Exporting anatomical elements morphs
OK so after trying @nonesuch00 method, the result was the same, the genitals morphs were not exported, only the body morph.
However with @agent unawares suggestions, I look how to merge models in Daz and stumble upon this topic :
https://www.reddit.com/r/adultvrgames/comments/4p7016/using_daz3d_models_in_unity_and_unreal/
So following the steps there, I merged both models (body + genitals) and the genitals morphs are now properly exported when exporting the body.
Thanks a lot for your help !

I figured that would do it.
Needing to transfer face morphs from G2 to G8Isn't that what you were referring to? If not, you just store your base shape as a morph target, sculpt whatever you want without paying too close attention to whether you're accidentally messing up the skull, etcetera, and then use the morph brush to either paint in the original base shape, or switch the morph target with the current geometry and paint in the parts of your sculpt that you wanted.
I'm working on converting someone's unpublished morph set from male to female and I am doing this a lot to clean up the transfer results.

Well that's good to know, good luck with your game(s).

Needing to transfer face morphs from G2 to G8No, they were a mess. Nice thing about ZBrush is that I just loaded the base GM8 in as a morph target to fix things like hands, feet, eyes and teeth!
My favorite thing about ZBrush, truly. You can sculpt right over the "edges" of where you're "coloring" and then just paint back in your original shape where you need it.

MM DAZ-Poser The divide widens...yes it is one's choice, I have also used Poser as well (I picked up Poser 6 for 70$ form a reseller just as 7 was about to be released) and just found the Daz figures to be easier to work with and had more features than the native Poser ones. So I was still finding myself buying a lot of Daz character, morph, clothing, and hair content. With Daz 3.0 Advanced came 64 bit support and that is what sold me as Poser 7 (and later, 8) were still 32 bit with the 2 GB file limit (which usually resulted in render crashes once the file load exceeded it).
When Genesis was released, a lot of the clothing fit woes I was dealing with using Poser and Gen3/4 characters vanished as well (except maybe for footwear).
Also for someone who has been in this for just over a decade, I actually have a surprisingly modest library/runtime compared to others here, even some who have been here for fewer years than I have.
To buy or make yourself, that is the question...The biggest issue I see whenever I bring up making something yourself is "my time is valuable". I get convienace and I also get return on investment when doing something commercially as your time is actually valuable when working on a commercial project. I come from a modeling background and also view this whole process as being creative, so it makes all the sense in the world to me to try and create every aspect in my renders if possible. I do most of my additional textures sets. I make lots of my own poses, I model tons of props I need, I create many of my light setups, I create my own characters either from MRs or parts of other packages. Heck, if I could rig, I would be spending a whole lot less than I do now. If I could be bothered to package up freebies, I would have a ton of threads in the freebie section, LOL
I would feel uncreative and uninspired if all I did was click to load everything I didn't create and then hit render
I modify everything but don't know how to model--yet. And the main reason I buy characters and morph packs is to mix and match and create something unique. But things like character UVs and moving shapes over generations or creating clones seems like a PITA to me, so those I would rather purchase... I rarely buy hair textures but that product seemed so cool, I almost bought it but realized I could do that myself and working with shaders is fun for me. So I guess there's also fun vs tedium in the mix..
Question about HD add-ons and how they work when mixing charactersi will mix dial an HD add-on into a dialspun character sometimes, but only if i've already got that standard morph version of the character dialed into the mix already, and always at a slightler lower value than i've got the base character dialed in.

Would like to get rid of the older Generations...Generation 4 has far too many clohing and other items for me to delete them.
I'm with nonesuch. there's a bunch of still-useful prop weapons, clothes and hairstyles associated with V4M4 in my runtime, and although I'm mostly caught up on converting M4 skins to a format that can be used with the G3M geografts (think I still have a couple of RawArt characters I could transfer the skins on), I've still got a pile of Surreality skins to repurpose to G3F. (mostly be because just looking at all the makeup options makes me feel tired...)
I have decided to dump stuff from the runtime by hand at different times, and usually it involved searching piecemeal through the runtime in Window Explorer.

ZBrush to DAZ problemSomeone guide me on this process...I need to learn to use zbrush with daz studio. Can someone point me to some good tutorials? I want to make a facial morph as my first project.
Problems with transfer utility and genesis 8Hi everyone, i'm trying to create a shirt with marvelous designer for a genesis 8 character, but when i use the transfer utility, the shirt raise up as you can see from the picture. Using a genesis 3 model, this does'nt happen and the shirt fits fine, what's wrong? Please someone could help me? Thanks
ZBrush to DAZ problemI fixed it. I think it was a resolution problem and transfering the suit to the star worked under transfer utility.
Thank you!
ZBrush to DAZ problemAlso, send the set that is NOT working to Zbrush including deformations, make the correction in ZBrush, then send BACK to DAZ and when you do, instead of choosing to make it a morph, update the geometry instead. It should fix the issue.... I hope.
ZBrush to DAZ problemTransfer to the suit instead of G3F? :)
Do known religious figures violate the TOS or such?I probably don't need a Jesus 8 with 'walking on water' morphs... but what I do need is more clothing choices from the Old Testament time period. They could simply be called 'Bronze Age' outfits. I've scripted out a comic which has a number of flashbacks to battles in the OT. There is a limited range of clothing available for that sort of thing. Right now I'm planning on using the Warrior Monk outfit for one side. I just wish it had a girded loins morph ;) Deacon215 over at the other site has a number of period outfits that might work for period scenes of this nature. I think his Minoans outfits will probably stand in for Philistine clothing with some texture changes. He also has some good Roman outfits that would work for people wanting to do crucifiction/Jerusalem occupation scenes.
That said, religious items will probably always be a niche category in 3D art but there are a lot of items that could be made if someone put their mind to it :)
ZBrush to DAZ problemHi,
I am trying to create a Marvel character ( Captain Marvel ). I am using G3F and HSF Wraith Suit.
I sent just the suit over to ZBrush. I wanted to create the star on the chest of the suit. When I hit GoZ to send the star back to DAZ the star
will not parent in place after I select transfer utility G3F to the star. It doesn't align the star properly. It aligns slightly off the chest of the suit.
When I go to move the figure the star does not move with the suit. I could use suggestions. Thanks
More Non-photorealisitic Renders (NPR II)Did a little more detail work on my fighter figure. I'm calling this one, Warrior of the Wastes. This is based on the M4 Warrior and a fantastic morph that was created by takezo_3001. I can't thank him enough for sharing it with me.
As usual, rendered in Poser Pro 11, editing in Photoshop and Manga Studio 5EX (aka Clip Studio).

Excellent results...
MM DAZ-Poser The divide widensI only paid 50 bucks for my Poser 11 upgrade from Poser 7 during a promotion sale. Saves me from investing in LAMH and other plugins for things that aren't native to Studio.
You can still buy older versions of Poser on Amazon for about $30.00, so the price of the software itself isn't an issue. However, toss in the cost of the base V4 and M4 starter bundles, or Dawn/Dusk, and you've now spent as much as you would to upgrade your choice of Genesis figure with the comparable morph sets for DS. At that point, it comes down to what each software's "killer ap" is, and for the novice user, DS clear strength is autofit whereas, for the longest time, Poser's last big advantage over DS was dynamic cloth and hair. With the introduction of D-Force, however, that difference has been halved and if the buzz we're hearing is correct, will soon go away altogether. This is not to say that Poser isn't still a viable alternative for those who are already invested in it, but it's hard not to look at the tiny amount of development that's been done on the base software since it was acquired by Smith Micro and expect very little additional advancement with the next gen when/if it comes.
