The Fun Gun War Poses appear to be distraught https://www.daz3d.com/fun-gun-war-poses-for-genesis-8

Lots of missing images, and error messages that pop up as a result. Also, on the daz3d.com/shop storefront itself, the main image for those poses is just showing the Victoria's exploding head logo as a placemarker. They also have a missing/broken image inside the cart, with just the alt-text where the image should be.

Also, the Milawa 8 product link is missing its image on https://www.daz3d.com/the-2020-pc-plus-sale, and also just showing the exploding head logo placeholder image. Weirdly, she's completely missing a link on the main storefront to her own page -- there's nothing at all below the banner for her, and also no link for the Cyberpunk Mission bundle below the banner, either.

I am very, very disappointed there is no Nofretete for Twosret 8.  I am pretty sure copyright to her likeness has expired.

@nonesuch00   I know Daz doesn't apply different discounts in the basic store, based on amounts spent, as I get the same discounts everyone else does unless it's a purple banner. They pulled the entire store promos offline about an hour ago, for everyone. The cart that I posted went wonky shortly after, with some other folks who have a lot of products reporting the same problems. 

The second coupon isn't working for me either, just like everyone else (the one where you get 10 things for 90% off.)  Jack has started a new thread over in Commons because so much is broke. This is a Daz nightmare, and I'm just relaxed about the entire thing because I'll just do a screenshot of my cart, NOT CHECKOUT, and then ask customer support how to make that cart happen as I expect those prices. I think doing a gift card (AFTER the debacle) for the exact amount and letting Daz get it somehow may be the way to go, but I'm guessing.

Customer Service is excellent at making things right, or at least that's been my experience. So my cart can wait all day and before the store turns over, if the cart still isn't right,  I'll screenshot it and file my ticket. (in addition to the promo page, so they'll be able to verify what the promo was. I know they are going to be swamped and trying to remember everything may be challenging as so many sales aren't working.

No, well that's just it. Those purple banners are different discounts for different customers according to what you've bought & how much spent. And so is whether or not you're a member of the PC+. I've had many purple discount banners offered based of having Victoria, Michael, Horse 2, and other pro and other bundles and also discounts definately based on how many pro bundles I've bought. As I pulled back from buying so many pro bundles so did the number of purple banners I received offering me discounts or other products from the DAZ Store free or with discounts and coupons. I'm not knocking it or saying it's unfair, it's essentially the same as something like S&H Greenstamps and other such customer reward programs, just that they do do that and now, fixing it to all be the same in the new database, well might be a few days before they figure out the logic in the new database to fix all that. It's more than raw data, it's database code and website code that can be a mess to port correctly to the new store.

Example, I just got a DAZ Deals email with lots of MartinJFrost's great flowers for sale that I've been slowly accummulating as they go on sale at the DAZ sale prices I've come to expect for those flower products that are DOs (eg tulip, christmas rose/lenten rose/allium and so on) but then as I add them to my cart the prices are either double the price I'm getting in the DAZ Deal emails and some are even more as in full price. Much more is in play with the prices we get then just a yes or no as to whether or not we are Platinum Club Plus members apparently or it'd be fixed easily by now.

There are bend control morphs for G3F & G8F that work for the glutes, hips, and legs. Victoria 8 also has some natural bend morphs as well. Don't ask me to reference the specific products because right now I have a render going and at present, ZERO products show up for me in the Daz Shop in my browser since the new "update" to their website....

One small issue is that the sorting of filters seems a bit different now. For example figures is ordered.

So the most popular filter categories like Genesis 8 (or 3) female often don't appear normally (you can still see it if you type it in manually). 

The morph looks like P3D Duffy.

I have recently finished a script to transfer a G8F pose to Victoria 3 (note NOT the G3F based Victoria 7), that will enable someone with V3 to download so some of the wide range of G8F poses and use them quickly on this elderly figure.

To use, load G8F and apply the desired pose. Then load V3, and run the script. Due to the rudimentary state of my scripting knowledge, the script asks that you identify the hip nodes of both G8F and V3 in the appropriate node selection combo boxes because it can't identify them automatically. Then press 'ACCEPT' for the script to run. With any luck you will be pleased with the result. It is highly likely that you will need to tweak the pose a little, but probably not much more than you would expect when applying a G8F base pose to a character.

Below are a few images. The first is G8F in the form of FWSA'S Francesca in the zero pose, and V3 has that pose applied. This is pretty close, particularly the fingers & thumbs which are less splayed than in the V3 zero pose. The outward splay of the legs and feet is less obvious in this view than a straight ahead view, but is there, and masked a little by the fact I've had to set V3 off to one side to get the right arms close together for comparison.

The next two images are V3 in the zero pose before and after the pose transfer. The G8F pose is a BBarbs freebie, 'Just Elegant 07' over on Renderosity, and is not deliberately chosen to be a good one, just one that I thought moved a large number of joints in different ways to show up problems if there were going to be any.

The final image is Blackhearted's V3 based GND2 posed using the script and is included to show it works on more than just the base figure. You will note that GND2's eyes are not moved by the script. This is because GND2 has props substituting for the V3 eyes, and the script only recognises the bones in the base figure. You will need to alter GND2's eyes manually, and with any other character with similar prothsetic parts.

Please be aware that V3 is 5 generations older than G8, and does not react well to some poses, particularly ones with large bend angles at the shoulders, elbows and hips. This script cannot get over the fundamental limitations of the base figure, however much we might wish for it to.

I have applied this script to my favourite V3 character, Jim Burton's 'Glamorous Vickie' (GV3), and due to having its own CR2 file and its own custom jcm's it's a little better at more extreme angles of bend at the hips, elbows and shoulders than the original V3 figure. It's a totally different story for the feet, though. GV3 has high heel feet modelled in, and a morph to make them flat so as to be similar to V3. Unfortunately, the bones are not moved by the flat foot morph and bending the toes when the flat feet morph is applied makes them rotate about an centre of rotation outside the feet and they distort very rapidly into disemboweling claws. When the pose is applied to the high heel feet, the feet rotate 45 degrees too far and she looks as if her ankles are broken. I will need a special script to get GV3 to look right. Edited to add: see next post but one for a GV3 specific script that corrects this problem.

I do hope it's useful to someone!

Why the underwater HDRI? Well, I like it, it justifies the swimwear and the swimwear permits you to see enough of the figure's limbs and assess that a majority of the pose transfer is sufficiently accurate to be useful.

Hi. I was having issues with Daz being unable to save scenes or renders and DIM being unable to install content, so I decided to do a complete clean reinstall. I uninstalled every piece of content and software, deleted all DAZ installed folders, and deleted Daz from the registry.

Starting with a new install of DIM, I was able to install Daz Studio 4.12 beta, Postgre SQL CMS beta, Scene Builder for Daz studio beta, and GoZ for Daz Studio beta (all 64 bit) successfully. I closed DIM, ran Daz 4.12 once, closed it, and then attempted to install content. Here's the problem: every piece of content I try to install results in "Install Failed!". Checking the log reveals the following:

I have no idea what would cause this to be unable to extract. DIM won't let me run it as administrator and as far as I can tell there is no issue with my Documents folder that would prevent me from changing files in it. Daz is essentially unusable at the moment. I have already double checked that those folders are not set to read only, and I can manually extract files to them without issue.

Ok P.S to marble's reply , I adjusted the ISO scale in Filament to almost zero as my own HDRI even without sun are powerful light source , still a zombie land, that how death people looks like , great for Halloween !

The is huge difference of setting maps for SSS and for none SSS workflow so not surprised by the result  

and even worse with dark PBR skin , so you see there is no middle Filament and skin SSS settings 

If you going to use older type maps like we do for Victoria and Michael in early days where the light was baked in the textures  you may have a nicer result 

Or you need to add a bunch of point lights and Distance light to make the stuff works better in Filament only , possible yes but not worth the all work as the result is already fine in iray without it , but just to show off , No SSS Filament same materials , the magic come from Point lights and Distance light , to have a good result with white skin like that you will need to set the Albedo much darker for white skin . For the dark skin you can use a Float color 0.15 and the add the desired tint to it without adjusting the monochrome brightness ( grayscale ) just the hue and saturation . in my case the final sRGB color was Red: 108 Green: 97 and Blue: 95 on top of a standard M8 textures that have accurate albedo brightness , as I massured it

and you can have your Filament preview without SSS , with light skin it is not that easy as it will not work in both iray and Filament , dark skin uses less Transulency due to melanin and will looks better in Filament with all the point lights.

I'm pretty sure that, however many morphs you add, DAZ clothes are going to have to stay in the computer rather than be taken out into the real world.

Some (maybe all) of the stuff you're asking for is out there. For example, Hongyu's Shirt for Victoria 7 can be unbuttoned and opened, Jeanz for Genesis 3 can be unbuttoned and unzipped. I agree that it would be good if more vendors did this.

I think it's very unlikely that anyone will find a way of transferring morphs between clothing, but there is Fit Control, which can be applied to any clothing and has some undressing-y morphs.
