Gianni 7 HD
Well, at least I know it does exist now lol. Unless you meant another HD morph.
Modifying auto-follow and making jcm issueNo, if you create a custom morph that will be saved - with the scene if you don't save it as an asset.
Modifying auto-follow and making jcm issueSo the point for saving a FBM for lets say, fitness size or Victoria 7 is just a helper to generate that morph?? If so, just remain the JCM issue as I could not do anything else for the FBM/PBM. Thanks for the help.
Genesis 2 to Genesis 3 converterWell we do have lots of stuff already. I don't think we will ever get anything for Skins however as it has several challenges. You can look at the thread on how to use Blender to transfer the maps to see how complicated it is.
But we already have tools to transfer morphs (transfer utility is free, does require a bit of reading but will do the job. Once you are familiar with the process it's pretty easy). However, we likely will get a tool someday by some PA that will make it really easy.
For poses, we already have tools to convert them.
For clothes, we already have products for that as well.
What transfer utility? o.o
Modifying auto-follow and making jcm issueI'm not clear on what you are doing - creating morphs to follow an existing morph, or creating morphs to fit isues with posing?
Where is the dialling controls for the Aging Morphs (Genesis 2 Female)? When I clicked on the name of the package in the Content Library, I saw these options:Note that these items in the Content Library tab are generally morph presets — click on them and <clunk> the morph is either full on or full off.
And while I have the Genesis 2 Female selected, I don't see any options to dial the morphs in the Shaping tab,
Sometimes morph sets like these are properly set up to appear in the Shaping tab, but you should always also check in the Parameters tab.
Where is the dialling controls for the Aging Morphs (Genesis 2 Female)?i don't have the product, but you can download a detailed PDF user's guide here:
http://docs.daz3d.com/lib/exe/fetch.php/public/read_me/index/18018/18018_aging-morphs-2-tutorial.pdf
it's got a quickstart, screenshots and everything. the morph locations are shown on page 2.
hope that helps!

The I Wanted Mousse But Got A Moose Instead Complaint Thread....I have that and a number of Howie's other sets. Purchased them for scenes that take place on the grounds of the Grande Estate in my story, but had issues porting the characters in as Carrara doesn't recognise some of the morph and skin resoruce kits which I used.
I know I've ported Daz setups and "scene subsets" to Carrara before (ver 6.1) with no toruble. For some reason, 8.5 Pro seems not to like it.
had some luck saving G2M as 'scene asset' in DS4.6, then loading it into carrara. there's no way to swap the uvs inside carrara. hoping someone workin on a plugin for that. cant use g3 characters. >.<
still trying to figure out how to get the hd character settings to port over.Daz Studio Pro BETA - version 4.9.1.30! (HOTFIX - Release Candidate 3 - UPDATED)It is because, wgdjohn tried to help AlienRenders problem. to remove auto-applied morph (values) which should not be applied, about gensis3female base..
then thank you Spooky,, roll back nvidia driver work well for me,,,, then hope you test my bug report too.
Because,, I get answer,, from support ,, she and her team could not reproduce my problem. I discribed all proccess. in this topic, too.
Request #213193
saved morphs as scene, can not auto follow correctly
Physics for DAZ STUDIOPhysics (both rigid and softbody) is the ONE thing that DS is really in need of......aside from up-to-date documentation.
It needs it so badly that independent developers are trying to make stop-gap and full featured physics systems to splice it into DS. I'm one of them.
Poser has it. Carrera has it. Blender has it. LOTS of other render/animation packages have it.
DS still doesn't.
The hardest part is there is no way to load a non-linear progression-based morph. All morphs are simple linear start/end progressions (per vertex). While that's fine for rigid dynamics and simple conformable objects, it is a problem for soft-body objects. DS needs a 'progression' morph type (where each vertex has set of positions(or splines) it moves through as the morph is dialed from 0 to 100%, rather than just between two positions.) This would enable generating a full animation deformation of an object for a given movement of the vertexes (as well as updating them) based on the simulation, rather than having to do object swapping or huge numbers of individual morphs. Caching vertex deltas for every keyframe would be very memory hungry. Being able to convert those as they are generated into a set of spline based progressions would enable a lot of functionality.
(now my head is trying to figure out a good programming structure to hold and utilize such a 'morph' efficiently again......)
Particles and metaforms would be wonderful too.....
If DS 5.0 has Physics, Particles and Metaforms, I'd be so happy I'd probably squee like a teenaged girl.....
(just as an example: A moderately complex scene has ~1million vertexes. Maybe half of those need simulation....lets be conservative and say a quarter. So 250k vertexes. Now for say a 10 second animation, at 30fps, is 300 frames. Thats 75 million vertex positions to cache for the whole simulation (1 per vertex per frame). That's about 225 million floats to store. Or about 900MB. Now if we instead decompose the invidual vertex positions into connected splines, at say 1 spline/second....that's 10 splines per vertex, at about 48-144 bytes per spline (depending on what kind of spline is used) which gives us about 36MB to store. That is 1/30th of the data, with very little loss of detail....though very noisy motion would be lost. Toughest part is doing the curve-fitting to get the spline parameters from the sequence of vertex positions.)
Ok, I think I understood the idea. How long will it take to see the finished system?
Legacy UV's for Genesis 3; V4Gotta say I love your solution to the 'impossible' conversion of V4 to G3F. Simple, easy to use and it works beautifully. Between that and various autofit clones, I'm able to use my characters across the various figures with only minor morph differences between them. :)
Modifying auto-follow and making jcm issueHmmm, as a morph asset, no. Replaced deltas on FBM/PBM, and created a new one on JCMs, they are there after reloading, but wrong. For instance, going on hidden, I see all four JCMs on one garment, and when saving it as an asset I see the FBM and PBM names as it gets saved.
About the re-saving them as a morph asset, can try but tutorials don't say a thing about that, but the thruth is that don't work for me that way. How should I save them to replace the original??
Daz Studio Pro BETA - version 4.9.1.30! (HOTFIX - Release Candidate 3 - UPDATED)mmmm,,,, Usually, when we see auto-applied morph problem,, it must happen about all same character.duf.
if it happen about second loaded G3F , it should happen first loaded G3F too.. without you use different character preset, or overwritten scene subset.
then Alienrenders case seems somehow special.
And If those problem morphs change default and current value, and were saved as each morph.dsf,,so that they are auto applied,, the way to overwrite character preest may only work about the character(or subset).duf.
when you load other character which use same base,,, it still load these problem morphs. Usually genesis3female.duf, which packaged in genesis3female starter kit., discribe only few morph value ( like, naval, or HD mouse) , and may better not change them. to solve morph applied problem,, we usually need to find problem morphs, and change default, and current value,,, about each problem morph.dsf ,,, (by editor,, or ovwrite them from daz studio..)
about character.duf,, even though it was overwritten,, and cause problem ,, should be easy re-installed clean one.
I know,, user will re-install genesis3starter essentials when they first see auto-applied morph problem.(but main reason is usually,, in morph.dsf,, so that usually,, tweak genesis3female.duf (character) can not completely remove this problem)
Modifying auto-follow and making jcm issueDid you re-save the corrected morph as a morph asset to replace the auto-generated one?
Modifying auto-follow and making jcm issueHi,
I'm working on something to start being a PA. I've finished the modelling and texturing and started to prepare them on Daz Studio but, FBM corrections seem to work after about 10-14 tries. The FBM get new poke throughs on parts I didnt even touch when fixing the initial ones and as said, sometimes it take as much as 14 times to get one working, just to found them messed up again after reload.. and JCMs seems to work at first try as I make them but always, always, after reloading they're not only working, the joint issue sometimes is far worse than before.
I've followed both tutorials, I think that I do nothing wrong as the JCMs, or FBM, work when I just do them. My workflow is: I load and auto-follow it with the transfer tool, it looks perfect on G3F, I try FBM, or PBMs, and look at joints to make JCMs, then using the GOZ, I fix them, and use GOZ again, morph loader pro appears, chechk the correct thingies (for FBM/PBM or JCMs) they work ( (eventhough for the FBM/PBM I see them correctly on ZBrush, and they go to Daz like they want..., so its a thing of try and error until I get it well), even the JCMs work on the fixed FBMs, but eventhough I save the document, and the garment, no matter how many times I try, or how (using export instead of GOZ, different scales...) I do it, they go just bad.
Any help would be welcome, thanks.
Zone Smoother for Genesis 3 Female(s) - Will work in DS4.8 pro?I'm assuming that the bug fix will be in the product if we wait a few days to download it?
It's actually already in there, so you can download it right away

Have not tested it until now, not enough time, two questions:
1. Once created, will a morph stay forever? Means, if I use zone smoother for a pose and then I zero the figure and save it as a scene for example (what I do) and reopen it, will the morph be there?
2. Is it possible to delete a once created morph (can be that I do something wrong and want to delete the morph) ?
Hello Cosmo!
1. Yes, your smoothed morphs will be saved with your scene and will be ther when you reload.
2. Also yes :-). When you create a smoothed morph, there is an undo button which will delete the new morph if you aren't happy with it. You can alos overwrite a smoothed morph just by naming the new morph the same thing (you'll be prompted to aask if you want to replace the old morph).
ah okay, that`s cool, maybe I find some time so a can try it this weekend...
Asian female face morphThank you so much for this great morph i am sure i dont speak for just myself but we all will get alot of mileage out of this one.
Daniel
Wow~ Perfect Render with BG :)

Sapphire & the Coloured GirlsI was instantly drawn to the figure (as I am with most of Raiya's beauties) because I thought she looked a teensy like Rhianna, who is from Barbados and whose father is part Irish (and therefore definitely mixed race). I had no idea about the Sapphire thing, but I am of the belief that's its only a big deal if people make it a big deal ;).
Cara is far and away my favorite character of ANY Genesis variety - her delicate beauty and skin color beat all the other characters hands-down ;).
Laurie
I concur. Here's a 3Delight test render of Cara's skin with a custom face morph.
