  • Is there an EASY was to create my own morph character?

Well, I can't help with the hair, but you can set the figure's resolution to Base and SubD 0 and export to obj with all your morphs on.  Then you can use Morph Loader Pro to reload as just one morph for your own use.  You can't re-release that, but if it's a character you use a lot it can save time and space.

The other time this doesn't work well is if it's a character that is super bulky (Massive-scale muscular or George-level overweight) because those characters really need JCMs that you can't preserve if you combine the morphs into one.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, most of my guys are on the muscly side. This guy I just finished and he's at about 2min to save with only pants, lol. He does have a high SubD level (as well as the hair), and I know all that adds up. The one that sits around three minutes isn't as bulky but is just as toned. I don't think any of my guys can bend without the help of JCMs. It's a very useful suggestion for my girls though...but they don't take nearly as long to save.

  • Xenogirl HD for Zelara 8 - how to change face

You could possibly use some of the face shapes in this set of morphs.

    https://www.daz3d.com/ej-alien-creator-morphs-for-genesis-8-female-s

There may be other alien morph shapes out there you can use, too. For the texture, I haven't seen them, but you can probably use the heal tool of GIMP or PS to copy and blend elements of the alien skin into the face texture.

  • Is there an EASY was to create my own morph character?

I purhcased various face morphs and by mixing & matching a dozen or more of them, I was able to create unique looking characters (5% of morph #1, 12% of morph #2, 7% of morph #3, etc.). The problem is that by including all of these morphs, each character is now 40-60MEG in size. Is there a SIMPLE way that I can convert my character to be it's own character taking up less space?

  • Transferring JCMs

I'm making some progress, though not how I originally had thought. I purchased X-Morphs and loaded Michael 7's torso, as that is the shape that was bugging me the most with Swole 7. The thighs I am able to tweak way down via previously purchased morphs.

Still, I would love for someone to be able to clue me in on how to make a larger-framed character and not have him literally fold when posing - or is that just a limitation with the DAZ character itself? Would I have better luck with Gen 8? I hope the answer there is a resounding "no" because I did check out ways to transfer morphs from Gen 3 to Gen 8, and even though I would only want to transfer the face shape, my head still spins trying to read all of the steps and methods. There's like 27 pages and each page says something different, lol.

  • FaceGen: Aspect Ratio 1 & Perfecting Faces in Daz

Thank you for your replies. smiley

I'm sorry if I've confused anyone. I (sometimes) have difficulty with explaining things.

I thought I would try and resize the face map in a image editing program, then import/export it through FaceGen for use in Daz. But, I still got the same result. So, I'm using the Genesis 3 maps on Genesis 8, along with an item from the store, Ultimate Iray Skin Manager.

Thanks for explaining the aspect ratio... thing.

You can export the final version of the face as an obj, reload it as a morph using Morph Loader, and then save it as a morph asset. If you named it the same thing as the Facegen version, and used the same folder as the facegen version, you could thereby overwrite the original. Depending on what morph dials you were using to refine the Facegen results, you might not be permitted to share your morph dial as part of a free or paid item. (Dogz's 200 Morphs packs and Thorne's morph packs come with merchant resource permissions, but many other morph packages do not).

The only morphs I use are the Face morphs, Body Morphs and Expressions that go with the Genesis ? Female/Male figures.

The reason why I've been taking so long to reply to this thread, is because Daz and I don't get on when it comes to creating morphs. So, I've been saving characters as presets. The characters that I've been trying to save as morphs, are for my own use (for now, at least). Hopefully, I'll be able to get the morph problem solve at some point in the future :)

Thank you for the help and the replies heart

  • Is the SDK necessary or is DAZScript sufficient for affecting vertices?

    Hi all,

I'm working on a plug-in that affects the motion of vertices (stored as an animated morph). Is DAZScript sufficient for this, or do I need the SDK?

    Thank you

  • Xenogirl HD for Zelara 8 - how to change face

I don’t see any alien face pictured in the promos so you will probably need to sculpt your own morph and make some mat

i'm not skilled to do that ... maye just by trying to create a mat from the existing body one ...

It looks to me like the separate HD morph is for the human side of the character ;) Too bad it wasn't included with the pro bundle. I think it belongs there...not sure how many I'll buy if they go separate again.

Okay, so I finally got the shorts looking a bit better but they're tearing when it's morphing. I really need help with this, it's been extremely frustrating. Even in the resting position they're not looking 100% correct.

This is how they SHOULD look (i took out all the wrinkles so they would be easier to work with):

This is what happens when I run transfer utility:

And this is what happens when I pose them:

Please help!!! I am really going mad tryin to sort this.

  • how to reduse bones on hip/pelvis/waist?

The hip and outer tigh morphs for something like the https://www.daz3d.com/genesis-8-female-body-morph-resource-kit

(there's three sets of these) would probably give you what you are looking for. Or https://www.daz3d.com/shape-shift-for-genesis-8-female-s

basically you'd have to check the body morph packs.

  • Aureska Hol HD for Zelara 8

Thanks Silver. I saw the options and items, but what I read there doesn't lead me to conclude with certainty that some elements of other products (like textures, or certain morphs--like the chest morph from Baryolax) are not required. I'd still like to have that clarified, if possible by the vendor.
