  • How to Fit or Re-fit these items?

For the male gun belt you could create a morph - you might be able to do it with DForms, or you might need to use an external modelling application and import with Moprh Loader Pro. For the female belt you could adjust the mesh so it was fitting as you wanted on the zeroed figure, hide everything but the gun belt,  export, import and use the Transfer Utility to rig it. Either would involve some mesh manipulation, at least.

  • Clothes don't fit properly in DAZ

The morph for the clothing has to be used on the clothing. So you load the clothing onto the figure, then import the obj from MD and use it as a morph on the clothing you loaded earlier.

  • GENESIS 3 Iray Smart Converter And Advanced Managers (Commercial)

Hello FusionLA, thank you for this very nice feedback :)

Concerning your question : I have not bought the product, so sadly I cannot test on it.

But indeed if you try to run the script on the geograft elements directly, it will not work.

If you absolutely want to use the Genesis 3 converter, one thing that I would try is to run the smart converter on the Genesis figure 3 itself (with the legacy UV), and then I would use the file of folder "06 Geograft transfer", named "G2 V3DC !Mgrs Transfer Anatomy", in order to copy the skin settings (not the maps, only the settings) from the torso to all geograft elements. I have some limits I had to set to the type of elements being treated, but if the geograft has a skeleton (is a figure, has bones) and is parented to Genesis 3, then it should appear in the list of the elements to which you can copy the skin settings. If it does not work, if the geograft elements do not appear in the list you can transfer, it will probably be because the geograft is not set as a figure or not parented, but this is one line to modify in my script (I think).

BUT You mentioned the longer route, and that is what I would recommend : if you have the Genesis 2 version of the converter, to use it on Genesis 2, save your material preset, and then go on with the load on Genesis 3 with the legacy UVs. The reason I recommend using the Genesis 2 converter for this case is that the material settings are optimal for the types of textures sets that DAZ and the various PAs have been using for Genesis 2. The Genesis 3 textures sets present different general characteristics, and the Genesis 3 converter is not optimal for Genesis 2 texture sets, only for the Genesis 3 ones (lol otherwise the product would not exist).

I hope this helps, just let me know :)

  • Clothes don't fit properly in DAZ

You could use Morph Loader Pro to load the original shape as a morph, if you enable Reverse Deformations in the options (click the triangle next to the morph file name) that should just load the difference ebtween the desired shape and the shape you have. The problem is that you have a double approximation - first subtractring the shape to get back to the base shape, then projecting the morphs you used back into the clothing.

I tried loading the file as a morph, while using my figure as the Geometry.

However, it shows" geometry did not match failed to create morph" error . Am i doing something wrong?

  • mcjAddSphereMorphLite - Morph anything into a sphere

unfortunately this script acts on the whole selected figure or object geometry

it was written very fast so i didnt add bells and whistles

i have a script named mcjAddRadialMorph (also see the one named mcjAddStretchMorph)

which can "push" a subset of a figure vertices onto a Cylindrical "wall"

but by applying some of the built-in special effects, you could get it to push them against a conehead "dome"

    https://sites.google.com/site/mcasualsdazscripts4/mcjaddradialmorph

if your vertices are not too dense and placed along layers, you could also use the standard effect and push each layer against a circle

since you'd get 1 morph per layer, you could adjust each ring very easily

i remember now how i used mcjAddStretchMorph to modify Genesis2's behind to conform to Yanet Garcia's

Very cool! Would this work on items of clothing? I've got some V4 clothing that lost its sphericality on transfer to G3F. So I'm wondering -- could this work on just the head area of a space helmet, for example, to restore it to its globular shape, while keeping the neck area unmorphed?

Hi I am curious. is there any reason the male figure you wish to animate, in carrara, Has to be G3??? Is there some specific G3 only, character morph or clothing set that is crucial to your carrara animation and is preventing you from proceeding??

the Eddie character included with g3m base is perfect for one of my story characters. face has the perfect attitude, young rebellious punk  lol

  • Shoes morphs help

OK, that is weird. When you are bending, you are letting go of the paramater not just scrubbing back and forth? When the morph is not working, if you click the gear icon on the slider and select Parameters Settings is the bend listed as a controller at the bottom? Does opening and closing that dialogure reestablish the link with the bend as dialing in the morph does?

Yes, Bend listed as controller of this morph.

Opening and closing Parameter Setting has no effect.

Maybe i should record a video, for more information?

So i just need To search some tutorials about the texturing... (if you ve got one in your bag...:p ) Ty. I can purchase the bundle now ! Thanks again. Your community is cool...;)

  • Bring on the Boys 3D Content Reviews

My only criticism of the display format is that I wish the text were darker, so it would be easier to read. Beyond that, the magazine style layout seems to flow well and you've packed in a lot of helpful information.

(Not sure I've actually run into the seams problem with Gray that you have, though. Have to check. I did the reverse of what you did and used the textures and not the morph, because I needed something for M3D Jesse, which is a morphs only package. I did wind up using one of the diffuse presets from Beautiful Skin Iray to make his texture color in Iray a bit livelier. I used an Amazing Skins preset to render him in 3Delight, so I actually have no idea what his default Subsurface looks like. As far as Iray goes, Gray is, to put it mildly, aptly named; I wonder if maybe he got put out right at the transition between 4.8 and 4.9 so that his reflectance tint is wrong? Didn't think to check that, as far as I can recall.)

  • Secrets of Poke-Through (Smoothing & Collision Detection)?

Does the G3F under the clothes have Displacement on the skin surfaces? Are you rendering in 3Delight or Iray? If that's the problem, then it isn't a Mesh Smoothing glitch after all, it's the Displacement.

One other possibility, it isn't the Smoothing Iterations parameter on its own you should be tweaking, use the Collision Iterations as well. I've sometimes had to play around a bit until I get values that work, and note that there's no such thing as a One True Value — every combination of clothes and figure morph will be different, and sometimes the pose will have an effect as well.

  • Secrets of Poke-Through (Smoothing & Collision Detection)?

Preview is not showing everything. For example, you don't see displacement. A shader can have displacement value which will create "poke" when rendering.

Don't put high value in Smoothing. Smoothing is in fact making the mesh more and more flat until it has no shape anymore. Beyond 8, it's often worse.

A quick (and dirty) way to avoid poke is to add a "push modifer" to your object (the cloth):

Select the object (for example SuperHose cloth), and go to menu Edit / Geometry / Add Push Modifier...

The object will be much "thicker". You go in your parameters panel , you will find a new category "Push Modifier", try a 0.1 value for example. It's often enough to avoid poke, but not too much thick to be weird.

    -

Some cloths are made with a custom morph to "push" their boundaries.

    -

If your character is very "difficult" (a crazy custom shape like for example a Dwarf or a Monster with a scaly skin), you will need to use DFormer or to create a custom morph for the cloth with a tool like ZBrush (it's not that horrible once you have learn the workflow to export, touch and reimport to create a morph).

Do i need To load manually every textures ? I want to create some "manga" Characters but the head morph in genesis 3 change just the mesh. He keeps his pilosity... I need to modifiate the texture in an other software too? I want to buy the anime manga bundle but i want to understand everything because it is very expensive... Here i finish... Once again, please Forgive me for my english... my parents told me to go To school rather than play football... Thanks To all

Yes and no. I lost being able to follow you as soon as you suggested transferring a morph for Genesis to AikoToon3.

Nope. It looks like I'll just have to find another way and use the original AT3 model for slimmer characters. This has gotten annoying and overcomplicated. It's too bad the makers never got back to me.

  • Where exactly is S4 ?

They were seperate morph packs you had to purchase. Victoria 4.2 didn't release with them as they were created later.

    http://www.daz3d.com/aiko-4-base

    http://www.daz3d.com/stephanie-4-elite-base

If you don't have either of these you might want to buy one of the bundles. Right now there's a sale Victoria is ready for summer (might be over but the advertisement is still up). It's buy any new release over $1 get up to 3 Victoria 4 products for 80% (picked from the advert catagory page).

  • Using Poser v4 Dynamic Clothes in Daz?

Of course you can. It's just another prop without weight or skeleton.

Poser format clothing and props load directly and nicely in Daz Studio btw.

You just need to rig the Poser dyna cloth 'prop' using Transfer Utility, onto Daz character of your choice.
