..,actually just came across a nice custom morph tonight that helps.

Yes I am leaving the character pose for export and import.  This works completely fine when the figure is zeroed.  While I am trying to figure this out I am just using the subDragon.  I can do morphs no problem when I zero them.  When I put them in the standard attack pose I cant get the morphs to work.  It always seems to explode out the geometry.  If I zero out the character and then apply the same morph it will work but with some other issues like the mouth not morphing.  But I think that would be fixed once we figure out why I cant make morphs on a posed figure like I can with Hexagon.  Sorry I know I am being a pain I just figure that I must be missing something.

This is exciting! Any chance of seeing his Genesis 2 morphs any time soon? :D I have a couple of characters that depend on them but lost the files a long time ago.

I know this, i've recovered this morph because i've them and ask him the permission to repost and redistribuite. But i don't have his Genesis 2 morphs, sorry :(

After lick on download you must wait for 5 seconds, after you can click on CONTINUE and appear the page for download. Click on the the row that point down and you download the morph :)

Most of it works pretty well.

1) Load G2F and autofit Santa Baby dress, sleeves, hair, hat, and boots to G2F.

2) Load G3F and transfer outfit from G2F to G3F via "fit to". Apply smoothing modifier and a push modifier to the dress if needed.

3) Hide bottom parts of boots (as those don't transfer well) and keep the top art (the pretty furry part) visible and couple it with a different pair of boots that fit better.

4) And finally load the wrap and "parent to" G3F. The wrap doesn't work if you try to "fit to". 

So pretty much the majority of the outfit transfers well to G3F. The only issue I found was the bottom parts of the boots not fitting, so having to hide the bottom of the boots and just use the top with another pair of boots, and then the wrap that doesn't "fit to". But again, parenting the wrap seems to work ok with a few adjustments, depending on the pose. Most of the outfit seems to work pretty well though. :)

You don't need to save it in-between - just let it autoconvert onto G2F, then load G3F and change 'fit-to' from G2F to G3F.

You can also get 'Wear them all for Genesis 3 Females / Males' that has auto-fitting clones from V4/M4 all the way to G2F/M.

Saving it in between is 'insurance'...too many times I've had something happen in between, it's become second nature to just save it before the next step.

The dress, sleeves and panties transfer well, the boots and wrap don't.  Both will need lots of work.

I have a custom master dial on my Genesis figure that enslaves several body morphs.  I've been toying with the Supersuit and G-Suit, and when I try to transfer active morphs with my custom master dial turned to 1, Poser crashes.  If I dial the enslaved parameters directly, it doesn't crash, and I have a couple of other clothing items that don't seem to have this problem at all.  Is there a way I can get DSON morph transfer to work with my master dial?  Thanks in advance for any adviceǃ

One of the key reasons why G1 is still my go to figure.

If Skyler had a seperate head morph, then I would use her as the base to blend other figures in to. As it is, G2F and G3F are just too frustrating to waste my time on - unless I want a busty bimbo.

The whole realism thing isn't my schtick and G1 bends just fine for my needs.

...thank you.  As several characters in my story are rather young, and I also deal with flashbacks to younger ages. I've spent years (all the way back to the Gen4 days) perfecting a "plausible" teen and child character. . 

Even with the Growing Up morphs I still make proportion adjustments to limbs and torso for the type of physique I want.  The tough part with G3F is that I am running into the breast mesh crumpling particularly just above and in the nipple/aureola region like I did with Gen4 when downsizing breasts or flattening the chest (even with custom breast morph kits) which can also affect the look of clothing fits. Didn't have this issue in Genesis Classic or G2F. I tried using the Steph4 NPMs and Slender Stephanie morphs (Steph 6), through GenX2 but those don't seem to help much either. A bother as I feel G3 poses better.

OK. "Fit To" ? No go. I disabled "Fit To" so I could use the adjustment dials, and found that I didn't really need to use any morph dials, but by scaling it up a bit (both corset and panties) and adjusting the transformation, it fit pretty well. However, I didn't try any character morphs or poses to see how it behaved itself. I could have achieved a better fit on the waist using the built-in waist adjustments.

Okay , here is a start to one of the characters.  I used the genesis figure and used the morph dials to get the basic shape and then I did a bit of displacement painting on his face as well as painted over the face . The pants and shoes I had modeled previously , the shirt comes with carrara.

I don't mind the 3 paid items rule, but I wouldn't mind going to 5 paid items. There was a rule for a while that the core morph dial packages (the equivalents of Gen4's Morphs++) were no-count items, is that still in effect or have I lost track of things again?

I'm not as vehement about being allowed to do postwork as I used to be, but I do think what is allowed and what is not on that front needs to be spelled out as well.

Thanks for that. Was something I wasn't aware of. I was always under the assumption that presets were fine as long as the morph itself wasn't being distributed.

Pretty much done (as in almost) ...only have to do the texture for the cape and a simple morph for it... and that's it (aside from doing better looking icons and such).

There's a version of the shoulders without the cape too.

GenX2 is such a great thing. I only wish they were permitted to transfer HD morphs. I've transferred HD morphs and it seems to make a LITTLE difference, though...

 

But, yeah, it's really given me a lot of power to move morphs all over the place.

 

I just wish it wasn't so crazy expensive. In order to use the Genesis 3 genX you have to have THREE different products (Genesis Generation X2, GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2, and GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 3). All three products comes up to $63 and as far as I can tell they hardly ever go on sale - and when I have seen them go on sale since I started watching them, they don't seem to discount very deeply. I really wish there was a product that would do that without buying three different products and spending so much. Ah well, I'm sure eventually they will get a really deep discount ...maybe. lol Or maybe someone will come out with a product that will do it without having to buy two additional products. ...Maybe. lol Hey, I can dream. 

I didn't buy the base and AddOn for Gen2 until they were on sale. Seems to me it was a decent discount, but I don't remember what I paid. I bought the AddOn for Gen3 when it was a new release. I don't have any generation 3 figures, so I didn't get any of those addons. I can see how it would really add up to buy it all at once, especially if it's not on sale. But it does go on sale.

I'm definitely keeping an eye on it. I have some really stunning V4 characters that I don't really use much due to the kinking on the joints and they often just don't look as good posed as the genesis 3 figures - but I know they would look great converted to genesis 3. I'm really looking forward to it! :)

It is a lot of money, but it's probably one of the biggest bangs for your buck (IMO), because it exponentiates figures, and lets you do things just... not possible otherwise. For example, if I want to make a male figure with succubus geografts, that's normally impossible. But now I can migrate over male morphs.

It's on a relatively short list of items I use very frequently (along with Aging, big morph packs, and Anagenessis)

 

Yeah, I've heard great things about the product. I'm really looking forward to getting it (or a product that can do the same thing). :) I have some lovely V4 characters that I'd really want to be able to use - as the weird joints and kinking issues with a lot of poses makes it hard to use them without a lot of post work. I'm very much looking forward to being able to get those great looking character shapes onto G3F! :) 

Thank you for the recommendations - I do need to get the Aging morphs and Anagenesssis too. I fianlly was able to get the morph packs (at least for G3F, I still need them for G3M). I'm keeping and eye on the other products for the future. :) As I agree, I think those will go a LONG way in character creation. :)

like, the poser figure obj doesnt have normals info in it, but when exporting (to create a morph), poser adds normals info to the obj file.

I seem to recall a tutorial on here someplace for DIY morph transfers, though when I tried the eyes and mouth didn't transition so well.
