The sales conditions need some clarification. The second blurb says:

The exclusion stated in line 6 for line 2 contradicts the inclusion in line 5. Then way down at the bottom, the same symbol has a different set of exclusions.

¥ Discount excludes new releases and PC+ Items.

I just want to thank all those who were involved in the creation the new DAZ CENTRAL.application.  In a word, it's fantastic!  It makes everything so much easier, especially for New Users.Congrats on a job well done.

@cosmicdawnseries, you just validated what I've thought all along. Nobody will care if the animation is Disney level, completely amateur, or anywhere in between if there is an interesting story and something better to care about. A few seconds in, I was immersed and agreed to be transported to wherever the story was going to take me. I think the true job of the animation is simply to not break the agreement previously made between the storyteller and the viewer: "OK, suspend your disbelief, engage your imagination, work with what I'm presenting, and I'll tell you a story that is worth your time."

BTW, I won't give away any of the plot, but I loved the growing intensity in the narrarator's read as the central conflict was revealed.

I followed my usual process with Yuliana: select the zips, grab a thumbnail off Renderosity and add it, fill in the name/artist/store/product id fields, then click Analyze Content, then Install Content, then Install Smart Content. I don't believe that I entered any weird values or selected any unusual options that might have made things go strange.

I am struggling with this one.  Nothing is jumping out at me.  Sorry.

 

I lost all my G8F smart content late last week. I was not using CONTENT WIZARD.

The only change I made before I lost the G8F smart content, was install the new DazCentral and install a couple of Daz Store products using it.

All the G8F smart content reappeared after I uninstalled and then reinstalling a few G8F items using the old DAZ Install manager.

After a couple of days trying to find the problem and removing any references to DAZ Studio I could find I still had problems when trying to run the G2 to G8 conversion scripts. AS I only use my workstation for DAZ Studio I copied my work to an external drive and removed it. I then formatted both my C: and D: drives then reinstalled WIndows 10 on drive C:

I used DAZ Install Manager to install DAZ Studio and the Postgress cms then loaded a Genesis 2 character and the conversion script and everything worked as expected.

My problems started when I re-installed the Contact Wizard, I could not run the G2 to G8 scripts.

Uninstalling the Content Wizard meant the scripts both run correctly.

I have attached my log file with a couple of comments but am now stuck again.

All products have been installed with DAZ Connect and I have not installed DAZ Central or run Daz Install Manager since the initial install and there is no other software running on the workstation

 

Ok, that means there is an out of date version in the Content Wizard.  I will update its zip with the upcoming patch.  In the meantime, you will need to swap them in and out.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

DAZ Central non è altro che il DIM semplificato per chi non pensa di poter imparare nulla nella vita, quindi passo :)

Installed DAZ Central - Results:  All DAZ Content is now missing in DAZ Studio, and the worse part is if I use DAZ Central to re-install content it does not work. It will go through the install process but the content does not appear. If I attempt to open the content from DAZ Central I receive "a file required by the resources interactive lesson can not be found" - the file it just installed.

** The file shows up in products but has a red dot and can not be installed within DAZ Studio.

Ho in mente di provare di persona però, perché so che GenX2 permette trasformazioni molto facili ma funziona solo su G3, non ho mai provato a convertire i miei G8 in G3.

Sinceramente non vedo alcun motivo per provare Daz Central!
L'unica funzione nuova sarebbe di aprire i file in Daz? E a che mi serve? xD

Puoi convertire i character da G3 a G8 e viceversa

Ho quattri diversi convertitori di char da G1/2/3 a G8... Non funziona, il rig si frantuma ancora di più, le dita si stortano tutte e gli occhi si deformano.

Tuttavia da G2/3/8 a G1 vanno a meraviglia! Il rig rimane intatto, le dita sono dritte e gli occhi, fatta eccezione per un restingimento della pupilla (fixabile con il morph base di G1) sono perfetti.

Since the last update, DAZ Install Manager is no longer able to log on to my account and no solution I tried helped. So I installed DAZ Central to bypass the problem, but DC hasn't even a start symbol and when started from the directory itself, it doesn't work. So back to 2010, where I download my content from the Product Library and unpack every single file by hand.

It this really what DAZ understands by advancement?

Isn't this a showstopping bug and grounds for immediately pulling the program until the code's gone over with a fine-toothed pneumatic drill? I already didn't want to use Central; after all these glitch reports in recent days, there's no way I'd bother to install it.

I couldn't agree more.  And there's been very little response from Daz.

Since you ar also posting in the main thread on Daz Central I am locking this one - as you were told there, you probably need to opena  suport ticket.

You'll probably need to put in a ticket with customer service then if you're still not able to log in to Install Manger or Daz Studio.

Could the layout of the Content Library be altered to reflect the layout of the Smart Content?

What I am talking about is would it be possible when selecting a letter in the product library for the products to be shown in the right hand panel which is currently empty until a product is selected, Once a product is selected then the product details are displayed in the right hand panel as they are now and in the Smart Content library.

At the moment when trawling through the Content Library it is almost impossible to see the product picture icons in the left hand panel and although a larger image is shown when the mouse hovers over a product it means knowing what the product is you are searching for before checking it is the right one. Having the product images in the unused right hand panel would allow larger images and title and easier selection of a product- just as happens in the Smart Content panel.

Daz Central goes a long way toward this for Install Manager/owned products but it woud be nice to be able to do something similar inside DAZ Studio
