scroll to the bottom you can see what it's currently upto.

That is indeed ridiculous. Hopefully the log.txt file will be very illuminating and provide some answers. If you can attach that (if the forum will let you attach an upload today) then I (and hopefully some smarter users too) can take a look at it and give you some pointers.
EDIT 2:
Although for me it's 11pm so I might not be able to have a look at it till the morning.
I just got home and checked and somehow DS had added a whole bunch of directories from my C drive that I had never put there! Directories from One Drive, a bunch from users. There were several hundred duplicate formulas! I removed those within DS and will remove everything from my C drive. Hopefully this will fix things.

So I decided to work with evee rather than cycles. I have RTX 3090 but even with that my cycle animations tooks 1 frame 40 second to render. Roughly if I want to render 200 frame animations it tooks nearly 2 hours. Evee looks fine with adjustments but I have some problem with eye tears. Does anyone know how can I fix that smoky eye tear look? I don't want to delete eye tear because it looks weird.
Couldnt upload image directly idk why but here is a image link about my issue.
Did you search for a tutorial? There is a lot you can do to speed up Cycles. I'd investigate these techniques before switching.
I dont know really. Yeah but most of things you do to speed up cycles is makes you lose quality. So if I will lose quality what is the point? Also looks like evee is problematic too.. I do limit textures btw to 4k but even that makes me angry.. Maybe I should get 2 more 3090 to render faster but Im not that rich. Idk what to do Im bit overwhelmed about that. And yes probably I know all techniq to lower timing but if you have something magical, I would like to know.

G9 renders just fine on my system. I know a 3090 is bigger than a 3060 in terms of VRAM, but speed-wise it should be similar so yeah...I'd say there is something else going on.
I know a lot of folks are vocally upset that G9 is shorter...that G9 doesn't have different heights depending on male/female...that G9 is a unimesh. Well..I'm happy about these things. I think having a universal mesh and universal height is wonderful...because it will make things much easier to customize and move between male/female. When figures are all the same height by default, it makes fitting objects much, much easier. I'm also super stoked that it will be easier to get armor made for male figures working on my female characters...whereas with G8, it was almost always an exercise in futility.

I know you're frustrated, as the tech support department is quite small for a company dealing with millions of customers.
As you can see, posting to the forum with a problem usually results in much swifter response, especially from many people all wanting to help if they can.
I would suggest posting your issue to the Mac-specific forum; Totte in particuar is very knowledgable and incrediby helpful:
