II was indeed better than I. And you kind of didn't need to see I to appreciate II. III (Search for Spock) and IV (Return Home; AKA, "the Whales") were also good. V was a good story but a bad implementation. I thought VI (The Klingon one) was very good.
The 3 with Chris Pine were good stories but had a lot of flaws. Decent action. There's rumor that they want to do another one. Better hurry up, 'ole Chris Pine is going to be pushing 50 in a few years. Captain Kirk's median age is mid-30s, per Roddenberry's original vision.

Yeah, Pre G8 figures are perfect for it, because lips, nails, nipples, the different parts of the eyes all have their own material zones. You can get away with minimalist texturing that way, and it looks fantastic.

Maybe you should start watching Japanese videos and see if the algorithm explodes.
I was already watching a non-zero number of Japanese videos, so it probably wouldn't make that big of a difference.

@Leana, I had to look up him. Maybe, but Mr. Mikkelsen has that look of a good actor who can switch between leading man sexy and the guy next door who is working at any job or craft. I guess I would think of him as 'comfortable, well-worn, interesting everyman'. (I haven't watched TV or movies much since mid90s, due to my previous work schedule and distance to theaters.)

One character I have used many times is https://www.daz3d.com/willis-bundle. The bundle has the character, hair, outfit and usable for a variety of needs. It is at full price right now unforttunately.
