Clothing Rigging Issue
Okay. I've been working on this outfit for DAZ3D and Poser. I've managed to get everything modeled. I worked around issues of rigidity, coloring, texturing, and more. And I'm so close to completion that I can taste it. And now...I've wound up with another problem. >:[
I've used DAZ3D's transfer utility to rig and weight map everything. And for the most part, it worked out perfectly. Except for one serious glitch.
There's a problem in the crotch area that shows up whenever I most the thighs. I'm including imagery of the affected area; an image of how it looks in the default pose, an image of the transfer utility settings I'm using, and one of the distortion that I'm getting. So if anybody can offer any suggestions on what I can do about this mess, I'd really appreciate it.
(Also, I hope me showing images focusing on the crotch area doesn't qualify as obscene content. This is just where I'm having the problem and nothing I do seems to help.) :(
I need Martin Luther urgentlyNever used them, but Predatron made a monastery, low resolution monk, monk robes and monk hair. Here is the bundle. There are a ton of facial morphs for the monk, like Face_Enzio, Face_Francesco, Face_Frederico. No specific Luther morph, but maybe one of them will be close. It might be a good place to start. If it doesn't work for you, you can always return it.
I need Martin Luther urgentlyHi, are there anywhere clothes and morphs to create a Martin Luther? We have 500 years Luther and i want to do some renders with him and i can't still find a Martin-Luther-Morph, Hair and clothes!
Star Trek Builders Unite 7: The Continuing MissionVery good likeness. If you can add some contour and depth the his cheeks and get some of his wrinkles in there, you'll be spot on.
.Tickering still with the morph from FaceGen. Found a hair that I like that I think suits the character. Thoughts?
Are unimesh fits required anymore? Thanks! That's what I thought. I skipped buying a lot of unimesh fits for V4. So, I'm glad I didn't bother. The clothes all seem to work fine on G3F.
Just rememeber though if you want to use v4 or m4 clothing on feak 4 , A4 , or Hiro 4 you will need the unimesh fits in order to use them the auto-fit tool does not work for generation 4 figures so unimesh fits are still usefull for the older generations
"Transfer active morphs" function does work on generation 4 figures, it's simply not automatic like for Genesis figures.
Are unimesh fits required anymore?you can also use Morphing Clothes by D3D,
Is that really needed by DAZ or Poser these days?. I am pretty sure the newer versions of both have "Transfer Active Morphs" that moves morphs to conformed clothing even on older models like M4/V4. This software was an aid for older versions of the software, but surely it is redundant now?, or am I missing something.
whatz the avg response time to a hello image?the main point of the project, he and she load into carrara without the crashie bit.

face rigging intactyou'd need DS to swap uvs sets.
you'd need DS to convert g3 hair and clothes to blended (works for muscle cars too)
!!** no guarantees they'll work with every outfit, hair, morph, and/or pose set **!!Are unimesh fits required anymore?"Transfer active morphs" function enables you to have clothes auto-follow morphs even on M4/V4, so they're technically not required.
But custom crafted morphs will usually give you better results than auto-follow.
Pre-made characters vs. morphs, which should purchaseif I'm wanting to create a custom character is it better to buy the premade characters, like victoria7 and then customize them or get the morph dials to change the genesis 3 to fit the need?
I've purchased some packs and know you can slihglty tweek and add features to victoria 7, like changing skin or body type slighlty if you have other characters purchased. and i've purchased some morphs to tweek the face further, but wondering what i should invest in more.
Thanks
Secret GemsWant to try it. Scared of all the help threads I see posted. I feel burned by LAMH which is NOT on my gems list as much as I'd like it to be.
I've had issues with that one too and need to dive back into it. I picked up Garibaldi very cheaply as well, but that looks like it has its own learning curve too.
Garibaldi and GenX2 are my biggest regret buys. I had to delete everything I did with GenX2 because the transferred morphs somehow "infected" the base G3F figure and left her strangely disfigured (someone mentioned that the culprit might be the Beautiful Bends morph set but I haven't dared try it again since I deleted all the transfers).
On the plus side, I get a lot of use from:
- Wear Them All
- Iray Ghost Lights
- Pose Converter(s)
- Ageing, Vascularity and and Growing Up from Zev0
- JG IRay shaders
- UHT2 Hair Shaders
- Too many OOT items to list
oh this is driving me crazy can someone please help meThe artist seems to use the same girl in a lot of his more recent work. The skin is https://www.daz3d.com/sc-sally-for-genesis-3-female, sometimes a self-modified variation with tattoos it seems. I don't think the morph itself is default Sally, or if it has any Sally at all.
Help with FaceGenFound a second Export tab in Facegen which I'd missed before - and after setting path to H:\My DAZ 3D Library, the file was correctly generated and morph successfully created for Genesis.
I still want to clean up my DAZ installations so DAZ isn't pulling from so many different directories- but will do that another day on a separate thread (though advice on how to do so is welcome)
Problem at rendering with Victoria 7Maybe the expression is setting the morph - though if so the master slider should appear in Currently Used (unless it's on the head, I suppose, in whichc ase you would need to see it there). Presumably the Victoria 7 shape is also listed as Currently Used? Click the gear icon on its slider, then select Parameter Settings, and look in the Controller tab at the bottom of the dialogue - what is listed?
Splitting moveable parts of a single figure? Is it still usign parametric rigging or have you set it up with weight-mapped rigging? If it's still paramtetric, import the original into Figure Setup from the scene, then import the stripped-down OBJ into the geometry panel there and replace the original geometry with it, remove the unneeded bones, change the name, check the modify seelcted figure option at bottom left, and click the big button (I can't recall its label in the modify mode) to create a new, simplified figure. If it's weight-mapped try using the Transfer Utility to rig the reduce mesh.

I think he'd look a little bit better with some more scruff on him. He reminds me of the video game version of him that was in the game that came out around the same time as Into Darkness. Good likeness on both versions though.
Putting Clothes on Stonemason's Prototype robotNever heard of that technique. I don't see 'transfer' in the utilities menu.
Where is that?
He also doesn't take (Gen 3) poses. How the heck did stone mason expect us to pose this figure? lol
Putting Clothes on Stonemason's Prototype robotDAMMMMNNNIOIIITTT!!!!
What to do?
Thanks
you could try using the transfer utility to rig original clothing to the specific rigging for it.
Serious asymmetry problem, is Aiko6 an incomplete product? This time I found JCMAiko6ThighSideSideL on the left shin but NO JCMAiko6ThighSideSideR on the right. It's another problem that cannot be explained as an intended design.
Morph manager is only for showing the problem. I have search the file in word pad.

What's wrong with Genesis 3 hands? Is that the full grouping? I'm just wondering if it's a clone only shape, not a true morph - is it a hidden property (greyed in the list) which you see only with Show Hidden properties on in the pane's option menu?
