Fern Lake & Through The Woods (Commercial)"If he doesn't include a 3DL version, I'd point out that in most cases it's really not that hard to convert Iray to 3DL (the exceptions are anything highly driven by metallic flakes, top coat, or different tiling of different channels)" OT: is there any way to convert Iray shaders to 3DL? I've written Iray off as too slow for my current rig, but all the Iray shader packs out there are making me a bit green. What I've read says "no," but I'd love to be wrong.
Shaders are iffy -- chances are they won't transfer, Products that don't have complex shaders should convert pretty well except for things like metals.
Backwards Gen MorphingIt can transfer back from G2 to G1, it can't transfer to the pre-Genesis figures
Backwards Gen MorphingFunny thing, I've not picked up Genx yet (but I did get all the add-ons in preperation of getting Genx) I wasn't aware GenX took genesis 2 morphs and transfered them to G1, M3, V4, etc. I thought it was to take all the lesser gens and transfer them to Genesis 1/2.
Bad hair dayGenesis (1st one) has a Basic Child morph...should be under Actor > Universal.
How about Genesis 2?
Backwards Gen MorphingI'm pretty new to Daz considering (I came in around the time of genesis 2) and am only just getting where I need to be with that generation.
Now we have genesis 3 out but I am definately not ready to move up, however there are some morphs/figures I'd like to use that are G3.
What would be cool would be a reverse genx so-to-speak where you can load your G3 morphs and transfer them to G2.
I know that due to differences in poly's an exact replica isn't possible, but maybe a best-guess/real close adaptation?

Pd Iray Shader Kit 2 by ParrotdolphinHm, I was thinking of doing something similar with the UV mapping thing, and my *theoretical* approach was the following:
- Export the figure as OBJ
- Retop/Remap it with a uniform UV (I believe there are freebie utilities to do this)
- Import it back in and use the transfer utility on the obj (may need to convert prop to figure)
Another method I thought of was using geografts, which is similar to how the V4 to G3F UV utilities work...
canine face shape for genesis2 and 3!RawArt man wolf is actually "cute" for me^^;
I now find some dog and anubis moprh for genesis1. maybe this product,,
http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-creature-creator-bundle
then if you get generation X add on, you can transfer them to genesis2male,, though I do not know,, each JCM work well when you pose and add expression for the transfered figure.
(nowdays I seldom transfer figures different generation, but, usually I need tweaking much about transfered fgiure when posing,,(or expression) I remember,,)
Then,, there seems no morph, which change genesis2male as dog or woulf in creature crerator bundle,,,,I surprised ^^;)
canine face shape for genesis2 and 3!dunno if http://www.daz3d.com/the-man-wolf can be ported over to G2M using GenerationX, not tried
but he is more of a freindlyanimal type wolf than a werewolf almost a german shepherd dog
is a full body morph so shoes do not fit well but I have dressed him
How to create a custom character tutorialHi,
I'd like to create a custom morph that appears under Shaping / Actor / People.
The morph is a combination of spinning differnt dials, ex, height, weight, face shape, etc....
So basicly once I spin my dials and create a charector I like, i'd like to save it as a custom morph.
There's a tutorial that i've seen and used, I just can't remeber anything aboput the process except that i have to do an erc freeze.
Thanks,
lost morphs after reinstallHi,,, Can not you remember,, where you saved the morph before?

the morphs should be saved in one of your content directory, (which daz content directory manager assgined,)\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 2\Female\Morphs\your vendor name. (or you set directory when you save morphs, default was "custom "product" I feel,,)
if you had some root directory (eg DIM default install directory, and your library) morphs are saved in one of them /data/ ....directory.
when you check DIM option,, Can you find DAZ install directory of DIM?
maybe after up-date to ds 4.9, you used the directory to save the morph,I think.(then it is not your default library),
did you buck up them? ("data" directory,, whiere you saved the morph)
canine face shape for genesis2 and 3!anyone have or know of a good canine shape for genesis2 or 3? i make tons of furriesand my main model is a wolf.

create cloth in MD problems + texturehi guys! im new in the forum. i created a sweater in marvelous designer and add some details in zbrush but when i import into Daz and use the transfer utility to rigged I found this problem: (watch the picture)
and i don't know how i can make and export the texture from zbrush to daz3d (noise+uv+normal map+displacement map and use alpha )
Does anyone know about this probleme
buy the way i invite you all to download my new product :www.sharecg.com/v/84372/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/cotton-t-shirt-for-Genesis-3-Female it's free
thanks to all daz3d family
New Release: Genesis Generation X2 (upgrade ends soon) [Commercial]I'm sorry for any confusion, but DAZ insisted on updating GenX1 together with GenX2 just for some installer reasons with DIM. Just ignore the GenX1 update, or be sure to install the GenX2 update last, otherwise the GenX1 update will uninstall GenX2.
I will do Genesis 3 support for both female and male version, but I will wait for the release of the male version. The Genesis 3 support will require to update all GenX add-ons, so I don't want to do this twice in a short time. I haven't investigated in depth, but I don't expect major problems to transfer morphs from/to Genesis 3 with GenX. Transferring automated adjustments for joints may be a bit tricky, and of course Genesis 3 expressions based on the face joints will not be transferrable.
There will be no GenX3 plugin, but there probably will be an update for GenX2 to deal with some new features of Genesis 3.
I am wondering if there is more to the creation of this plugin to transfer to G3 than D3D thought and that's why it is taking so long? I have been putting off transfering to G2 because I wanted to do G3 instead and waiting for this plugin and the stable release of DS 4.9 but it would be nice to know if this is still going to happen or if GenX has reached the end of the line due to the changes of G3
lost morphs after reinstallI guess for the past (since I upgraded to 4.9) when I go to Save as > Morph Asset(s) it dont save to my data folder... Everything Ive saved since I have upgraded is missing....
My question is.. Where is it, if not in my data folder?
lost morphs after reinstallI formatted my computer because it was getting really bad. After reinstalling my library there's about 16 morphs missing from my Genesis 2. All of them were made after 4.9
How can I get them back?
This morph list has a whole bunch of morphs missing....
V3 Base Magnet FitsThey do work in DS, but I don't think they're needed as "Transfer Active Morphs" should do the job.
Morphtransfer in DS4 for legacy figures??? It is still there??? where, please?
(And yes, Poser magnets translate quite well into being DazStudio DFormers)
It still works for .cr2 clothing on .cr2 figures.
Oh niiiiiiiiiiice!
(right click and there it is?)
Yes, right-click on the character.
