Save Dialled-in Character
I don't sell or distribute - it is just a hobby for me.
I'm not quite clear on the morph procedure though - are you saying just export as .obj and then re-import with Morph Loader? And this would become a new morph parameter for any G2F based figure? If so, then that answers the question but I'm confused now about the other procedure described in Tottallou's post (above) which involves creating a new property, ERC Freeze, etc. Do they both achieve the same thing?
Export the morph figure as obj. Load a blank G2F figure, import your obj with morph loader to create the morph, then save your newly created morph as a morph asset so that it gets added to the data folder. It should then be available as part of the list of G2F morphs when you load G2F.
I think Tottallou's procedure creates a new "master dial" for your character which would set the right values to all the individual morphs you used.
What I suggest creates a new individual morph from the combined morphs, hence why I asked if it was for your own use: if you wanted to distribute it then you couldn't use that method unless the morphs were merchant resources.

Save Dialled-in CharacterIf it's for your own use you could export the morphed character as obj and create a new morph from that obj with morph loader.
NEW! Novica & Invited Guest Contributors Tips & Product Reviews Pt 6Oh, I'm excited! I just got a response to my Uniform Dress bug report that says it has been updated. I'm downloading now. If it is truly all fixed, that will be an all time record fast response, I think. I'll check it and report back...
Well, my test is done. Some things were fixed. Some things were not. All in all, I think the product is much more usable now.
These are the bugs I reported:
- Poses>By Function>Grasp has two icons for Right Hand Grip Duster.duf. What is the difference? When the Duster is selected in the Scene pane, both Right Hand Grip Duster poses show up in Smart Content as being compatible with the Duster, but only one works. The other displays an error message when it is applied. What is wrong? Is one of the poses supposed to be compatible with G3F instead of the duster? Both poses seem to work now when applied to the duster, but Daz did not answer the question about what the difference is. Both poses seem to do the same thing.
- Utilities>Visibility has two icons for each action. I assume one is for Iray and one for 3Delight, but there is no way for a user to distinguish which is which. Fixed by moving the icons into the Materials category and subcategory of Iray or 3Delight.
- Nurse ID Badge.duf is in Lost and Found. Fixed.
- When Maid Head Band is selected in the Scene pane, Smart Content>Materials, Files, Filter by Context checked, shows only 3Delight materials. Iray material is not shown. Instead, the Iray material for Maid Head Band is shown as compatible with Name Badge. Fixed.
- Iray material icons have no text or symbol to distinguish them from 3Delight materials. This makes selecting them from the Content Library Product display difficult. Not changed. If you don't use Smart Content and prefer to use the Content Library>Products view, you will have a hard time.
- All 4 surfaces of the Socks Iray materials use very high SubD Displacement Level (value of 4). High surface SubD Displacement like this is very resource intensive in Iray. It seems unwarranted for a pair of socks that are unlikely to be the center of focus of a render of this product and may even be half covered by the shoes. Not changed. Workaround if displacement is causing too much system load: Just turn off displacement in the sock materials when using the Iray materials. I don't think you get any value from it in a normal render.
- Nurses cap Iray materials render very gray, not white as shown in the promo images. I noticed that the base color is set to a pretty dark gray. Why? Not changed. Workaround: Change the Base Color to a lighter value, like the value used for the white dress.
- The white socks render yellowish and splotchy, not white as shown in the promo images. The gray socks Iray material also renders splotchy. I think the splotchy issue is caused by a bad UV map. UV map was fixed. Color is unchanged. In other lighting I guess it looks OK, so I won't worry about it. My lighting was probably mostly to blame for the yellowish tint.
- The socks also have a poke through problem sometimes. You can even see it in the store promos. Not fixed. Workaround: hide the character's feet and toes and/or use the FBMExpandAll morph on the socks. Turning off displacement may also help.
(TEE HEE - forum spell checker wanted to change FBMExpandAll to Bedpan.
)Need opinion on new computer.Personally, since TigerDirect was bought out, I'd not shop there. The prices are better elsewhere for most parts.
MicroCenter ( www.microcenter.com ) has very competitive prices. I'm fortunate that I have one of their retail stores nearby. Frys ( www.frys.com ) sometimes has some good deals too. And it never hurts to check Amazon.
For $1000 you should be able to assemble a pretty good i7 system, or a kick-but AMD. (I'm assuming you aren't including stuff like monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers....those will transfer to the new system.)
From Microcenter:
Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz socket 1151 $350
ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Hero 1151 MB $215 ($20 off bundle with CPU above)
Corsair 16GB 2 x 8GB DDR4-3000 $95
TT Toughpower Grand 1050W 80+Gold $220 ($30 rebate too)
Tower Case (various types) $50 (around that)
Samsung 850 EVO SSD 250GB $90
WD Black 7200RPM 2TB HDD $130
WH16NS40 16x Int. Blu-Ray Rewriter $55
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Total before GPU..................................$1115
EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC w/ACX.....$350 ($30 rebate)
Total: $1465 (plus shipping)
If you aren't planning on adding more GPUs, you can drop the Power Supply down to a 750W or so, for about $100 less, and double the memory with that extra money. And you could go with a more mid-range motherboard, and probably save another $100.
And for $130, they'll build it for you.
Need opinion on new computer.Personally, I would go with the more expensive one.
First factor I considered was the liquid cooling. The NVIDIA card can run pretty hot, particularly during rendering, so the liquid cooling might make a significant difference in render speeds. Just a guess though.
Second factor is the Intel chip vs. the AMD chip. I've never been a big fan of AMD and I would go name brand on this. It's a personal call. I would also check to see if the chip set on the Intel makes for easier future upgrade as opposed to the AMD. My thought being that the more expensive rig might be more future proof than the the cheaper one (i.e. being able to upgrade parts later).
My third factor is the SATA III interface on the more expensive rig. It might not make a big deal now, but the transfer rates may be a bigger deal as SATA IIIs become more standard (and come down in price).
"220 Emotions for Genesis" not working in daz 4.9Morph files should be in the Data folder, in .dsf format, and should not be showing in the content panes within Daz Studio (there may be presets for applying them, however). The morphs will usually load with the figure and be available as sliders in the Paarmeters and (for expressions) Posing panes.
Tears HDThe morphs will presumably not transfer.
But maybe the static version is credible enough... That's why I asked.
The product is using part of genesis 3 female for the morphs, then using HD for detail, so as richard said they will not transfer to G3M because of the HD and the different poly counts.

Little confused! Can I use clothing from the Genesis on the Michael series character.
It depends on which Michael you're talking about. If you mean Michael 3 or 4, then no.
Michael 5 is a morph for Genesis 1 and can use clothing made for Genesis 1 directly.
Michael 6 is a morph for Genesis 2 Male and can use clothing made for G2M directly.
Michael 7 is a morph for Genesis 3 Male and can use clothing made for G3M directly.
If you want to use Michael 5, 6 or 7 with clothing made for a version of Genesis which is not the one that Michael character is based on then you will need to autofit the clothes (which might require purchasing autofit clones, depending on the figures involved).
Runtime DNA content migration and downloadJust a silly question: the transfer is already ongoing for someone?
Installing Morph packagesHi there,
I bought a few Morph packages and was wodnering if they will be installed automatically DAZ Install Manager, or should I do something else after that?
I noticed that there is a dashed circle with a down arrow on some of them. When I right clicked on it it shows "Install". Does it mean that these Morph packages have not been installed yet and I need to manually install them by clicking on that circle/arrow icon?
Thank you for your help,
_KN
Save Dialled-in CharacterI copied this a few months ago from somewhere on this forum & think its what you are looking for
It worked to make a morph dial for me - Sorry I can't find the original post to give credit to the person that wrote it
Apply your saved preset
Right-click on the Parameters pane and from the menu put it in Edit mode
Right-click in the group you want to contain the new controller and select Create New Property
Most of the options should be OK, you may want to adjust limits and the path, you will certainly want to give it a name and label.
Right-click on your new property and select ERC Freeze - this should have the new property listed as the controller and the morphs used in your preset listed as the controlled properties. Assuming it looks OK click Accept.
If the controller works as desired zero it and File>Save as>Support Assets>Morph Asset.
March 2016 New User 3D Art Contest “Posing” (WIP Thread)Reminds me of my work on the matter from last year, original idea to that came from here: http://motocorsa.com/featured/ducati-1199-panigale-desktop-wallpapers-manigale
If you would like to use a motorcycle closer to you original, I used this from share cg, http://www.sharecg.com/v/54753/browse/5/3D-Model/Ducati-Bike I didn't get to work the materails though, had to do them myself.
Good work so far
I was curious about the bike as I like collecting 3d models of vehicles. This link goes to a place without a download link. Go here for the actual bike .obj. Thanks for pointing toward the bike, Linwelly. And, it does look close to the one in Shinji's reference photo.
Shinji - Have you worked with D-formers yet? Using a deformer on your model's derriere would help make him look more like he is sitting on the bike and give it a more natural flow. I'd try arranging the D-former on the model while he is naked, but just have the pants hidden. Some clothes are pickier than others about fitting themselves to models with D-formers applied so you might have to actually fiddle with the pants afterward, too. Conversely, if you are comfortable with modelling, you could also export your posed model and bike to a modelling program and create a morph. I'm not sure what you've experimented with yet. It would be so nice if there were products like Glute Control and Squish for the guys, but, unfortunately, not yet. Let me know if you need links and I'll track them down in my bookmarks.
Oh, thanks for adding the correct link, don't know why I got that wrong.
I think it was more there was a problem with the page or how the uploader handled it. Easy to do and luckily when I went to the page in your link, the correct page was one of the suggested pages of interest so I just clicked on that to see if there was actually a file. There is only one word difference between the two links.
Question for vendors: what Daz figure's products sell better these days? From a customer standpoint, I like to build character "dna", so anything that will contribute, I'll get. Character packs with unique features, yes. Pretty girls with a bunch of make-up options, nope - got plenty of those and know how to make my own or kit bash the stuff I already bought. Same goes for texture packs for hair and clothes. I buy clothes that add something new (shape, morphs) to my runtime. Things I can mix & match. I really like when garments have a Wear-Over kind of morph. I support characters that have lots of products available. e.g. I like the Anastasia GND morph for Alyson2 (a Poser character if you're not familiar with her) but there really isn't much support for her, so I tend to buy stuff for my DAZ characters. And I'm a sucker for falling in love with a character. I still haven't gotten over Michael 5 yet - he's my go-to male. And I caved in on Aiko 6 because of one her add-on characters from a PA.

March 2016 New User 3D Art Contest “Posing” (WIP Thread)Shinji - Thanks. I like the lighting, too. I might keep that and just tweak it a little.
@Linwelly I see what you mean. I'll work on that some more because I think you are correct in that the waist is curved or twisted a little more toward the head. I love working with animals and there simply aren't enough poses around for them. I've had to do my own posing for most of the animals that I've used in renders.
Knittingmommy. You can post the images in the WIP thread for feedback. If entering I would use new poses and imges.
Sorry for the delay in responding.
@Kismet2012 I kind of figured on my own that that would be fair. No worries about not getting back to me sooner. This is a new pose and reference and not one I had already started before the contest. Just started on this pose and the one I'll be adding yesterday. If I post any poses that I want critiques about, I'll wait until I've finished my entries. It would be nice to get some input on some of the other poses I've been working on for this wolf pose pack. We'll see how it goes once I'm done with my official entry, or entries if I have time to do more than one.
I thought that I'd do something to remember my late uncle. One of the things that he had loved was riding motorcycles. (I still to this day remember the one time that he gave me a ride on his crotch-rocket. Even though he tried to take it easy on me, I was scared out of my whits and wanted nothing to do with it again. Heck I sware that my eyes were pressed into the back of my head from the acceleration, they were even watering.)

Bend Control for Genesis 3 Females and Males (Commercial)Some more examples. Here we can see the difference the Hip Controller makes with a bit of the heavy morph dialled in.
