Do I need morph fits and unimeshs if I own wear-them-all?
Technically Generation 3 figures were unimesh as they were all derived from the same base mesh. However V3 and A3 were provided as different figures with custom rigging.
Generation 4 introduced the idea of named characters as morphs for the base figure. "Unimesh fits" were simply add-ons for an item to add custom morphs to support those named character morphs.
They were quite useful at the time. There was no auto-follow for morphs but there was "transfer active morphs" in DS3, and fFor Poser you needed programs like morphing clothes to transfer morphs. But even with those tools, custom morphs usually give a better fit.Michael and Friends Appreciation Association [Images] Pt 2Saw the promos for TangoAlpha's upcoming Jazz Corner, started listening to Cab Calloway, and got inspired.
Was a real pain to assemble, but hey.
Owen 8 with modifications, my Iridesence shader for the velvet on jacket and hat. Shirt and necktie come from H&C Business suit for G3M, jacket from Morphing Business Suit for Genesis (and boy was THAT a pain to get looking right), and of course facial hair from Beard Boss.
The lovely hat is also from Morphing Business Suit, expansion 1. It's a great fedora with a LOT of ability to morph it as desired. And given it's a hat, easy to use cross generation.
Good likeness although Cab Calloway was a musician I've heard of but never had seen a picture of so I had too google his pictures. Didn't know DAZ 3D had a zoot suit available either. LOL, my dad is wearing a zoot suit in one of his old pictures.

Classic Biker JacketThe collar on this is different, but I'm guessing that this isn't quite what you'd want anyway (it's also G3M but should autofit/transfer just fine): https://www.daz3d.com/biker-bandit-for-genesis-3-male-s
Looking through the store, it looks like that kind of jacket gets produced for the guys every other generation.
Unfortunately, this isn't that generation.
Do I need morph fits and unimeshs if I own wear-them-all?I honestly never understood what the unimesh was? I came in about the time of Genesis, but did buy generation 4 and some unimesh. I can't remember if I ever used it.
I think that Unimesh only came in for Generation 4 figures, it doesn't apply to Generation 3 or earlier. Vicky 3, Aiko 3 etc. were all different figures but Vicky 4 was the base generation 4 female figure, Aiko 4, Stephie 4 etc were all morphs for Vicky 4. Similarly Hiro 4, David 4 etc. were morphs for Mike 4. Clothes were made to conform to Vicky 4 or Mike 4, and Unimesh clothes had morphs to shape them for the other figures. Older versions of Daz Studio and Poser couldn't transfer morphs from figures to clothes so clothes for Vicky 4 wouldn't fit Aiko 4 etc. unless they were unimesh versions.
[Released] Misumi HD & Signature Smile HD Expression for Genesis 8 FemaleDamn. Cash not sticking to screen. HD morph is separate too I hope; I love it that they are. I mean, like they are with Miriam and Sahel. Is Lyra's? Realised I don't own the character.
HD is not separate no, hasn't been for Sahel or Miriam.

Thanks Mollytabby and you're welcome!
I don't think my skills at a stage where I could transfer the shoes easily either haha

DigiDotz Freebie Thread (latest.. JellyOnPlate :-P)@DigiDotz I'm still in the early stages of learning Daz Studio, but I have been collecting your freebies. I really do appreciate all the wonderful freebie items listed in your threads and all the other threads where people are being so generous with their time and skills. Hopefully one day I'll be able to do something similar.
As a big 'thank you' here is Salem for Aiko 8 wearing the Dress for G8F, the LIE Stockings for Genesis 8 Female and seated on your Pouffe Prop. I'm so sorry my skills are not yet at a stage where I can transfer the GF3 shoes to Salem, but perhaps soon.
HD Wrinkled Soles and Bend MorphsI would be very interested by a morph like this one and think it should also cover G3F.
A flexed foot should show wrinkles to look realistic which is not the case actually. I really hope some designer will adress this weakness...
Wrong eye directionI rendered again with the default light to better be able to comapre with your render. I think they look the same, but I'm not sure. Which means it might be when you dial a morph that the eye issue occur?
200 Plus Head and Face morphs for Genesis 8 (Commercial)Yes I did use this script to transfer morphs from G3 to G8 Is that the issue?
Quite possibly, as the two sets sem to use the same names. "Duplicate formulas" means there are two sets of isntructions to link Property A and Property B, where A and B are names - if, as seems likely, converting the old set of morphs keeps their original names then it is easy to see how that might arise.
AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO? PARTE UNDICIHo visto un video su Youtube dove spiegava come ricreare il viso di una persona reale con Genesis 2, ha impiegato solo tutti i morph che esistono di Genesis 2 più un character o due come base. Economico :P

Raptor – The Feathered Dragon ??oh no sigh
mebbe a morph mask.
just realized there be no texture for the front legs, doh, i haz to return it
Wrong eye directionI load the Genesis 3 male base character and do nothing. No pose or morph and it still looks as if the eyes are not correct. The settings are all at 0 tho.
Wanderer's Oasis@Linwelly - I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right place, but if I apply all the HD Ollie morph all the way to 100%, in the parameters tab, it then shows the SubDivision Level is 1 and the Render SubD Level (Minimum) is 2. What should it be?
Rendering, Posing or Animating in Blender? All in all my bottom line is you definitely need to be familiar with blender to use it, but if you are familiar with blender you get most of the good features of genesis kept while adding the possibility of a whole lot of blender functionality.
And if you're interested in animation between it and Eevee coming with 2.8 there could be a *really* nice workflow.
I am indeed interested in animation and have been trying out a few exports from DAZ Studio to Blender in the past couple of days. I'm hitting a few road blocks, however, probably due to my own inexperience and lack of knowledge.
I used Diffeomorphic to get a G3F figure from DAZ Studio to Blender, having first animated her by converting a V4 aniblock (thanks to @zaz777 ) to work with G3F. Sadly, the animation did not transfer with the figure so I ended up with a static object in Blender. I then tried to export the animation separately as a BVH file but importing that in Blender creates a new animated rig and I don't yet know how to apply that to the already existing figure. A little research has suggested using another Blender Add-on called Makewalk but I need to watch a few more YouTube videos on that. I also notice that the exported BVH doesn't include the pectoral bones (perhaps others too). The reason I mention pectorals is because I was also trying out another excellent freebie script which simulates breast movement in DAZ Studio animations.
So some progress but a lot of learning still to do. Any tips and advice would be gratefully welcomed. Of course, I have not yet tried a clothed figure so the difficulties of exporting animated clothing from DAZ Sudio (dForce??) has not yet surfaced but ... baby steps.
I think the pectoralis bones must be part of Breast Control product you have bought because none of my Genesis models have such bones.
You are probably correct because the thread describing the breast movement script says that Zev0's Breast Control is required.

So I'm wondering whether the DAZ Studio BVH export can only cater for a base G3F figure.
Wanderer's Oasis@Linwelly - Thanks. I'm waiting for support to get back to me, but I wanted to see if someone else knew something while waiting. I tried him with HD, with Edward's normal map in place of his own, with removing the Ollie morph from G8M altogether. The issue persists. Let me look at the scene again. Oh, and I also tried reinstalling Ollie.
