Diffeomorphic DAZ-to-Blender
As for outfits not showing up I'm short of ideas. In previous versions some diffeo settings were saved in the blender default scene as explained by Thomas, but I don't see how this could harm apart having to save both the diffeo and blender defaults. I personally use the portable (zip) version of blender so nothing is saved into the registry, I don't know if this could be the issue.
You may try with the factory settings for blender and if this doesn't work then uninstall both blender and diffeo. I am unable to reproduce the issue so this is as far as I can help I'm afraid.
- set factory settings for blender
- set factory settings for diffeo
- restart clean
p.s. Just to get more info that may help.
- does any of you use daz connect or daz central perhaps ? as diffeo only works offline.
- could you post your daz folders and diffeo folders ?
p.p.s. I may be going paranoid here but this issue appeared to someone just after daz released the daz bridge. May it be something is changed on the daz side ?
Clean Reinstall Trick?I'm trying to restore victoria 8 and 2 after deleting the data directories. Basically I simply want to start over as when I do uninstall and reinstall right now it does the same thing, installs *some* of the characters, but not all. Going to essential doesn't seem to work.
Is there a trick to do a complete fresh install? I just unstalled on central then deleted the actual directories.
Guided Tours - Adding an Environment MissingNevermind. I fixed the issue by installing the DAZ Install Manager and it installed all the missing content that DAZ Central missed.
Guided Tours - Adding an Environment MissingHi all,
I've had DAZ Studio for a while now, but am only starting to get into it now. I had the original Install Manager installed, but I had some issues with DAZ Studio so started from scratch and re-installed using DAZCentral.
Unfortunately, now when I go through the Guided Tours, I get to the "Adding an Environment" section and it tells me it's missing and it's part of Genesis 2 Starter Essentials, but DAZ Central says it's installed. On clsoer inspection, the size if Genesis 2 STarter Essentials is only 0.22 MB, but Genesis 3 Starter Essenitals is 213.22 MB in size, and Genesis 8 Starter Essentials is 276.43 MB in size so something is off/wrong.
I tried re-installing it but it gives the same info.Any ideas/help on how to fix this?

King's Cross
Introducing the Daz to Maya Bridge & native Maya File FormatsI got the transfer working the very 1st time to maya 2020 but for some reason it never works again. I've got the clothing but is always missing the body. I've try reinstalling daz and plugin but still scratching my head. Anyone else have this problem?
So I had to create a new account on my PC and reinstall DAZ studio. Only install the characters that are compatible with Da to Maya Bridge and this seem to solved the issue. I believe you can't have any non-compatible characters install or it will mess up the transfer. I wish there is a way to quickly search for all problem characters and use DIM to uninstall them. Btw Daz central is a good idea but not very cuztomizable like DIM. Wish we can transfer the animation and poses too at the same time without exporting bvh or something. Overall I'm glad things are moving forward.

Genesis 3 Female not showing up in Daz StudioHow did you install? As Chohole says, with manual/Daz Central/Daz Install Manager isntallations there are two packages; with Daz Connect (the Install and Smart Content panes in DS) there's only a single product.
[Released] Content Wizard [Commercial]I keep getting this error message when I try to use Content Wizard on a package. Any ideas how to fix this?

Where is the installer of Daz Studio for Mac?You have to install it through DIM or Daz Central
Where is the installer of Daz Studio for Mac?I can't find where is the installer for Mac of Daz Studio. If I want to install it, it downloads a Daz Central file which requests an user and password that I don't have.
I have only the installer for Windows 32 and 64, but I don't have the mac ones. I want to install it manually in Mac.
Could you tell me where is it? Thank you!
Moving ''My DAZ 3D Library''to another HDI just down loaded Daz Central it too the place of ''DIM''so my question is What are to steps in Daz Central to move an set-up a My DAZ 3D Library on another HD.I cant seem to find it anywhere in the New Daz Central.
Studi not detecting items installed with DIMFor smart content to find stuff it has to be installed through DIM or Daz central so the database knows where it is. I'm pretty sure that installing a new instance of DS does not reuse an existing database so that is likely part of your issue, along with things like existing manifest files etc.
To do a full wipe and reinstall you really have to get rid of everything.
I did a full wipe on the entire drive, reloaded the OS, then installed a clean OS and Clean Studio. There has not been a Studio reinstall after that, this is the only Studio installation on this current build. No pre-existing database or manifest files were used, everything was downloaded and installed new

Is Daz Central Broken? As the title suggests, I'm having some trouble with Daz Central 'installing' purchased items. Previously i have simply clicked on 'install' and let the program run in the background whilst i do other stuff; large files were queued and installed sequentially with no hiccups. Today however, i get an update notification (which fails) and daz central opens as normal; all my purchased items are there and everything is marked according to it's installed status. When i clicked on the four largest products to install, they queue as before and the progress bars slowly fill up as normal. Then something happens and they all just stop and revert to the green 'install' button. When i click on 'install' again, it picks-up from where it left-off in terms of progress, but only for a couple of minutes before i have to click 'install' again. My internet connection is slow but consistent and i have not had this trouble before today. There are no alerts, notifications or sounds, so i have to manually check to see if they are still downloading every couple of minutes. I don't think this is acceptable, and i'm wondering if i have to re-install daz central, check directories/program location etc. Any ideas?
3D Art Freebie Challenge-July 2020 - "...Only at the circus" - Main Thread OnlyWell, I missed the deadline.
However, I think the NAE (Not An Entry) I was doing actually works even better with just a summary of the idea, leaving the image to be created in the mind of the viewer.
Le Cirque Du Beaucoup De Coucou Dans Les Nuages*
Le Cirque Du Coucouville-les-Nuées !
The interior of a big top, with all the spotlights on the central ring. The audience, all of whom are birds of various types, can be dimly seen. Within the central ring is a huge birdcage, inside which is a rooster in gaudy attire, cock-a-doodle-dooing, strutting his stuff cockerel fashion and, with the aid of various kitchen utensils, goading the three trained (but not pleased) Colonel Sanders lookalikes to act like chickens. And you can see from their eyes that they're thinking "Mmmm ! Spicy rooster drumsticks..."*I've probably got my de/du all wrong - it's supposed to be "The Circus Of Much Cuckoo In The Clouds" in French. You know, Le Cirque Du Soleil. Cloud Cuckoo Land. Aristophanes. Edit -m just found that the French translation is usually "Coucouville-les-Nuées" !
That sounds hilarious:)
InstallationInstall Manager has more options and facilities, it is a super-set of Central as I understand it.
There is one thing Daz central can do which Install Manager currently can't, and that is launch DS and have it run an interactive lesson.
