Does G3F load with navel at 100% ?
I cant remember if was doing this before, thats all
Loading G3F the shaping morph "navel" is set at 100% in Daz Studio
Where is the subdivision setting in poser 2012?Richard is correct. You can enable smoothing in Firefly and set the crease angle for the Genesis figure to 170 and it will look better rendered, but it of course will affect the entire scene. However, one can turn off smoothing for items adversly affected using SnarlyGribbly's free Scene Fixer script...
http://snarlygribbly.org/snarlyspace/legacy/scenefixer.html
If resource useage is the reason you are not bringing it in via DSON, JoePublic put together a tutorial for turning Genesis into a native Poser figure that still utilizes some of the features of the DSON importer, such as morph transfer to conformers.....
https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2874212In celebration of the, "10 click render"I think the usual problem of the "10 click insult" isn't about the result. It's about the skill. People who would attack you on the fact that it took you 10 clicks would think that if you, for example, make a tutorial on which 10 clicks to do, would transfer the knowledge easily and fast to the next user. So this next user would basically immideately acquire that "technical" skill of making a scene in DAZ. Maybe he won't have the eye of what to make, but he would have the technical skill to acquire whatever he would think of. And that doesn't really awaken respect. Like, if it's "clicks" not even some movement of sliders or positioning of stuff, if it's all just selecting the right presets, it means it's very transferrable as knowledge. And the easier one can acquire certain knowledge, the less respect people have for it.
It's basically a discussion whether your skill comes from expirience or from acquiring a certain secret. Experience people respect, secrets people just want to acquire and spread. But they don't respect you for knowing it. (Unless you have skill for acquiring most wanted secrets, but then it's not about acquiring this specific secret, but about you having the skill of acquiring any secret).
That said: I can't produce a 10-click peace, or I would feel I'm rendering someone else's work. Leave alone the amount of test renders. If I have less than two, that means I'm in a very big hurry. And spent a lot of time relying on already previously rendered items, so I can guess how they will look like. Most of the time the test renders will always reveal a forgotten plastic-y converted 3delight material to Iray, poke-through or wrongly pointed eyes.
Excuse then programmers for refraining from calling skilled 3D artists talentless hacks for not being able to write the programs they use. Or programmers for being talentless hacks for not being able to create much of the SW and HW they use, or HW engineers for being talentless hacks for not being able, nowdays, to write the SW they use to create the HW they create or even create much of the HW they use.
It's all a deck of cards that quickly collapses under the weight of its helplessness against what's really going on under the hood. Really, those complainers don't have a leg to stand on.
Updated! Mesozoic Badlands prehistoric environment and plants [commercial]Thanks for the kind words. Except the render with the sarcosuchus where I used my crocodile model with a specific morph done on purpose, all the other models are from dinoraul: dalong, microraptor, stegosaurus, nigersaurus, pteranodon, anhanguera.
I believe the Guanlong is a custom morph LMX3D and MNArtist did for another one of Dinoraul's dinosaurs. Otherwise, yeah, they're all part of Dinoraul's great collection and your lovely crocodile.
While I haven't played with it yet, I wanted to say thanks for this great Mesozoic landscape! It's especially good for the Late Jurassic, where you have yet to get the explosive evolution of magnolias, cypresses, and other more "modern America" plants that show up near the end of the Cretaceous.
HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)WORKAROUND
In summary:
1. OneClick works without problems for all users who installed DAZ Studio in the default location, which is c: drive.
2. OneClick works for those who have their content on other drives as long as their User folder is in the c:drive. Inside the User folder are two important temp files that OneClick uses:
In Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ Library/Runtime/FaceShop/fs are temp files OneClick needs to pick up texture and morph information
In Users/Username/AppData/Roaming/Abalone/HeadShop ditto.
In conclusion: If you want OneClick to work properly in a non-default Studio installation, the answer is to create a new c; Users/Public/Documents/My DAZ Library/Runtime folder on your c: drive. Place 2 folder inside: Runtime/FaceShop and People/Genesis 2 Male (and Gen 2 Female, Gen 3 Female etc.). This setup will work - I just replicated and tested.
OneClick is far from being the only application that insists on using default locations of User and other Windows 'Library' folders and it's annoying. Such applications usual create those default folders in the default location when they are missing or configured to be elsewhere. Either the newer version of OneClick should create those missing folders or it should use the registry to get the newly configured location.
HeadShop OneClick Submitted to DAZ - Best in Class! (Commercial)Did as sugested and created the directory structure you indicate (creating the structure for both .../Documents/My DAZ 3D/Library and .../Documents//My DAZ Libary incase it was not a quickly written typo). This produce the same results with the twin messages: from Morph Loader - One or more of the files had no effect. See the log for details From Headshop Loader - An unexpected error occured while creating the morph.
I tried copying the People structure to the .../Documents/People in Public to see if there was something that it needed. No difference in error.
The log looks like this:

I wil continue to play with the directory structure to see at what point the product works.
Meanwhile, I found the product works great on my laptop. Yah!! It is just really, really, really slow.
Thanks for the great product and for working dilegently to make it work for the infinite variations of computer installs.
Export one morph from zbrush to daz while using more than one dazWhen I export one morph using one zbrush and to one daz it work perfectly but when I open other daz it stops working. I can't export the morph I made to daz. There is a way to use one zbrush and one daz exporting morphs from zbrush to daz while using more than one daz?
Thanks!
Infinite Insanity - There's ALWAYS Another Sale! (Daily Sale Talk)A couple more nice deals from yesterday's sale:
1. Anything from Aave's store qualifies for the bean bag chair, including some PC+ items that I somehow missed. Love her stuff, wish I could afford to buy the whole store. She's got a nice range of prices and variety of items in there. Some of the morph poses are 3.99, and even less when discounts kick in.
2. Keiko Manga bundle is deeply discounted with any new release from yesterday. The Holiday Rewards banner discounts that new release even more. Use a coupon on top of it and really save some $$$. And there's a LOT of stuff in that Keiko bundle!

Does anyone know? Button "Base Joint Correctives"I don't have the tool, but I don't believe the developer kit does anything you can't do without it - it isn't like the HD morph loader. It's just a convenience, not a necessity.
I want to make morphs for V4 in Maya, how do I do that efficiently?I thought this had come up fairly recently, but a search isn't finding it. As I recall there's an option to import into Maya without splitting groups, but an alternative (for morph creation) is to uncheck the option to include groups when exporting from DS.

I believe that actually sums up the core of the debate without being flippant or dismissive, and giving those who wish to really think on the subject a little bit deeper than, "it's art because you can't define art" something to consider.
Free Anatomical Elements Prop for G2M:I'm not sure what you mean by "What's g2 props doing on a g3 morph?", do you mean "Why is a g2 character being sold with a g3 character, like alien x and lee?". Otherwise i'm not sure what you mean, you can't use a g2 geograft on a g3 character, the topology is completely different.
That's my point. I know you can't use the g2 geografted props on the g3, and yes, with just a little examination of what I asked. But no, I understand they are making the character for two model types in the product, I just figured someone would see that and point it out a little less technically. I know the technical terms you're both using, but I'm novice myself (albeit perceptually intelligent and read in the software material) so I'm trying to word it from "our" perspective if any other's show up to view these posts. Not everyone is technically savvy, or schooled on this software. So 'geografted' and 'topology', might fly over their heads. Glad you are so adept in the proper termanology, and I'm sure the frequent users of the programs will see you are, by your wording.
I gather the choice on the alien x is a fleeting one, and said I'd consider it. I realized from the suggestion by, Redz, I'd be saving the Lee 6 price. Thank you for the post, but no one was confused but, Redz, momentarily.

Help Requested With G3F Export to IC6Later...
The shrunken teeth issue is solved, sort of. The "Realistic Mouth" morph must be set to zero before exporting. But there is another morph I can't find, something that is part of the default. Zeroing the figure takes care of it. I will say this export utility is no ball of fire. I am considering letting the process run overnight.
Beard morphs now export wonderfully. They are the main reason I would like to succeed at exporting.
DAZ characters lose there sharp, crisp facial characteristics when they are imported into 3DX. This, I assume, cannot be helped. I am waiting to see what iClone's new "Pro Facial System" is all about. Facial detail and expression are the second reason I would like to see exporting work out.
So far, so good.

Guess I completely misinterpreted what exactly you're looking for? It's not crystal clear in your OP. I assumed you wanted anatomical elements for G2M.
You read me correct. I do want that, but if you saw the tail end I'm lacking the g2f counter piece as well.
I'll consider the buy on the alien x, even though scifi isn't my thing. I just thought you might know that as well.PS
What's g2 props doing on a g3 morph?
I think we could all do with clearing some things up here. Redz was suggesting you pick up alien x to get lee pro 6 for free. The point is not alien x, the point is that you can get lee pro (which is normally around $100) for free, which is a wise decision. This is a timed offer, and offers tend to come and go quite quickly, so you'll have to consider it in a short space of time. You can worry about a G2f counterpart later, i'm sure you can wrangle some sale or other to get what you need.

Genesis 3 to Unreal 4 now super easy. Are
animate2
keymate
Graphmate
Worth the investment?
Also have any of you used the Decimator
Hi for character animation
within Daz studio in general,
All of the Plugins you mentioned are a worthwhile investment
.
There is however one caveat in the context of using a strictly Daz Genesis3 based workflow
As already mentioned ,after a fashion,
Any Character motions created for non G3 Daz Figures Including
The"Millenium4" Figures & Genesis versions 1 & 2 cannot be directly used on Genesis 3 Due to Radicially different rigging. There are two really useful Daz studio Solutions for retargeting Such motions to G3.
one a commercial script by vendor "Draagonstorm"
and an excellent freebie by a user named "ZAZ777"Both require that you apply your motions to the donor figure initially
(Mike ,Vicky,G1,G2 etc).
You must then load G3 and run the script to transfer the motion frame by frame automaticly.I want to make morphs for V4 in Maya, how do I do that efficiently?Long story short, I either go into my runtime or export out from DAZ studio the obj's for V4 and then take them into Maya where I see that V4 is split up into dozens of pieces.
I mean, I just want to make some alterations to V4's geometry in Maya (my preferred base modelling tool) and ferry that back over to V4 in the form of a morph. What's an efficient way to do that? Am I able to somehow get V4 into Maya as a contiguous mesh?
