Headshop 11 Problems
Customer reached out to us, stating that he had other photos work OK. Here's the photo in question that did not work (see attached). We could not make it work, either.
The manual does have a few sentence about this in Troubleshooting: "In general, be prepared that NOT all photos will work equally well. Due to the sophisticated Autodots system in HeadShop which automatically finds features on a face, some variations on a photo can trick the system".
Headshop 11 ProblemsI picked HeadShop 11 this morning. Tried something quick & simple and had no issues.
Later on, I tried what i thought would be an easy image for it to use and kept getting the message that it couldn't find any faces.
Forum isn't letting me attach an image. It's a tight straight on shot, but the subject is wearing a scarf.
Couldn't find anything in the PDF on this however. I'll try contacting directly but was hioping to see some other user input.
Headshop OneClick v 11It states that the hair features are not present. One thing that gets overlooked about Headshop is that is has Hairshop included with it. It is no big loss, though. I'm not sure what other features would be different. One thing that was different about the previous One Click was that you could not move any dots manually on the face, which you can in Headshop. It is quite literally "one click". In HS11 it will populate the shaping dots automatically like One Click, but you have the option of manually moving the dots yourself. However, I didn't have great results moving dots manually. I found it generally was best to just let HS11 do its thing. So in that respect, you may not even really want that manual feature anyway. But there are other questions. Can you choose what texture maps to use? And a big one, is the weird deformation around the head fixed? This issue happens in HS11 when the photo model is not smiling. Oddly enough when model smiles the issue is not present. There is an update in the works that is supposed to fix this, so I want to know if that is coming, and if One Click contains the fix. I have been waiting for this fix to release before making any more HS11 projects.Headshop 2Any plans for a Mac version of Headshop 2?
Headshop OneClick v 11Another version of Headshop. Having been bitten somewhat by this over several versions, I hung back for Headshop 11 to see if it worked. Anyone any thoughts on the newest version now in store?
Headshop 11 ProblemsI am having huge problems with Headshop too, I have tried Gen, 2,3 and 8 and they all do the same thing. When I go to the second step and try to adjust the sliders, the whole had just gets all out if whack and it won't adjust back. Also 90% of my pics that I try to load say facial recognition did not recognize a face and when I try to export it onto the figure, it just keeps spinning and saying working. I left it for 20 minutes and it still was spinning and trying to load onto the figure! I have Windows 10 and so far this is the worst program I have ever bought, I can't do anything with it at all, but the first step abd I can't even adjust the autodots, when I select and try to move them to adjust thrm, they won't even move or lasso.Have you tried to email Abalone tech support at [email protected] before declaring it the worst program? Sounds like an installation mishap...We can help to fix it.
Headshop 11 QuestionsWe discovered this issue with the non-smiling heads. It is a bug but hard to find. The models made from open-smile photos don't have this problem.
What is happening is that the entire head is moving down as the morph is dialed up. So there is a bone that is being effected by the morph that should not be. This effect also impacts hair. The hair will not fit properly over the ears, it is far too high above the ear. If you apply any hair, and the dial the headshop morph up and down, you can watch the head move up and down the neck, while the rest of the body and even the hair remain in the same location. This is a major bug that must be addressed. This looks like a lot of fun and might be my Christmass present to myself. So I have not messed around with making my own morphs yet so I am ignorant about these things, but is there a work around to fix the effects of the non-smile bug mentioned above in something like Hexegon?
This is a bug that effects the "non-smiling" heads and we are working to fix it. The current workaround is to dial back the morph (Parameters/Morphs) from 70% to 35%. This should get rid of the wrinkle in the neck. (BTW: the issue has nothing to do with the bones). We expect this bug to be fixed before New Years.
Great to know, that you are working on the fix. Looking forward to it, when fixed.
All the best.
Headshop 11 QuestionsWill that include fixing the teeth? The teeth also warp as part of this morph. Also, when this fix comes, do we need to redo our headshop characters? I think the product "X-Morphs" may be able to fix the issue in the short term. It is capable of splitting morphs apart.Headshop 11 ProblemsI am having huge problems with Headshop too, I have tried Gen, 2,3 and 8 and they all do the same thing. HeadShop 11 Installation HelpWe completed a brief video on youtube about installing HeadShop 11 in conforming (c:\Program Files) and non-conforming (b, d, e etc:\) locations.
Bought headshop for DAZ Stuido but have no idea where it went after download with Install ManagerHmm!
I used Install Manager for download and Install Headshop but nothing in Install Manager show any listed for Headshop if it was installed or download!
I tried again and click the button so I am not sure if it ge installed a not! I tried to find it in DAZ Studio as well but can't find anything there!
Anyone who have a clue what happend or where it might be!
Thanks
Alf K
HeadShop does not use InstallManager. It has its own installer.
Download zip, unzip and read README.
headshop oneclick installation problemCan one have both OneClick and Headshop 11 installed on the same computer?
Just in case, if OneClick handle better non smile reference images.
It is possible. Two options: have both in the same DAZ 3D folder, and rename one "HeadShop plugin" folder that is not used (for example 11HeadShop plugin or similar).
The second option is to have two DAZ Studios, and launch the one you want to use.
