G9 females all look depressed
Maybe Joe Quick could do a Joker morph for G9 ?
ulimate shapes like product for G9I would really like to recreate some alien characters I made for G8 on G9. I liked the leg morphs that made the legs look animal like and the foot morph with the big toe on the upper side of the foot.

I have been using the PA sale to get the remaining Glamerous Vicky stuff I haven't got at a price I can at last afford.
I've been trying to use Poser Dynamic fabric. It was quite hard to get it to work. In the end I had to convert GV3 to Triax Weight mapping, export the dress as an obj, import, make into a figure & transfer the rigging before then simulating from the default pose. Due to the size of the facets around the neck it exploded every time I tried until I realised scaling the character to 500% would give the required clearances. It was a lot more long winded than I had expected. However.. The result doesn't look much like I have resurrected a 20yo character.

Richard
Nice!

I might play around a bit with postwork. To make it look like a page of a magazine article..
However, i am not sure yet. I really should do other things than playing with renders.
And then there are a few little details i would like to fix.
I know this contest is not about the best render, but about story telling and the like.
Its more about myself, knowing about these little things.. wanting to do it properly.
But these renders always take several hours, blocking my system almost entirely.
Really wish i would have a decent backup system for renders.
anyways.... this derived far from my initial idea and one might consider the nutcracker suit on Stefon as kinda cheating..
But when i put it on, i thought it would retain the face shape. and it removed the head somehow..
Decided to fix this towards the end.
However, I liked it that much, i couldn`t let go of it.
___________
i would appreciate if people could tell me, how the picture shows on their screen.
On my secondary monitor i think its very bright - almost daylight. On my working monitor it is evening room light.
I don´t know which monitor is (most) falsly calibrated and therefore have to aim for the middleground.
DAZ and MyFavorite Artists GenorosityThe sales this year were amazing. I bought a lot and hope that I can use it soon.
I also liked that some older stuff was not only available in Daz format but Blender and C4D as well. I really like it, when I do not have to transfer them myself.
Trouble with GenX 2 / Help with ReturningToday I got the Genesis Generation X2 and it doesn't seem to do what I need it to do.
I want to specify that on the product page (https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2) is says: "Genesis Generation X2 (short GenX2 or just GenX) transfers morphs from legacy Poser figures to Genesis figures and between different versions of Genesis" AND "The new version has a large number of new features and improvements. It is now also possible to transfer morphs between different versions of Genesis."
But, I can't seem to do it. I'm trying to transfer morphs from Genesis 1 to Genesis 3. However, in the Target menu, *only* Genesis itself is listed. Why isn't Genesis 3 showing up?
Also, please (I hope!) don't tell me I have to buy the add-ons to do this. The description for this specific product says "transfer morphs between different versions of Genesis". If it can't do that without me buying other things (because the Generation 3 says you need Generation 2 as well to make it work...no thanks, I don't need that either >_> ) , then the description is misleading at best and and I rather just return it. But if I'm just missing something obvious I really hope that that is the case (without having to spend more money).
XTransfer Module 1- Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 Morph Converter (Commercial)...one more silly question, will it transfer Shape Shift morphs for G3 to G8?
Commission request for true-life modelI'm looking to commission a model based on old(ish) photos, but I'm honestly not sure how much that kind of thing goes for or if I can even afford it. The photos don't have the proper angles, facial expressions, or lighting to use any kind of proper face gen or face transfer-type tool, it would very likely need to be hand sculpted. I've managed to get part of the way there with morph dials, but I don't have the sculpting chops to finish it in Blender or whatever, not to mention paint any real textures. Happy to share pictures privately.

If I could give positive suggestions, it's to increase the intensity of the lighting, first on the blue key light and the rimlight from the opposite side. Maybe it's my monitor -- the HSV settings may be different from yours, and so I see a dim scene. But in any case I think adjusted the light brightness improves the contrast and helps separate the main subject from the background.
Gensis 9, right? There's an interesting thread about the sullen look to this figure.
I find it amusing and thought of referring it to you.Cheers!

So I've been buying way more than rendering this month! I have a ton of WIP, but added this one to my gallery tonight so thought I'd add to the thread here since it uses a golden ticket item as well as some items on my wishlist that I recently purchased.

Gotta say that I loved the dForce Highlands Gown Outfit once I saw it, but you can actually get this look with one of the manual morphs in Natural Movements Pack for Genesis 9 (using Breast Flatten morph). I used a combination of the dress and movements morphs along with G9 small breasts on P3D Mia HD for Genesis 9 to create this image. I'm using one of the poses with the dress + a few teaks to the smile. I might try and paint her using acrylics for fun. :D

Developer Update: No more retargetting rigs!
DTL converted figures are now 100% compatible with the Unreal Engine MannyQuinn skeleton
I'm working on the release version of DTL. I've just finished the new skeleton conversion process and it's come out perfectly. There will no longer be a need to retarget imported Daz figures in Unreal Engine because the DTL skeleton is now an exact, 100% compatibility match with Unreal's MannyQuinn skeleton. This will save developers huge amounts of time and hassle whilst eliminating all the minor inconsistencies that are impossible to eliminate completly when retargetting animations and animation blueprints between differing skeletal meshes in Unreal Engine.
In the movie above you can see a converted Daz figure being imported into a standard Unreal Engine 3rd person demo project. The standard MannyQuinn figure is swapped out for the DTL converted figure and it just works - no retargetting rig is required. There is no extra work and no loss of animation fidelity.
Two more features need to be added before release; Genesis 9 support and morph driven joint transforms. Both of these features have already been implemented as proof of concept.
I am aiming to get the first non-beta release of DTL up for sale on the Daz Marketplace by the end of the year.
Shut up and take my money
Is it possible to wear Genesis 9 cap backward?Cool ~~ SBH is Strand-based Hair generated by line tessellation. I attached the duf file with setting on the timeline. You may check Cap and 'dForce Pitt Bull Hair' node at Frame 0 and 30. Set them up in your scene and test. The trick is : 1st dial a morph on the hair node - Comb Neat. After simulation, increase the cap's scale a bit or dial 'body_bs_ExpandAll' on it with a tiny value, if there's poke-thru.

Thank you, Bunyip. The 'change morph location' tip is especially enlightening for me. Might come in handy for other issues as well. I bought Alberto's plugin but have not tried it yet.
Don't know exactly what is going wrong with the Morphs, maybe Gremlins are playing up ? Changing the morph location worked for the one's misbehaving.

As for Method B, you probably shouldn't have to change the morph location from "Morph" to "Actor". Morph is accebtable. We just have to remember to Save As > Figure/Prop Asset > Morph Asset
Hello Dart
With the Burrogen morphs, the "Morphs" location was working in Carrara.
With the Uhrag morphs, the "Morphs" location was not working in Carrara, it was only when I changed it to "Actor" that it was working in Carrara. Why ? That has got me stumped !!!
Render your buys! Use buys from the current month and the previous month of salesLike Daveso, I've been getting some older stuff I've had my eye on for a while. The image below was testing some V3 boots and using a Poser Dynamic Cloth dress in DS. In the end I converted the figure to Triax Weight Mapping, exported the dress as an obj, imported it, converted to a figure, used the transfer utility to get the rigging done, simulated it at 5x scale to avoid explosions, and eventually got the image below:

G9 females all look depressedYou guys have to tweak both partial head morph and expressions with pose control dials, as well as the shape of their teeth, 'cause they look not good and nearly all the same... Easy Teeth or sculpt.
MimicMolly's Renders & WIPsSince I can't render, I will roughly explain how I made this new head morph. I used Face Gen (to G8F) and a combination of Blender. I had previously made a G9 bodysuit in the shape of G8F, so I applied this bodysuit and dialed in the Face Gen head. Then, I sent this to Blender to refine. (I don't know if there's been an update for Face Gen to work with G9. So in the meantime, I use this crude method.) Then, I imported my .OBJ and made a head morph. Still rigged it with the non-G9 Shape Rigger Plus, that I haven't updated and won't. (Apparently, it no longer works with G9. So you would have to buy the new version which supposedly does more.)
As for the skin, I had used Map Transfer to transfer the G9 Clara face skin as a G8F UV material. Then, I used Map Transfer again to make the result back into G9. Afterwards, I was just carefully painting it over and doing color corrections with GIMP to match the original G9 skin. I did this for both the Diffuse and SS texture. Since this is for my own personal use, my method is sufficient. Interestingly, my eyebrows almost match with the default load of the Card Eyebrows. For my self-insert's eyes, I used JP Sandor HD's brown eyes. They are not LIE, which is what I wanted, plus the color was close to mine, so that's good.
(Seriously, I want to transfer this exact head shape backwards, just so I don't have to deal with Autofit and other conversion issues.)
EDIT: Oh yeah, another reason I haven't been posting is because these forums are screwing up pics. So I'll have to go back and fix things.
