Please post a screenshot of all the settings you used in the Transfer Utility Maybe someone can spot whether you have something set incorrectly there. Did you use a Genesis 2 Male with out any morphs, or did you use a morphed figure, like Michael 6?

I understand where you coming from and I didn't take anything personal lol. Was more explaining why certain things aren't included from the get go. Regarding nipples, unfortunately g3 polygons in that area are lower than g2, so the only way to remedy that is by creating an hd morph. When I have time I will try and update Shapeshift to include such a morph. However you will have to render at a higher sub level.

No problem - I do anyway - Luxrender requires Subd level 3 just to render HD. I have Shapeshift so I'll look forward to an update. :)

  • Need Purchace Advice

"BTW why is Genesis 2 Female(s) Morphs Bundle more expensive than Genesis 3 Female(s) Morphs Bundle?"

Insofar as I am aware, there is no bundle for the Genesis 3 Morph packs as there is for Genesis2 Morphs (not yet, anyway). The basic packs for each model are identically priced for both models at $19.95. The G2F bundle represents a significant savings if you need both head and body morphs over buying them individually, but this option is not available for G3F, as I mentioned.

You see it is not that easy since frekles are bellow the epidermis where melanin is produced and not on top , the top need to be free , but I found already posibilities for the skin tones so proper maps can be made for the melanin effect as we need different skin tones also and everything happening  bellow the base color , if you put on top,  it can work if semi opaque images are overlayed but will looks more like a dirt on top or as fake tan spray . I just talked about the tatoos if this works and should working then yes but it will all happen bellow base color for proper PBR and the base color can''t be changed no matter the skin tone unless we talk about an alien or other creatures  , however I can add one more layer of basic diffuse and make the uber shader separate from everything else so ending in 4 skin layers and use the second base diffuse for semi opaque maps what would save a lot of work and easy to use for  tatoos and other stuff and I know it is possible as I already tried time ago just not yet with this new skin settings .The posibilities are endless

Here some little preview of physically based skin that does not use any texture maps as we usual do .. and all you see is generated by colors only ..no photos

The layers are constructed the way it works in real world for comparison fragment of a skin photo just from different part of the body

I did not finished yet with the skin but you can also see the little hair on the edges (fuzz ) and of course it is big scale of a rough skin

also now when you have scar build in the model morph or normal it will looks like a scar depends of how deep it get how more it will be  prominent and the same for wrinkles

of course human skin has different texture on different areas , so all it will be controlled by normal maps that in this case need to be perfect and the best 3D normal maps and not just converted from photos

anyway I am on my way cracking the rest of the codes .. hehe

Thanks very much. This is very what I was planning to until I found out I can buy them from you or rather, will be able to buy from you. I am using a traditional texture now and even though it's professional and has a high resolution it looks, well, painted for video games at lower resolutions. Your PBR set would solve that...and leave it to the PBR lighting. Basically one would need only add partially transparent texture layers for such things as freckles, farmer's tans, and similar coloration.

Wow, sounds like this product will be much easier to make good renders with than what I'm trying now.

I'm glad that you'e done Swole morphs for Genesis 1, 2, & 3, but what about the ladies? It would be nice to have more options for muscular ladies than the few we currently have.

Even though I'm not too fond of muscular ladies.  (I prefer my women tone but not muscular) I did a muscular morph using my MuscularityMorphs for Genesis 2 product last year:

That was on my schedule for this year but I don't know if there will be such demand after Xenic took the Muscle morphs this years and Raw already did his Massive for G3 females.

Nice render! I don't like women with too many muscles (to paraphrase Janet Weiss), but I do find the extreme musculature to be handy for some superheroines. I suppose when GenX supports Genesis 3, I can just transfer the morphs over to G3F.

Ok the hex part was only because of compression option. I can open it now and the file looks normal but the morph doesn't appear outside the original project.

  • From Marvelous Designer to DAZ anno 2016 – I pay for help

I’m pretty new to Daz Studio (3 month), and I’ve already spend a lot of money in the shop.

Unfortunately I don’t find as much clothes here for men as for women, which has brought me to the solution of making my own.

I’ve seen and read hundreds of tutorials of how to make clothes for Daz characters, but I’m still in doubt or actually—confused.

I found Marvelous Designer, and I love the program. I used it for three hours and made my first piece of clothes.

Now I want to go from Marvelous Designer to Daz. (But I won’t buy MD unless I can actually use it).

I know the topic’s been talked about earlier, but either its in 2011 (much must have happened since then) or it is from Daz to MD, which is not what I want. I also found (old) tutorials where the clothes was for Second Life. Not my ball game.

    Goal:

Make morphable clothes in Marvelous Designer 5 to Daz Studio 4.9, preferably good enough to share with other DAZ geeks.

    What I think I know:

    1. Create clothes in MD
    2. Bring the clothes into some other 3D program to convert tri mesh to quad mesh > export
    3. Import into DAZ (and do something?)

    Questions:

    1. Are there anymore steps?

I’ve looked at Zbrush, but amazingly as that program is, it’s WAY overkill for what I need if all I have to do here, is convert the mesh.

I tried Blender (very shortly), but the mesh conversion wasn’t good enough. Perhaps there’s a workaround?

    1. What is it exactly that makes the clothes morphable? The mesh? Some rigging?
    2. I’m on a Mac so I can’t use Hexagon before it’s updated to OS 10.11, same goes with Carrara.
      I have Blender and Strata.

Does anyone know of a TUTORIAL that explains it all the way (I can make clothes in MD, but from 'export' and on)?

Can anyone help me through these steps?

For the first right explanation that even I can understand and make work, I’m offering a gift certificate to DAZ at 50$

    Lost of hope from here.

I have used MD for several years with DAZ. The simplest way to make the clothes work is to export a figure as a T or A pose as an .obj to MD, making sure your measurment system is for DAZ (box comes up for you to choose it.) Fashion your clothes. Go back to DAZ and set a pose. Export this as an .obj as well. When you import it into MD, set it as morph target (you will see the selection on the import box.) The figure will then move according to the posed/morph target and your clothes will follow the pose. Save your garment. Then export it as an .obj. Import into DAZ and the clothes will fit perfectly. Parent the clothes to your figure and they will follow her/him. All the clothes in my gallery were made with MD. I do mix and match clothes made here but skirts and tops and such are made entirely in MD. Hope this helps. It is very easy to do. Denise

  • G3F Load Error [Solved]

OK - so the log file shows the error four times. On each occasion it comes immediately before a MouthSmile morph...

  • How to import a morph?

Yes the log is rather long but I'm not sure what part is from now or earlier as even after a restart of daz it has the same length. I did a search for the morph name and it appears a couple times.

"WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(4575): Could not find parent for modifier:"

"WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(1381): Failed to prepare modifier:"

"WARNING: fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(1392): Failed to create modifier:"

Always ending with the morph name. I also tried to open the dsf file with an editor and everything is in hex while I'm able to open other morphs and read them.

I found the original project with the morph working and visible under parameters. To export that aren't I supposed to use File->Save As->Support Asset->Morph Assets and select the morph there? Because when doing so it creates the same .dsf with hex.

  • Star!

Finally had a few moments to test Star and Aeridis3D's Comet morph, just a quickie shot using the Genesis Supersuit, Smay's Chibi Boy hair and a couple of OOT's facial morphs.

I'm very impressed with Aeridis3D's clones for both Star and Comet, are there any similar ones out there for Chip and Cookie? Has anyone bookmarked any good tutorials for building clones (in case I can't pay someone to do them for me)?

Is there an error in the log file (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log) immediately after loading the item? If you enable Show Hidden Parameters in the Parameter pane option menu (lined button in the top corner or right-click on the tab) does the morph then appear?

    It is for gloves.

The morph adjust the position of the tip of each glove finger.

I tried both with selected figure and with selected gloves and can't find it. It also doesn't show up when searching by its name.

It was created a couple days ago and worked while the original project was still open. The path used is Actor.

  • Benchmarking comparison of Iray, Lux and keyshot

I used Keyshot for a little while until I held my nose and learned Marmoset Teabag2.  Either of them meh, but Keyshot is kinda a toy.

"There's no hard and fast equation to a good render. As demonstrated in these tests there are too many variables even in a simple scene to say do XYZ to get a good render."

That's actually interesting.  I've been torturing myself with V-Ray tutorials and it may have served a useful purpose.  Idk y it took me until yesterday to realize it's refraction that makes water and glass, water and glass.  Hmmm.  Spikes rendertimes though.  Does iRay have a rendersample pass?  Well, do they have any multipass (man that Ukrainian actress really messed me up, Fifth Element)?  Cause if the end user doesn't get ANY feedback on what's going on in the engine itself, we r screwed and are more alchemists than practicioners...

Anyone can tell, well most anyone, if they see red pixels in their rendersample passes.  There are primary rays for lighting and "secondary" rays for shadows, for example and the way the ray tracing engine uses primary and secondary multiples to determine number of light bounces was weird to learn for me.   With the rendersample pass, if the scene is too red, increase samples (simple explanation).     If it's almost all blue, you just spent the summer rendering 2 frames if you're not rendering with a render farm.  I think my render farm really sucks, it's one workstation and the old hampster is almost in mutany mode...so I think I'll start a render and then check it in a day or two if it didn't make an escape. On the upside, my bro will give me his old graphics card which is MY graphics card I use now, so I can SLI at least and heat my room to tropical temps this spring and summer.

And I don't think you mentioned, nVidia GPUs or you're screwed either.  So maybe the CPU pedigree doesn't matter, but the GPU's pedigree is all important.  I wonder what percentage of the population even makes a distinction of GPU and CPU?  I saw a video with Korean girls shown most of the current female western pop stars and they all said, "They all look alike!"

I'm here for the iRay renderer from iClone.  So far in the 5 or so days I've been playing with iClone and the day and a half I've been playing with Daz Studio, I can export and import between the two, but I can't find a model that has her face boned yet.  Very weird.  I just started the 3Dxchange with a Genesis 2 model, so I assume, duh.  I was on the forums looking to find out which models can morph their facial features and lipsync given facial bones for the purpose when I saw this article.

I've seen some of your youtubes and do appreciate them.

    2.  What is the morph itself, a shape of some sort?  What does the morph do?

    3.  If this is for a figure, do you have the figure selected when you look for the parameter?

    4.  What path did you use when you did the parameter properties?

@Med4D  That looks amazing!  Can't wait to see something like this in the store.  If anyone can crack the codes, I have a feeling you can.  smiley

Well, I was trying to redo the render of my leprechaun with a hat I tracked down, in a G2 Female outfit, I discovered I had.  Unfortunately, it is STILL rendering and I didn't make it in time to enter in the contest.  It was that sparkly hat I think RGcincy used in his entry only I used the Old Car ABA shader, Worn Leather and the Tarpauline Dark Green on it.  It looked pretty good.  I'll add it to my gallery once it is done rendering.  I noticed that I made a mistake in the name of one of my shaders for my entry.  I called it scruffy leather or something when it is actually worn leather so I'm fixing that mistake and taking myself to bed.  Good luck to everyone on their entry!

  • How to import a morph?

I created a morph and did save it as .dsf file. The file is now in a subfolder of the item inside "Morphs". But the morph doesn't appear in the parameters tab. I can't open or import it with file->open/merge. When creating a new property for the item I find no option to assign it.

How can the morph be loaded or what is necessary to get it visible?
