Today I purchased dForce Joslyn Candy Outfit for Genesis 8 Female ( https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-joslyn-candy-outfit-for-genesis-8-females ) without noticing that it is exclusively for DAZ Central. I have requested a refund, unless they plan to add manual download in the next few days.

Please be more cautious than I was. I did not check the install types so I can avoid Daz Connect or Daz Central only products. If there is no manual download then the product is not for me.

If a list of Daz Connect only products and Daz Central only products has not been started then maybe it could be started in this posting  If there is a list please add a link to it in this posting since I could not find either list.

DazCentral should show the same products as DIM (unless they're hidden in DIM), but I have at least one missing, also.

I need to replace my OS drive and for the first time in a number of years I'm going to have to start from scratch and re-install everything. All my library content is on a 2nd drive. For Daz/Central/DIM etc. if I backup my c:\users\username\AppData\Roaming\Daz3D directory and restore it once Daz and Central is re-installed, will that set everything back to the way I had it?

It's pretty common in Texas to find words of Spanish origin badly anglicized, so that the J in San Jacinto, which would be pronounced as an H as in Juan in espanol, instead gets a hard J, leading to the local college of that name being known by all as San Jack.  The worst name I've found for non-locals to come across unprepared, however, is the street known as Fuqua.  So how do YOU think that might be pronounced?

How did you install? V4.2 has to be installed through DIM or manually, not through Daz Connect Or Daz Central.

Also - my Central STILL shows different installed results to my Studio, which is also different to my DIM!!!! Aaaargh!!  I have been over and over the install paths!  I swear, I'm going to give up and learn Poser!! (Kidding. KIDDING! lol!)

Hi,

How can I change the default Install location of the actual Daz3dStudo program in DazCentral?

I don't want it installed on my C drive

I already know how to change the install  location of my Daz content. Assuming it can be done the same as before when using Download Manager. I haven't gotten to that yet.

 

I messed up Daz3d Install when I tried to install DazCentral a few weeks ago. It went and installed Daz Studio on the C drive when I already had it installed somewhere else. Then I noticed even the download manager got messed up and redirected.

I uninstalled everythng Daz related and was able to get DazCentral installed where I want. But I don't see a way to do the same for Daz3d itself.

 

 

 

 

Whenever I use the Install Manager all it says is Install failed! Daz central just goes right back to Install instead of Open. I really don't want to install all that stuff manually.

I can't get my recent purchases to install through either Daz central or the Install Manager. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling them both, restarting the computer, resetting the internet connction and nothing works. I've installed hundred of items into my Daz library and this is the first time I've had any trouble.

I've never seen Cel-Ray outside of NYC. If anyone has seen it anyone between there and Chicago please let me know. I know it sounds bad but it isn't good but it is really good, all Dr. Brown's sodas are.

 

It's pretty common in Kosher delis and grocery stores across the country since all of the Dr. Brown products are kosher.  The bigger mega-supermarkets often carry it as well... in Houston, I know it can be bought at HEB, Central Market and Spec's liquor.  (For those wondering, it kinda tastes like ginger ale, but mixed with celery.)

I shop in kosher markets here in Chicago pretty frequently and have never seen a Dr. Browns. Maybe its a NYC/Chicago thing. Obviously NYC is jealous of us and might be unwilling to ship to us.

Worst case scenario, you can buy it online from Amazon or from BeveridgeUniverse, but I typed in Cel-Ray and Chicago and immediately got hits for a couple of delis... Manny's, Kaufmans, Eleven City and even, weirdly hits for WalMart and Target (though I'll bet that's special order only.)   

Manny's and Eleven City are on the near South Side I basically never go there. It's pretty good trip for me, and nothing I need there unless I really want a corned beef (Manny's is the corned beef place). 

Kaufmans is in Skokie and again I rarely go to the burbs because I live in Chicago.

I never go to Wal-Marrt for anything ever. I grew up in the part of the Soutyh they destroyed.

I might try Target but I never thought of checking.

Have you checked the Content Library?  Also, just to check, have you restarted Daz Studio since installing?  Content installed with DIM won't show up until you do.
