La promozione wishlist funziona normalmente, per i new release non lo so perchè non ho neanche provato, sono troppo cari per me, se qualcosa mi piace la metto nella wishlist per comprarla quando scende di prezzo. Mi riferisco invece allo sconto del 20% o 30% o 40%  che dovrebbe essere applicato agli oggetti elencati nella promozione dei Featured Artist del giorno, se possiedi 1 o 2 o 3 oggetti DD rispettivamente. Lo sconto viene applicato automaticamente quando metti gli oggetti nel carrello. Avendo comprato dForce Hailey Dress for Genesis 9 due giorni fa, fin quando appare nella pagina promozionale dovrei avere uno sconto 20% sugli oggetti che trovo elencati nella lista Featured Artist del giorno (anche questa cambia ogni giorno). Questa promozione per me ha funzionato fino a qualche giorno fa, ora invece non funziona più. Ho chiesto nel forum apposito "New Year, New Sales etc", ma dalle risposte mi sono resa conto che per gli altri funziona ed il problema sembra solo mio. L'unica cosa che è cambiata è che ho fatto una breve vacanza e fino a qualche giorno mi collegavo da un'altro computer, mentre adesso sono tornata a casa e mi collego dal mio computer di sempre e da quel momento ha smesso di funzionare quella specifica promozione. Non penso però che c'entri niente, perchè la promozione della wishlist e le altre funzionano. In allegato lo screenshot della promozione dell'elenco dei FA a cui mi riferisco. Visto che sembra riguardi solo me, mentre per gli altri funziona normalmente, ho aperto un ticket, vediamo cosa mi rispondono e, soprattutto, quando.

Shop is still horribly white, seems even worse since the change to my eyes. Slow slow slow (how many time writting slow will give an idea to Daz to finally do something?) shop page to come. I'm on a comp, but I saw someone on the forum talking of 87 seconds to load on the tablet. Congrats Daz! That's a record not ready to be broken.

And like it was already said since the beginning: for those looking for Bryce and Carrara, how are they able to do? I don't care, but others do, and I see that someone else asked AGAIN above.

It's not an improvement concerning the shop, far from that in the other direction. And it's totally horrible also for the product library. Not giving envy to jump into anything.

Tiny ants:  At first I was going to say that your tiny ants might be "pissants" but although I was certain what I meant by that term, I wasn't quite sure what the proper definition was.  So I looked it up.  Or rather I asked Google's AI mode.  I didn't copy the answer but it was more complicated than I had thought.  Apparently there is a type of ant that is specifically called Pissant, because they and their lodgings smell like piss.  They are rather large, actually larger than typical ants in western NY State (Google AI mode is great at summarizing comparisons if you ask the right questions.)  I didn't know about them.  My understanding was that the term "pissant" was a generic term applied to any type of teeny tiny ants, like 1 or 2mm.  Like this.  Are your ants in that list?

Note:  "Pissant" is also a derogatory term for insignificant people.

Unfortunately, search options still seem to run like mulch*.

For example, trying to search for "Genesis 2 F" (including the quotes in the search bar) in the shop gives me tons of Genesis 9 products and almost nothing of Genesis 2 like I'm specifically looking for., and yet, a search for "Victoria 6" gives me most everything there is that is a V6 with only a few that are not V6. Very inconsistent! I think I get better results searching in the Forums!

Yes that is what they might be telling you to do, but take any advice from Daz forum posters with a grain of salt.  I assume this is for a personal project? You dont need this super complicated solution and there is a much more standard solution that doesnt involve any such impractical and convoluted steps.

Much easier solution for creating new textures:

Export the Character + Geograft as obj.

Import this mesh and the base color textures into Substance Painter or another 3D texture painting software which supports a multi UDIM texture painting workflow.

Blend across the region. E.g., in Substance Painter, use the clone stamp tool or some such to create the blending.

Export the updated base color textures (for the body and the geograft) and load them onto your figure + geograft in Daz.

Sorry for not spending more time here, but I've been dialing back my DAZ forum time the last few weeks and only been doing quick little "drive-bys". 

Never tried Weet-Bix or Weetabix, I was a sugar-packed cereal kid (which may explain a lot).

Now, Pringles, those and almost any potato chips are my downfall. It doesn't help that one of my favourites growing up ("Old Dutch") were made a 5-10 minute drive from where I live and from where I grew up.

I don't have that product, but a mistake was made while creating the metadata for it.

To solve the problem on your end:

• Click on the three dot
• In the search field, type Starter, there is a fair chance it'll select Genesis 9 Starter Essentials (it's the fastest way I have found to get back near every Genesis figures Compatibility Base). If it does, click on the magnifying glass to cycle through all products with Starter in their name.
• Open 'Genesis 8' and select 'Male'
• Click accept.

It should fix the problem.

If you feel lucky, you can open a ticket with Daz, hoping for a fix: metadata are Daz responsability.

The strangest part in your problem is that re-installing Genesis 8 Starter Essentials should have fixed it as far as I know.

Prior to Iray coming along, we had acces to Lux Render(which is also open source), via Paolo Ciccone's Reality plug in, and later Luxus by Spheric labs.

AFaik, neither received any support from other PA's, and both had been developmentally dead for years prior to their removal form the daz store in 2021 and 2020 repectively.

Relaity went open source long before it was NLA'd and is up on github.  I've seen a few attemptes to update it, but those have also been dead for years.

Not sure if Luxus still works, but it's NLA and locked to an almost 10 year old version of lux render, iirc.

 

We currently have accesss to Octane render, and again, PA support is basically non-existent, with 3 whole products that come up when i search the daz store for Octane render.

 

3delight support had massively declined prior to it's removal, with very few(if any) products having 3delight presets for several years.

 

Filament(which is open source) is an iffy. it's gotten some PA support, but it's not all that much for something that's been around for ~5 years.

 

Coming from a user perspective, the only thing that matters is if it's signifiantly faster at rendering on the same hardware than iray(wth indistinguishable results),  that render savings isn't completely lost in the conversion process, and, ti's stupid easy to convert the assets(one click, done).

Short of that, user support is going to be non-existent, except for some of the more hardcore types.

 

 

 

I think the important question to ask is, is a developer going to see a decent return from their renderer. Enough to justify continued delelopment/improvement. Probably not.

No worries. My interest in American Mid Century homes is just another recend idea of mine. Usually, you are correct, I have a preference for European homes.
In general I always appreciate, what is aside from the mainstream items.
All these vendors' items suggested to me are mostly great, that's why I got their items already.
My frustration is just seeing, that all marketplaces repeating itself over and over again. American busstops, diner, New York lofts and bla bla bla.
I am just not wired the way of the mainstream customer. Not in 3d marketplaces, not in real life marketplaces.
Most people wander through shops and selecting from what's available. 
I go into a shop with a tunnel vision for one specific idea and usually I just can't get, what I wanted.
So, yes I am ultra picky.
Still thank you all for you're suggestions, I'm just hard to please.

Also not helpful while shopping: when looking at store pages or search results pages etc,  I most often want to see WISHLISTED ITEMS and  ALSO see my own purchases in that deal bin, category or search returns or whatever.  Of course, if you bought it it is no longer on your WL, so those items will not show even if you UNCHECK "Hide Owned" if you ALSO have "Whishlist Only" checked.   The "Hide Owned" toggle need to operate yes or no seperately without consideration for wishlist status/check box.    This used to be the case for how those 2 filters worked before, as I used them that way for as long as I can recall.  Now, it seems the only way I can see my WL items AND my OWNED is to uncheck the WL filter and uncheck the OWNED filter so my owned will show, the WL items will show themselves by their flags but I have to pick through hundreds or thousands of unwanted items to see/find my owned & WL items. No convenient at all, again, sucking the value out of the WL feature and the filters generally.    For me this is a far worse issue than the slow page and module loading that has been a focus of many complaints since the  current round of site "upgrades" because it makes shopping so much more tedious and time consuming.  The difference between reviewing 62 pages of products (owned, not owned but unwanted, and WL'd) and 22 pages of only owned & WL'd is a lot of tedium and time just to shop.

By they way, I did finally get a response from the help desk yesterday. They said that we can share the DMC configuration files "unless they get a takedown request from the publisher", also they said they notified the forum mods as well that we can share the .dmc files,  so I will attach mine here for G9 based on the suggestions mentioned in the thread in case anyone needs it.

Yay!  One of the things in the package was a flat (half carton) of eight ounce aluminum cans of V8 Juice (a blend of tomato + seven other veggies juice) that I like to have on hand for breakfast (one can provides two 4 ounce servings).  The cans were in the cardboard flat and wrapped in heavy plastic shrink wrap.  I set the flat on my kitchen counter, grabbed my box knife (new blade recently installed), and swipped along the cardboard to cut two sides of the flat so I could tease the plastic wrap from the flat.  Unfortunately, I was a little too aggressive with my box cutter, and the blade was extended just a bit too far, and I sliced through the plastic, through the cardboard, and through the wall of one of the cans.  The juice is not carbonated but apparently the juice is slightly under pressure (temperature, deformity, or whatever) in the can and loves to be let free and spray when the opportunity arises.  What followed was a rush to discover which can was spraying, then remove it, wash it, and all the other cans near it, wipe up the juice that had accumulated in the bottom of the cardboard flat, and test all the other potentially sliced cans.  Luckily it was just the one can, which I emptied into a mug and put into the refrigerator for the next two day's breakfast.
