Why not set the post as a sticky at the top of the page with a redirect and then close the thread? If we could hide threads from view, then it might not matter. As it is, gotta see it every time one visits. Vomitous!

Wild to me that people would prefer a dozen new threads a day in the commons with people asking about DAZ AI, something that was just introduced today, rather than a single thread where the first post directed people to the other forum subsection.

I agree that a post like this has no place in the commons when the AI studio has its own forum.

Why is this discussion even in the commons when I see there is a whole AI forum for this?

The terminology gets tricky here, both because NVidia seems to be getting away from using the term Quadro and because the last few generations of Quadro cards HAVE been RTX cards. The real distinction is between Quadro and GeForce cards, i.e. professional vs. consumer cards. Quadros use a lot less power than GeForce cards, but don't perform quite as well. A 3090/4090 will render faster than a 24GB Quadro card of the same generation, but the Quadro will use less power and be more stable/durable. RTX is just a technology, and all new cards, whether GeForce or Quadro, utilize that technology.

Don't try to compare apple to oranges. It doesn't work. Really.

Synths best features are sequencers and arpeggiators which allow two things that weren't possible before: 1) Writing music of any kind parametrically without knowing anything about complex music theory rules which slowed down production before; 2) They allow to create music that any human couldn't play with just two hands and ten fingers. It's really like having many robots with hands with many fingers playing any chords and scales at whatever speed.  ; Then of course they have many other useful features too.

The main point is the algorithms and math behind synths is a completely different matter, they were so useful when invented that the whole entertainment industry was completely changed. Without those algorithms all new sound effects and music in anything wouldn't have been possible.

On the other hand LLM algorithms are nothing more than chat bots from the IRC era and before that the BBS era put on steroids. At the time hardware was so limited that those algorithms weren't that effective but still the tech is not far different now despite huge datasets being created everywhere... it is just a bunch of statistics weights on logical trees being called neural networks or whatever. It still is just that. And that kind of algorithms have been so widely used in the industry for many things for decades without being called "AI" implying to having created "Skynet" ... which never happened and there is no AI and there is no Skynet. It's just marketing nonsense by very rich people to make money selling nothing new or nothing at all.

Algorithms for 2D/3D image generation based on parameters existed decades ago already. Anyone could just search for some research papers PDF and find out how old those algorithms really are before the AI hype nonsense. Neural networks and logical decision trees have been used on games for decades as well for NPCs mainly and although the AI term had been used there before no one with enough knowledge really ever thought of that as real AI .. but now many are acting on purpose I think like Skynet appeared  -- no it didn't happen.

Synths with their algorithms were a useful revolution and no real hype although then a proliferation of products in the industry where everyone wanted to monetize on it just ended up having all prices fall down in a few years.

LLMs are nothing really useful. On BBS and IRC chat bots weren't always that useful too.. widely used yes but even for creating online viruses actually... yep.

If the industry marketed LLMs as "all new smart search engines" .. then it would have been honest and better. Instead the AI nonsense hype has been created worldwide to make money quickly selling hot air. All AI hyped products are either old algorithms being re-marketed with the AI hype logo on them OR are just mostly useless and just hype.

More Information on the Gallery Changes:
You will now see multiple different Gallery Views: All - Traditional - AI Elements - AI Generated. You can choose which types of artwork you wish to browse or you can browse all of them. You will also find a new dropdown menu when you upload an image so you can say whether you did or didn't use AI and to what extent. 
Breakdown:
Traditional - Gallery area for 3D and 2D Artwork (Creating within applications like Daz Studio)
AI Elements - Gallery area for images that have a mix of 3D/Daz Studio Elements and AI Elements (Example: An AI generated background combined with characters etc rendered within Daz Studio)
AI Generated - Gallery area for images that are 100% AI Generated (Such as images that came out of Daz AI Studio etc)

I feel so bad for the PA's that the store search is as useless as it is. There are so many times I've been looking for a particular prop and given up, only to later find it in some random environment set. For example, a piano. All searches for a piano give you just grand pianos, and I wanted an upright. (Seriously, how many lower-middle-class folk do you know have a grand piano in their living room??) I gave up... and then a few weeks later, the D+ weekly freebie was an i13 environment that had an upright in it. And later, I picked up a prop pack for something else entirely... and THAT had an upright in it, too! Likewise cat statues, nesting dolls...

Exactly how did you go about editing the files you mentioned Randers? Search for "Carmel" and replace all with "Yomi"?.....That worked for me btw.

@felis, thank-you for that.  The scene file is large, and it took me a while to look for the info, to realize I can just search for ".obj" or "location" to find out the asset names and where they live.

I just had one that entirely blocked the menu bars at the top of the page. (Not the full page monstrosity, but the top-of-the-page one had blocked all of the menu bars.) I had to back up with the back button to get back to the main forum page. Come on guys - if I were only casually interested in perusing the forums, I would've long since given up and never returned.

Oh, and the perpetual "Cookies" one at the botton of the page start turning up.

 Thanks for your help! I was looking on other sites, but I didn't have good results either unfortunately! There are more clothes and accessories for female characters than male ones, which ends up making it impossible for me to find good options. The assets you recommended are very close to what I'm looking for, although I can merge these clothes to create a different and unique outfit. Thanks! By the way, could you tell me if it would be possible to convert Genesis 8/Genesis 8.1 clothes (Male or Female) to Genesis 9 characters? I have more assets purchased from Genesis 8/8.1 than Genesis 9, so much so that I have party items that would be perfect for my Genesis 9 characters, but unfortunately I won't be able to use them due to incompatibility! Is there a script or plugin that does this job?
