Apollo Maximus is BACK!!! The Optimal 3D Figure--Working Download!
I'm sure I had a morph to make Apollo look like vin diesel, but I can't find it! Does anyone know where it should be in my runtime?
Use JCMs partially?Hi, another issue arises, I hate to be a newbie
.I have a long coat, but would be the same for a long open dress, or anything like that. I want to bend the legs forward to the top without rising the coat on the way, cause it should remain on its place, just a bit more open to let the leg stand out. This is my workflow, I make a JCM, I use the morph, it works... so no problems so far, until I begin to lower it, pfffff, what a mess!, it tries all the way down to take its original broken look like it was on the 135 top before the fix until it reaches the 0 again and the same for 0 to 135 travel.
So, the question is, could I do several JCMs to be used partially?? lets say, at 20, 40, 80, 100, and the last at 135 to get a perfectly smooth travel from 0 to 135 and vice versa??
Upcoming Genesis 3 Male MorphsNice render, mjc! I did have Bruce Timm's cartoon style in mind when I created the morph.
I may end up separating the head and body so that you can dial in your own unique head morphs.
Everyday Party Decorations -- thank you, maclean!maclean does it again with Everyday Party Decorations -- and by "it" I mean putting out a well made product of great usefulness that fills a niche that no one else seems to have addressed so far.. All sorts of streamers, swags, bunting, pennants, balloons, and bubbles stock this magnificent [and affordable] package.
And did I mention that a lot of them morph? The bubbles change shape. You can lengthen your streamers and make them sway. You can control the thickness of the bunting. And there are 3DL and Iray materials.
Though there are some pieces specific for birthdays or Christmas, most of these can be used for any occasion: dance parties, proms, tailgate parties, graduations, all sorts of celebrations.
And now, with the March Madness discount, Everyday Party Decorations is just $8.97, which makes this large bundle a great deal. Cheaper than buying from your local party supply store...
I think I'm going to add some "on the floor in a pile" morphs to the streamers and post them this weekend...

P.S. This isn't a paid endorsement or anything; this is just the entusiastic response of a happy buyer!
Asian female face morphHeryun,
Very good morph. I will try to post a render here and/or to My Gallery when I take time to upload a few more acceptable renders done.
All the rendered morphs look great... good job folks.
So Where Is Steel? Thanks guys! The male morph looks really nice!
So Where Is Steel? The Comet male morph pack includes autofit clones for G2M, Hiro 3 and Michael 4
Edit: I'll edit my original post. I had to go hunting for it when I didn't see it on Aeridis' ShareCG Gallery page.
Genesis 3 no breast morph?I'm not 100% sure but I think the Genesis 3 Female Body Morphs in the DAZ Store include such a morph.
I checked for you and under Shaping -> Chest -> Real World - Breasts Gone
Change to one hundred percent and you basically get a child's chest.

Genesis 3 no breast morph? Are there any morphs where I can use sliders to remove the breasts completely using Genesis 3?
How Poser content works on Daz Studio?I do the morph on Zbrush using GOZ plugin and then that morph appears in my dials. I just save that scene by "File -> Save as"
I think all that does is save the morph data into that scene, and only that scene. What you should do is save the morph itself as a morph asset — that saves the morph data as a new part of the figure, so it's available for use the next time you load the figure.
So Where Is Steel?I installed Aeridis' Comet male morph (at the link posted by Havos) and threw this together. Aeridis also has many autofit clones for Star too, including one for Genesis 2 Male. Here Comet is wearing Luthbel's Eldritch Seeker outfit for Genesis 2 Male.
Edit: The Comet Male morph download includes the autofit clone for Genesis 2 Male and also one for Hiro 3 and Michael 4!
Transferring Morphs from Genesis to G2M/G2F and from G2M/G2F to Genesis (Now with Clones!)Hey folks. a love letter to this thread. Genesis 3... Wearing Gen2 clothes, Genesis Hair, a V4 skin, Antonia turned into a head morph, and transferred David 5 as a body morph
(the body morph is transferred through just the transfer utility, the Antonia head was a whole lot of blender)
Content licensing for games? So, each person you collaborate with will have to buy the content and a game development license individually to be legal. It's very clear from what Chohole has copied from the DAZ 3D Game Developer License.
So in this case if your team can't afford it and they probably can't what you do is use CC0 or similar commercial available art from Blendswap to prototype your game with your team and then the owner of the DAZ Game Dev license and content swaps that CC0 content with the DAZ content if they still desire too after the development is ready to publish. They just may decide to use the Blendswap art, alot of it is quite good.
Or if you're going to sub in DAZ models from a prototype it'd be even better to use Morph 3D models as prototypes as they'll cause less trouble when you swap them with DAZ models in your published game.
If you prefer the more realistic DAZ style your team should use the Morph 3D Lite or Morph 3D paid models as they are part of DAZ and have more of the same features.
Content licensing for games?I don't think a team of people as a business can purchase a game development license on the cheap terms of an indie developer. They spell it out in the license terms you'll have to read the license terms yourself.
The prior bought content belongs to the original purchaser. The original purchaser cannot transfer his purchased content to a business team because the terms of the licenses are different. That I know. The original purchaser needs to buy a game dev license to use that content and it will remain legally theirs. Knowing what I know about these nebulous game development teams the original purchaser would be wiser to purchase a game development license for their own use legally and financially and proceed from there.
There is nothing then that disallows the collaboration on a team with the original purchaser retaining the rights to the game development license and purchased content when and as team members come and go to the team; but to think a team of people are all going to throw in, eg., $25 each and use that pooled money to purchase content and a game development license and each person that contributed to the pot can then walk away from the deal with a game development license and the content is a clear no-go.
How Poser content works on Daz Studio? It "should" be in the DUF file if you didn't save it as a "Morph Asset".
Should and are...not always the same thing.
I've found that there are less problems (not showing up again, not being 'connected', etc) if it is saved as a proper asset type, before saving a scene.
Star!Odd question, I know, but might there be a male equivalent to Star!?
I don't think it's an odd question, I was wondering the same thing. Someone mentioned a character called Steel in this thread : http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/74049/so-where-is-steel
The only serious reply was a link to a free male morph for Star.
*SOLVED * Genesis 3 Female finger issueYou need to do an ERC freeze to lock the bones in place; I don't know if it's unique to me, but the last few times I've done these, I've found that I had to do the freeze step twice before it took.
Do I do this befor I apply any poses or any morphs? As in, do I need to do this on a Base Genesis 3 and then apply the youth/yonger morphs, or after I've apllied the younger morphs (still in the "T" pose), but before any other poses?
If so, why is that? Is there a morph that causes this? I never had such issues with Genesis or Genesis 2, so I'm just trying to understand! :P
Converting Poser Dynamic clothingI used to work with Optitex clothes in DS 3 when I could transfer the cloth as a DAE into Carrara. When Daz switched to DUF, I found that it didn't work so well anymore. But recently, because of this thread, especially 3dage's examples, I re-installed Dynamic cloth control and I found out to my surprise that it worked again with Optitex clothes. Maybe it's because I have a new computer? As far as converting the conforming clothes to dynamic with the DynCreator script, I didn't find that so easy. I may find a way. Here's an example with Optitex leather jacket, simulated in DS an d transferred as DUF into Carrara. I found that the sleeves were too long, and I didn't find a way (yet) to shorten them.
But don't you think that Dorle has a nice leather jacket? If you ask him, he'll say it's a gorgeous jacket, and don't you say otherwise. You'll hurt his feelings.
Render unto CaesarWaiting for renders (like water dripping on your forehead) has finally driven me to buying a new Imac (i7). The idea is to keep working in Carrara on one Mac while rendering on the other. The problem is when I transfer the Carrara icon of the scene I want to render to my new Imac (via a USB hard drive) it comes over whithout textures. I have never thought of this before..but it makes sense, in that Carrara has to reference the texture maps which I originally supplied - for example the roofing tiles. But why does it not use its own textures : for example the trees, which are in its own library ? Instead I get a grey non-texture surface on all objects in the scene - fortunately the keyframes all came across. Either way, the question is what is the best way to transfer my Carrara file over from my work Mac to my "Render Mac" . At present I am making a folder with Carrara and all the texture maps within, then transfer the folder .. Is this the best procedure ? I don't want to use a Render Network as, from what I understand, this would keep both macs rendering.
Thanks for any advice and guidance.
