So if i buy crappy poser, anyway to export my scen from Daz to poser? I altered M4 myself with dials, tweaked him perfectly, St up all the lighting. I really do NOT want to have to do it all again in some foreign program. Was hard enough in Daz. In fact if i lost it i dont think i could do it again even in Daz.
Thanks for the replies. From the artwork I've seen, Poser is 'not' a crappy program! It's a different program and no, it cannot read the 'scene files' from Daz Studio. However it can use all the models except the D/S4 specific ones like Genesis - and it cannot use the 'dynamic clothing' which is intended for use in D/S with its dynamic plugin. Think it's on sale now too. Just be careful to pick the correct edition; upgrades require previous editions on board.
This isn't much hair; but if you're after good for military looks ... might be of interest [and it's free].

For M4's character that you've created: use the Pose exporter [free] to save it. Test it, make sure it works as intended. If it works in D/S, it should work in Poser.http://www.daz3d.com/shop/free-3d-models-and-content/poser-format-exporter-pfe/

I need some of these for some high school murder mystery comics I want to do.I'm going to assume you have Morphs++ for both Victoria 4 and Michael 4
I've found cautious use of the "Face Young" morph (along with a touch of Face Round) can help face morphs. Young also works well on the bodies. Teen faces are still a bit on the round/soft side compared to adults.
If you have Aiko4 and Hiro4, light use of those morphs (no more than 5%) can help as well, and Stephanie Petite helps keep young teens from looking too busty (though, I have to say, moderately busty mid-teens do exist and are probably more common than most people want to admit, if my 12 year old daughter's friends are anything to go by.)
I've found the more difficult part for creating teens is the skin texture. Most skins are for adults, and the amount of body hair on guys (especially facial hair) can make an otherwise great young teen look substantially older. I know there's a lot of complaining that there aren't enough skin textures with a lot of body hair, but there aren't all that many with the light amounts a teen would have either.
However, that said, take a look at the characters by Thorne and Sarsa, many of which have a youthful quality, even if they aren't outright kids. Also there is Teen Ashley for V4 here at Daz, and several collections of teen boy morphs (but not skin textures) over at Poser Addicts.
That's, pretty much what I do. Aiko 4 & Stephanie 4 make great teen girls while Michael 4 & Hiro 4 (like we had much choice without a David 4) makes decent teen boys. And the young morphs make it all the better looking.Teen morphs for gen4 models?Tindra Thompson is a beautiful V4/A4 character who comes in 3 ages/sizes which are young, teen, and adult.
Sabrina Blinker V4-Elite-S4 she can be a cute, young little bundle of joy, a sweet & kind or sassy & rebellious teen, or a sexy, mean Gothic, or just plain sweet & sexy adult (also comes with a Genesis version, but you must send an email asking for the files).
Ultimate Teenagers for M4. Everything you need to create teenage males based on Michael 4 (with Morphs++).

Sometimes appeared the progress bar, and other times not. Depend of the installation made it. I will reinstall it. But it is a problem after problem during months and different updates of Microsoft. ( DIfferent versions of .NET ).
The last faillure was produced at the moment of change properties on the render ( change it to 16:9 ), and change properties of one of the shaders. I don't remember wich one but not so important to remember it.
Since that moment at the render running, appears a "please wait" and an error of access violation. Seems that this siuation produces some type of corruption in some file, and from this all begin to go bad.
I have another situation having ONLY Michael 4 suited with the fighter pilot suit and a small model of a fighter cockpit made by me in Hexagon, and this is enough to hang the render and cause an error. All seems to be too much heavy.
I will reinstall it and if I have problems again I will post. You have a very good program, but Pinnacle studio was good too for video, and all the people is leaving from it for the continued problems loosing hundreds of hours of work !! Please, take care with the revisions. I like DAZ. ( Work with it. Not work in repair it ).
THE EYES, THEY BURNWhich version of Daz Studio? Is it Genesis or Victoria 4 or Michael 4 or all figures?

Hmm...that got me thinking. In the spirit of this being a freebie contest, I went ahead and redid the dial spin only using the options from the free morph set. Not exactly the same due to differing options but it works well enough. Attached an image of the face of the morph (skin texture not included) though the morph is full body.
Now that I think of it, I might be forced to do a morph that's just the head...Fntastic! She lolokls just awesome ;)

No postwork save for addition of signature and copyright date.Great render LG.. I really like DOF in this one... and the subject is quite nice to ;)
You are going to tell me this is render??? I mean .. really?? I was convinced it is a picture.. you need to give me some links to the Cycles for summies, or something because I want to do that to....There might be a small problem here, what make Cycles attractive is a script by mCasuale and the script is for DS. I don't know if there is anything similar for Poser.
The great thing with the script is that it translate simple DS materials to Cycles shaders. In theory you can build your scene in DS, run the script, that will launch blender in camera view and with Cycles active and all you have to do is hit the render button.
In reality it is usually not quite that simple, you will probably want to tweak a few thing and that brings us to another problem.
You will have to be able to do a few basic things in blender. Blender is not the kind of program that you install, take for a spin and say "That was fun". You install, launch and after tree minutes you will know the true meaning of confusion, after five, frustration and after ten despair (possibly a slight exaggeration, or not). If you want to use blender you must take the time to learn it, it will not be altogether pleasant, but nowhere near the hellish experience it used to be a few years back and IMHO well worth the effort.
There is an hilarious amount of tutorials for blender, many are good. If you are interested, and you should be :cheese: , start by watching a few BEFORE you run the program.
Without a script you can still export your scenes to blender but you will have to build the shaders more or less by hand. In that case i would not go for Cycles. blender can also be used as a front end to LuxRenders (the free engine Reality use). Cycles is still in development, LuxRenders have been around a long time and have more functions and less bugs than Cycles.

Some beginner tutorials, there are may more.
Cheers! OomThank you :)
Thou I play in blender a bit ( my donation for this month was made in blender, also using cloth collison :D)To be honest I am more confused in Hexagon than in blender... I got blender quite quick, after few basic tutorials I do not confuse myself so easy there, and getting frustrated with poser, that I cannot zoom with scroll button
I will thou take a look at some material tutorials ;)
