Toon Generations Mega-Bundle for Genesis 8 Male(s) and Female(s)
I paid a lot of money for this bundle https://www.daz3d.com/toon-generations-mega-bundle-for-genesis-8-males-and-females even though I already owned https://www.daz3d.com/toon-generations-4-mega-bundle-for-genesis-8 purely because it stated:
- Individual dials for head and body shapes in case you wish to use them seperately
Where are these dials? I want to use the body with an anime head from https://www.daz3d.com/anime-faces-for-genesis-8-female. As I previousl said. I PAID A LOT OF MONEY for this product and to add insult to injury, it was on a masive sale TWO hours after I bought it and I can't find the option that had me purchase this product.
Most vendors will have "add body, remove body. Add head, remove head. This product DOES NOT. I have spent so much time scrolling though the various "morph" options in the shaping and Parameter tabs it is not funny, but is very stressful. Just trying to find what has been advertised in the product description. If something is adveretised in the product description, IT SHOULD BE EASY TO FIND.
AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO? PARTE QUATTORDICIDomanda:

What is the error? That is just a relative file path. If it's a missing file it is most likely that a character you have isntalled on that macine but not the othe has a reference to the file, and so is complaining - the log file (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File) should tell you what is triggering the warning.
I think the more pertinent question might be why they're getting an error about a G2 item when loading a G8.
If it's a "missing DSF" error then it's going to be bad "parent" data in one of the dsf files in G8M's morphs folder, you have installed a morph package/character on one machine but not on the other, and one of the files from that product either doesn't belong in the product, or the creator messed up their product.
As for it being a G2 item being called in G8, that's not a surprise to me, I've seen enough G8 morph assets with G3 parent data to know anyone can mess up when they take "shortcuts".

Heya RiverSoftArt,
Came across a problem that's going to make me (at least for now) stop using the G9 loader:
2024-05-04 20:51:04.135 [INFO] :: facs_cbs_BIUL_BDL 2024-05-04 20:51:04.135 [DEBUG] :: Enabling data/Daz 3D/Genesis 9/Base/Morphs/Daz 3D/FACS/facs_cbs_BIUL_BDL.dsf 2024-05-04 20:51:04.136 [DEBUG] :: data/Daz 3D/Genesis 9/Base/Morphs/Daz 3D/FACS/facs_cbs_BIUL_BDL.tlOff NOT FOUND. 2024-05-04 20:51:04.140 [DEBUG] ::The above error pops off every time I try to use Merge into Scene on any G9 character. And by "pops," I mean that same bit of code runs until I force close Daz Studio, or it crashes (around 5 minutes or so).
I think I fixed this once before, but it always reoccurs. That morph (and all the basic FACs ones) are enabled, executed, saved in the configuration, etc. It can't find the .tlOff... because it's on. And Turbo Loader, by every method I have to see what it knows... knows that it's on/active.
If I disable it manually, it will load one character, and if I forget (like I always do because it's a thing I always want... which is why I turned it on...), I am harshly reminded by the impending crash/force-close. I have way fewer G9 morphs, so it's not a huge inconvenience to just turn them all on and stop using TL for now, but I figured this time... I'd actually say something since it kinda broke my flow state, and I remembered to come say something about it, lol. Can't fix what we don't know is broken I guess. Somehow, only that loader has this error, though G3 and G8 are both running fine, and I set them all up the same way (and G3 and G8 each have exponentially more morphs to go through compared to G9 for me at the moment).
Hopefully, this gets fixed or whatever I'm doing wrong comes out before my G9 library catches up :)
Edit: Oh! DIM install, According to DIM I have the latest version (13 October 2023). No Connect anything anywhere (because I dislike it personally). And as I mentioned, it's just this loader, G3 and G8 from the same date work just fine (and a lot!).
I will have to investigate.

@Cliffborne Batch Install in Content Wizard is really for Batch Installing products without smart content.
When using Content Wizard, you will notice that installing Smart Content requires some "hand holding" for each individual product. First, you need to make sure the product(s) folder structure is in the correct Daz file structure format, and rebuid any zips that are not.
Then, after clicking "Analyze", almost all 3rd-party products will have several instances of Black Triangles and other issues. You will need to manually fix incorrect categories (especially for poses), make sure products have the correct icons, check compatibilities, deselect morph files, etc.
Therefore, you can't really perfect the Batch Install with Smart Content functionality, as there are so many different variables with an endless variety of products. Maybe @RiverSoft Art could add a simplified version of Smart Content for Batch Install, where you simply select only a single overall category from a drop-down menu for each individual product you are batch installing. (Example: Cars go to Transportation, Clothing goes to Wardrobe, etc.). Doing it this way, you would end up with some items in the incorrect categories, but all items for a particular product, such as a dress (hat, boots, materials, etc.), would end up together in the same category in Smart Content, and you can always re-categorize later in Daz Studio.
Content Wizard provides a much needed service for 3rd-party products, and it does work like magic, but that said, for best results, it still needs some individual care when adding Smart Content.
Thank you for the extra help @robertswww
[Released] Content Wizard [Commercial]@Cliffborne I don't think there is a unified guide to fixing errors encountered in Content Wizard. Most of the problems have a solution listed somewhere in this thread, but currently at 46-pages long, it can take a lot of time to find all the solutions.
Sometimes you can find answers in the Content Wizard User Manual.pdf which you can find either inside Daz Studio (once CW is installed), or open the CW product folder and look in the Scripts sub-folder and drill-down until you see it.
Daz Content Wizard Documentation:
http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/67507/startI did compile a list of some of the most common Errors and Solutions, as follows...
Black Triangle with a Red Exclamation Mark:
Uncheck all the Morph files and UV Sets (+Weblinks, Templates, etc.) in the Smart Content tab, as they are not needed for creation of Smart Content. No User Facing Files Where Found In The Product:
Fix the error by Unpacking and Re-Zipping the product folder with the same folder structure and names as Daz uses.FILE EXISTS error:
Clear the working directory (temp directory you set the path to in CW)... Restarting CW should also empty it.There were errors during installation:
Remove any Templates.zip files from your list of product Zip files you imported into CW (under the Product tab).Error creating metadata for Daz Studio:
Make sure you have Runtime and Support folders inside your save location
(Example: DAZ CONTENT/3rd-Party/My DAZ 3D Library/Runtime/Support/)Hope that helps :)

The hair is giving me an "Oops" page when I tried opening the link in the first post, so I went to XYZ's store front and the hair is no longer showing up. XYZ has some great looking hairs but none of them have any morphs, when I bought the Naturally Curly Hair I was extremely let down with the fact that there were ZERO morphs to help with hair posingbefore the simulation. I want all the hair to be completely behind the shoulders? Too bad, figure it out yourself, lol. I made a thread about it https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/651261/need-help-with-creating-a-hair-morph-for-xyz-natural-curly-hair and eventually figured it out but it looks like XYZ still doesn't supply any morphs...
Make sure to always check the 'What's Includedand Features' section on the product's store page before buying. All the morphs, materials, poses etc. that come with the product are required to be listed down there.
Should be, but aren't always... if you want to be doubly sure, you can click on the blue "Read me" link next to the SKU, and see what total presets are included. If you're a bit crazy like me, you may even scroll down to the "Additional Details" on the readme page and click on the file list to see all the shapes/corrections/maps included. Sometimes that gives clues to a product being well made/amount of files/etc, or maybe requires other products to work, or misnamed or have ID conflicts you want to avoid. It just depends on how picky you might be. Ha.
MRL dForce Long Morphing Hairs Shooting Outward?I have used MANY dForce hairs, but I never ran into this issue. No matter how many times I run simulations, or even if I set the gavity to max and reistance to none, these hairs on my succubus still shoot out like she has static electricity lol Now, I can double my renders of her, one iwth hair visible and one with her bald, and photoshop, but you know me, I am always hopeful to find ways around Daz bugs. Anyone know how to fix hair issues like this? The morph sliders also fo not help as it is apparently not fly aways, but the main hair.

I'm not sure what the point of un-rigged converted hair is.
It has one morph only: expand. No styles, no movement, no adjustment, no base shapes support. The best can be said is "It is capable of simulating but requires multiple attempts to adjust the simulation parameters." which basically boils down, "Try your luck with simulation settings on your own to figure out some parameters because none are included!"
A lot of hair in the store is like this lately- badly converted and or lacking morphs entirely. I've passed up a LOT of hair purchases for that reason. Or returned hair that was unreasonably broken (wind should not pull the hair right ouf the scalp, for example!) Thankfully there are still some PAs with high quality hair, and dhair that has rigging as well as morphs and simulation settings. I just got some from Chevybabe, AprilYSH, Toyen, and OOT recently. No regrets there!
Thank you for addressing that qualification that the promos have listed. I read it on the first hair that showed up in the store and backed away. Then I saw other ones arrive and wondered what was up with it. To the point, I am not buying any of them, no matter how cute or possibly useful the hair could be. Sticking to known artists with proven records of quality.
reset / fix libraryYou need to understand how the system works.
At first one has just the base figure, for example Genesis 8 Female.
The base figure has very little morphs to start with. One can the buy additional morphs (Characters or morph packs), which will be picked up and added to the figure when loading the figure or when opening a previously saved scene.
One can see these morphs as dials in the Parameters Tab
If some of those morphs have been saved as Morph Asset with a non-zero default value, the morph will be active on every Character one loads to the scene and even every previously saved scene that uses the same base figure (for example Genesis 8 Female)The Characters are not changed in any way, it is just the morph (or Character) that has been saved as a Morph Asset with a non-zero default value that is being applied to every Genesis 8 Female based Character and one either needs to remove that morph (or Character) or set it's default value to zero (in the actual morph file)
If you still are suffering from the problem, it means you still have the morph installed in a place where DS can find it.
Which base figure are you using?

The problem is most likely that you save a morph (or a property linking several morphs) with a non-zero default value, so it loads with that value every time you load the figure.
You will need to modify that morph or property to set its default value to zero again, and then resave the modified asset.
Fixing the face seems manageable. The body, however, needs more work. I'm not sure where to begin with that.
But wouldn't redoing the morphs create even more problems if the issue lies with the main character used in new character itself? Or should I perform this process on the base Genesis 8 character?

The easy fix is to remove the morph you created and all the morphs that were saved in the folder that you named and created when saving the first ever morph as support asset.
The location of the folder is: \Data\DAZ 3D\[Base Character]\Female\Morphs\[Name of your folder]\Saving as Support Asset is NOT for saving dialed up characters, it is meant for saving morphs that one created by one self in some modelling program.
If one wants to save a dialed up character, memorize the figure first and then save it as a Scene Subset or a character preset.Thx. I deleted the ".duf" files associated with the new character (there weren't any other morph files present). However, this didn't resolve the issue. Since my library is located on a separate drive, I went ahead and deleted the entire "Daz3D" folder within the "data" directory. Unfortunately, this also didn't help, even though the new character itself was saved on the C drive in this location.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Genesis 8 Essential proved unsuccessful as well.
Interestingly, the modification dates on most characters within the folder "D:\Daz3D\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female\Morphs" indicate they haven't been changed recently. This suggests it's unlikely that individual characters were overwritten.
While reinstalling the female characters (which are thankfully a limited number) wouldn't be a huge task, I'm unsure if it would actually fix the problem. Probably not, because I tried reisntaling one of character.
where those morphs files? :<
Royal Eastern Dragon 2 [commercial]As for morphs, I can think of 2 types, more morphs for the head, so you can have evil or beautiful or cute, as for the second morph, is it possible to do one that lets you use it like the one's in the parades, with people under it and the troupe run around with it to look like a living dragon.

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG ? ( OR NOT DOING ! )You haven't told us how you are shaping - if you are using third-party morphs they should have the required JCMs, at least if they come from Daz (and assuming something hasn't broken them). If you are using custom morphs made in a modeller, or using dForms in DS, you need to make your own JCMs. If you are using third-party morphs, exporting the shape as OBJ, and loading as a new morph, you need to stop doing that as you are breaking all sorts of things.
