To download the manual version of the General Release you go to your product library and search for "4.x": https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_13176

There's no manual installer for the Mac version due to some technical problem with installers, but the windows installers should be there.

If I open it tho, it's still 4.9.

What is your issue? You should have Daz Studio General release in your Product Library, as a downloadable isntaller, or in Install Manager or Daz Central if you use one of the instalaltion applications.

How do you install? You onviously need to back up the content diectories, if you install through Install Manager (or, I think, Daz Central) you need to back up its Manifests folder, and you need to back up the configuration files and the database, which are in the AppData folder so they should be caught by any decent back up solution.

All good and well, but where to download the latest???

• 5249 entries with downloadable content (5155 Daz Connect, 80 DIM Only and 14 Manual Install (4 DIM, 2 Daz Central, 5 TC2+Plugins, Texture Atlas, FBX Plug-in and CCT) )
• 145 empty entries (bundles, inactive, gift card, PC+ membership)

DIM downloaded 5231 thumbnails (4 are missing : 14811, 34495, 34853 and 73655), it seems to be the best way to know the number of products to install.

I don't know if Central will let you install to non-default locations, but DIM definitely will. 

When trying to open the Genesis 8 base figure I get attached error message.

Since the figure DOES load, ofter clicking OK, does this error message actually mean anything?
Is there actually a 4.9.4.111 version?

I found the amazing guide by L'Adair, https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/338321/how-do-i-move-my-content-to-another-drive, and successfully got all my third party content moved and all the pathways setup. However, now everytime I try to run Daz Central it asks me to install Daz Studio again and freezes. Studio still boots up and runs.Why isn't it discovering the program?

For anything other than really, really basic setups, you are better off using Daz Install Manager.

My problem has to do with what i hope is the release version of 4.12 , the problem I'm having has to do with V4 and any other figure related to her 1 proviso my copy of V4 Base came via another Product but Studio failed to get Victoria 4 Base on top of that neither Daz Central or DIM or even Connect can Find the Product as it is Title shown on the Daz Site. Daz Studio only shows the titles of the contents of this Product.

When i did have V4 Base in D.S. 4.12 it was missing the picture instead it had a triangle with a ! in its place , i've tried getting the metadata to redownload but no go and when i open the it anything i clicked brought up a window (empty) and a query to choose something. thsi also happen with Aiko4 as well.

There is obviously something wrong with the DS 4.12 as most everthing else including Genesis (the original) works fine only V4 and A4 are incompativle with this version of the Studio , there should be a way to roll back to a previous version of the Studio wihout needing DIM or Daz Central and NO FORCED UPDATE to the Current version thank you.

 P.S. i don't think it's a pathing problems as  everything else shows up

Further note the files are where they should be they just don't show up in Studio at all it almost if something critical for V4 base is missing

Does anyone know IF Daz Studio could be ran under Steam launcher because it would make things a lot easier when asking for things like Screen shots.

Hello everyone. Something is wrong. I cant understand. I couldnt download Mega Terrain: Winter Edition in my PC. I tried via Daz Central, install manager and manual. Thank you.

I have tried to download Daz Studio from Daz Central multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled, and I still cannot get it to finish downloading. The download bar goes to 89% then stops and I have to click install again which brings me back to the 89% and the issue repeats. Any help with this porblem?

Many thanks for the suggestions. Before I downloaded Daz central I used DIM to download and install. The default directories were used and working fine until Dazcentral. I always display "Hidden windows and folders". Please forgive the following long comment. It is a copy of the help ticket I submmied and received only an apology for taking so long and request for more info.

I downloaded and ran the Install Manager Config and the Smart Content panel seemed to blink or refresh but no changes were made.I have more than one DIM account due to E-mail changes and not knowing how to delete a DIM account or change an account. DIM, in one account says I have 118 installed another says I have 225 ready to install and 15 installed(the ones downloaded using Dazcentral). I have been using the files that are indicating need to be installed for months. They are already installed. The files have never been moved. They were originally installed by DIM. Content Directory manger looks the same to me as before downloading Dazcentral. However the content database in CMS Cluster Directory > C:/Daz3D/application/Data/Daz3d/Content Database, was modified the same day as I downloaded Dazcentral So was Install Manager (empty folder) and My DAZ 3D Library, which has only what I downloaded after downloading Dazcentral. Is it possible that the pointers in the CMS Cluster Directory were changed when I downloaded Dazcentral? Daz 4.12 and 4.9. behave the same.
I really need some help as I promised to finish a project by weeks end and I can't without my Smart Content.

Set your Folder Options in Windows to 'show Hidden and System Files and Folders", and search for ContentCluster.  That's the folder with the CMS database.  DazCentral probably created a new one in a different location.  Set DS back to the old one and everything should be back.

  Can you tell me how to set DS back to the old one? What was the directory? I don't have a copy of what my original  Content Directory Manager heirachy but the only directory that could cause my problem is C:/Daz3d/Applications/Data/Daz 3d/Content Database. I do appreciate your time and attention

Non uso DIM solo download manuale. Il PC con Daz non è online. Difatti non so come scaricare il Bridge per Blender... Hai qualche idea per aiutarmi?!? :)

Puoi solo usare il DIM o Central da quel che vedo. Non so se Connect ti permette di installarlo ma in ogni caso devi connettere il PC a internet e scaricarlo.

Non vedo altri metodi... Se hai una wifi in casa ti basta un pennino wifi e lo connetti momentaneamente. Assicurati di avere un buon antivirus installato o perlomeno di avere Windows Defender ben aggiornato.

This produc is not for 'other applications' it is for Daz. Bridge from Daz to Blender for instance is showing on my Daz Central for product Daz to Blender is not showing not on Daz Central and not on Install Manager.

Perhaps this product does not exist?

One of my most favourite figures is Alexandra 8. Here is a render with her HD add-on version. Standing ovation to the artist(s) responsible for her creation.

The lighting comes only from the default scene light, and the room lights. I removed a wall infront of her, but I left the wall light in place to make it seem like there is a balcony or a large window reflecting on her brooch, which was originally white. I changed the large central pearl to a red gemstone to allow a better lighting effect. I also recoloured one row of the smaller gemstones to dark red.

I hope you like the scene.
