Looks like there are some problems withe material stuff. I'm trying to convert MSO Miley G8F and it comes up with some errors, which are kinda weird, claiming not to be able to find files which are clearly present for the material skin. I also tried loading a generic Genesis 9 dev load, loading the material suit for G8F using the relevent script and applying the Miley G8F uber skin to it. This did not report errors, but simply did not appear to work at all. This is attachment 3, following the material load - as can be seen, there is no material apparent in either the NVidia preview, nor in the textures preview (not shown). Clearly there is something screwed up with this installation, despite using DIM. Maybe something macos related??
I'll take a closer look at the manual regarding the morph distortions - thanks.

That does not look like you used the Material Suit Apply G8-G9 Hiearchical Map script. Please use according to the manual.
I followed the manual to the letter:
1. Loaded the G9 Dev load
2. Selected the G9 Dev load and then ran the script entitled "Material Suit Add G8F Material Suit" from the Scripts/RiversoftArt folder.
3. With Genesis 9 still selected, applied Victoria 8 all maps material (which you probably do have, given it's listed in the manual).
Result: no textures - see attachment.
(Clearly something is very wrong here. Incidentally, I should mentioned that just to be sure, before running the above test, I closed studio, un-installed and reinstalled G8F material suit product using DIM and restarted Studio).
I should also note that this is a new mac running M2 Max chipset.
Ok, figured it out. It WAS MY MISTAKE! My eye had skipped over the bit in the manual which says you have to select the hierarchical material (in this case Victoria 8 all maps) and then then NOT DOUBLE CLICK to load but select the script 'apply materials' which by default is in added in my 'Favourites' menu. It now works: shown in the attached.
Onto the next issue, which is why the character converter is complaining about missing files... when they are present in the folder it specifies.

In che senso fa schifo? Dai render che personalmente ho provato non ho notato nulla di tutto ciò, nessun rumore, aberrazione cromatica e sbavature varie, va beh che ho provato pochissimo, magari usciranno fuori. Non sapevo che ci fossero questi problemi! Ma non sarà dovuto, come è sempre successo, che Iray vada aggiornato a queste schede? Mi ricordo che quando passai alla serie 1000 proprio non funzionave Iray per qualche mese. A me è risultato piacevolmente fulmineo il tempo di render, mantenendo le mie solite impostazioni, anche pressando con cose che con la vecchia scheda mi portavano a incartarmici un sacco di minuti, anche per i render di prova.
Ora provo a vedere cosa succede seguendo il tuo consiglio! Grazie!

Wouldn't take a lot to delete/hide one side and/or put it on any bit you wished.
To make things easier, I've attached a zip file with 2 obj files in it. 1) The Obj file for a single earring for you to import. Apply shaders and import the 'star shank longer' obj using 'Edit| Object| Morph Loader Advanced' to make the shank have a variable length morph. Then position the model and parent in place.

Is there a way to unwelded edges/vertices in daz3d?Not sure what exactly you wanna do but there's no direct way.. You may use Geometry Editor to 'cut' a part of polygons, export to obj and re-import, sort of 'unwelding'
How to make a character undressUsually you may try:
1. to use some products with undressed morphs like above mentioned;
2. to make undressed morphs by yourself with modeling / sculpting software, blender, ZBrush, etc. and import back to the garment;
3. or another trick is: you seek the garment (A) (having some undressed morphs) that is similar to the one (B) you use, and use Transfer Utility to transfer the undressed morph targets from (A) to (B) and finetune it with blender / ZB. In most case, it might be faster... even without tweaking sometimes denpending on the garments...How to make a real brow squeeze on genesis 8 and 8.1?You may try to use some expression morphs from Daz.com, for instance: Compression HD + Brow Squeeze, uncheck Use Limits and increase the values a litttle bit. Then, use GoZ or blender etc. to make some crease in between the inner brows then import as a delta morph, so as to make some subtle change. (I made one with blender...) You even can mix the expression with other brows related morphs and create a unique single dial.
PS: Normally we won't separately bake normal or displacement maps for expressions, but you can do it if you'd like...
Poser 10 and DAZI use Poser 2014 sometimes and am able to go to "Windows" tab in Poser, then click "Libriaries. I guess this is the one that doesn't help. I am not sure.
You can add your Poser Librairies to Daz Studio.
Open Daz Studio.
Go to Content Library Tab
Find "Poser Formats" and Right click
From there, you can add all of your Poser Libraries.
This doesn't import your Poser Libraries, it just links your Poser Libraries. Therefore, your Poser Libraries stay where they are.
Your Poser Characters and props will work just fine in almost all cases. The Poser "Pose" files for different textures will work, however may not be as bright as in Poser.
The Poser "Mat" files intended to be used in the Material Room for Poser usually don't even show up in Daz Studio.
It is fun to learn to use Daz Studio shaders to make old products look new!

Poser 10 and DAZI have not used Poser in a while, today I found out that because Flash player is not an option the library does not work. I have regular Poser so the edit library external fix does not help me. Is there a way to import all of Poser 10 libraries into DAZ Studio?

Computer hung, now database "is in recovery mode"All done. Got everything back, with a few modifications along the way. Missed a block of products' vendor data, so they all ended up in LOCAL USER when I imported the user data. Had to re-do those manually, since the user data is basically one big blob of entries with no way to limit or restrict what it uses, and you don't know what is where. You could search for it, but you still couldn't isolate it without making an edit and creating a subset to import. Maybe I'll export per product. A lot of files, but once done, the categorization is not likely to change. That way, I can select any product(s) to restore. Keep the exported data in a separate folder (you can choose where to send it), and copy the ones you want to the Runtime/Support folder for the DB Maintenance-Re-Import metadata to find. Seeing as it will be Read-Only, I just have to change the path for the Category to some throwaway destination in the dsx file before re-importing. Then I just have to copy that small subset back into the main tree, not the whole thing. Still going to do a full bcakup of the database, and the full user data export, just to cover all angles.

I 'replicated' the process you did, nearly the same issue... I haven't found a way in TR utility to improve it as it's just a 'weight' issue I believe... I could just fix it now by re-import a delta. Tweaking weight might work as well...

- creating the dress in blender starting from a cube
- when done, importing the .obj in DAZ
- using transfer utility with reverse option (the G9 used as reference for modeling is the same than the figure I'm using for the transfer utility)
There's no lost edge, the same process done for G3 and G8 works fine.
It looks like a problem with the distance between the dress and the body. The transfer utility gives to the G9 figure a too strong influence on the dress for this part.
You may re-import the obj file with Morph Loader Pro as a delta only (+ reverse deformations) to overwrite the hidden blend shape 'BaseFeminine_body_bs_Body' on the skirt. Or try Josh's tutorial in Mada's thread. There'll be more steps but see if it'll work..
