  • !! Store Issues - Known Problems - Please Read !!

    I am seeing stuff start to come through! I swapped to DIm this week from daz central (I thought something broke in central when my items went missing and it said uninstall). I am using the order number from the order page and downloading the entire order, and the green download order button.

    A huge thank you! I'm not sure it is all orders, but checking, It is progress, and wanted to drop an update in case others may need to go into the order and try an update for DIM. I can't speak for central, but the items are showing there once installed. I tried a push all day so I am not sure which took or if this is recent. I've logged out and in several times, but this started at 10:15 central USA  time. A few worked and a few failed (a lot in the queue) but I can work on those to see if they install one by one. Earlier failed ones did take with patience and retries.

    My blue manual download button also appears to be working for most products now also. A few may not be daz connect ready but I will check those. I can work without a few honestly for now. I seriously did the MC hammer. Or the Carlton from fresh prince of bel air. Keep trying, keep showing the error code you get so they know where to look, and make a ticket if need be.

  • !! Store Issues - Known Problems - Please Read !!

    I know. I am trying to be patient but this is getting to be ridiculous. I'm sure we all feel that way. They are working their tails off, I'm sure. I work in IT and I know the nightmare that can happen. I know the time and patience involved. We always fix the people that are broken as fast as we can or offer a workaround until the cause is found and worked out. To this degree? No, I've never seen it before. but each prob is different when it happens. If my stuff stayed and I had to wait to buy more I'd be a little more understanding. It downloaded and went away.
    Good customer service would be to take the order and refresh (refund them and let us reorder them) on the new platform using the new system, but the prices won't match if that were even possible. That would also be a nightmare for them too. Of course, I have no choice but to wait. I waited on and off a bit for a failed download on the free item today, but it did eventually work. That is not the case with the big orders where all my money is tied up in. People are buying stuff including me, but none of the stuff from the day this started is accessible still. So I can wait for them to download even if they fail and eventually work.  That's the difference because they are not at all. I had the items in my content, then they went away.
    Some issues are in the store are still there but there is progress. Normally with patience, refreshing,  or another browser, you can still get stuff working to a degree or downloaded. This is not the case and has not for a week now on orders/downloads for some of us. the platform makes me nervous now. I do understand where you are coming from. I kinda regret buying so much at once. Its good people's gift cards are somewhat working, DIM is working mostly, I just hope we get the word about the transfer over for the orders, I want to at least know my purchased items will show up so I don't buy them again too. Each page of the item does not show purchased either. I literally have no way to be able to access it (manual download or not), or something else. I'm newer and dropped over $1200 into daz this month. That's prob nothing to some people, but for me a little scary. It just makes me feel uneasy that stuff goes missing in their software after it was there, you know? I already feel like a donkey butt for saying anything in the first place. 
    This response was for the "be patient" response I got first, not to Laurie's below post. Not trying to flame anyone, but I'm at day 7 so I am gonna stop buying until my previous ordered items come through. I don't want free items anymore. I just want the stuff I ordered even if it takes a while and even if it's a little at a time. I can be satisfied with something, but not nothing.

I tried manual options from the first screen and none worked. I know ya'll are working hard and I don't want to sound ungrateful. I'd have felt a little better if even some items started to work, but none have.

    You need to be patient. Below is the response, I got from Daz3D support about a similar issue, like yours.

    "I apologize for the recent inconveniences following our back-end system migrations. This is among a number of bugs that we are currently working to solve. Once there is a new updated solution for this I will gladly notify you."

    I wouldn't be very patient - 7 days is a long time to wait for items you paid for. This whole store thing has been a nightmare from the beginning. I appreciate the coders are putting out fires everywhere, but someone should have made double sure the store was working BEFORE migration by having beta testers pushing it to its limits before rollout. For an online store that's been in business for over 20 years, this is one of the most unprofessional things I've EVER seen. Nothing personal against any of the staff. I'm sure you're all working hard, but unfortunately your efforts are ineffectual. :( I can feel bad for you and yet still be appalled at this mess.

    I wouldn't be patient either, I would be furious. And I read in this thread about someone waiting a week for a giftcard and still haven' recieved it. As you I understand that everyone is doing everything they can do fix this, so this isn't personal either. But my storecredit will only last for todays pc+ for day purchase, which I have been postponing all day as it's so stressful to shop here now and it used to be just fun, so I will need a giftcard which code I will never get probably  as I don't get any confirmation emails anymore. But every other daz emails I get, newsletter, notes from the mods here about removed posts, but nothing that really matters like conf. emails. I can't used my creditcard as I have been the victim of creditcard fraud twice and promised myself never to use it online, so it's paypal and paying for individual stuff bought here through paypal will be too expensive. I basically live for rendering my Lara, besides my family and friends it's the most important thing to me. I usualy work most of my waken time to render, but the last few days I have hardly work at all, the stress of the store mess is destroying the joy I have in rendering and I take that serious. I need my rendering work to stay sane. So please for the love of god close the store until this is fixed WITH the promise of continue with the pc+ sale when it's open again. That way I can relax and start enjoy life and rendering again. Please don't delete this post, it's not off topic, if you delete this as well I will feel even worse, that I have no voice here, no right to speak at all sad. Please let this post stay here atleast.

    Yeah, I think next store migration they need to "hire" about 100 real customers all over the world with differing PC+ memberships, payment methods, number of products purchased already, work them over a month daily for the 'usual shopping they do', before the change goes live for like at $2500 store credit or something that makes sense for such a short term hire.

    I worked at a huge bank in their international cc processing daughter business and the developers and test staff accidently let test data pollute the live cc processing stream. That was much bigger trouble for them than this problem given how much customers depend on the integrity of the CC processing company's data even though operationally if was only a tiny blip in a massive stream of live data daily. Lucky I had nothing to do with that problem.

    I tend to agree. Working in the software business since more than 20 years, and having done a lot of migrations of various kind of systems (including online stores) of various sizes, I have never seen such a mess before.

    Typically the bundles don't include any products in them themselves to download, the downloadable items are in the products included in the bundle.

    Thanks for the reply! :) The product library page for the starter bundle does not have any picks or links to the individual products in the bundle in the library, I looked what was included in the store page and found them in my library, and clicking one of the products dim link lead to dim so I could successfully download and install everything in the bundle except for this:https://www.daz3d.com/fwsa-jenna-hd-for-ophelia-7. I get download failed in dim on that one, and the manual download says it is a network error and refuses to download. I'll open a ticket about it tomorrow, I'm really tired of bugs right now and have allready written a ticket today. But I have some positive news smiley, I finally managed to download Ancient ruins through dim that was impossible yesterday, I'm so happy it worked. Thanks for the gift, I'm glad I managed to download most of it, the one that failed will soon be fixed I'm sure smiley.

    the bundle is like the box that the goodies come in,   so the only thing you may find lurking in the empty bundle(box) is a cat. Possibly no even your own cat.

    We’re getting closer every day to the full expected site experience, and are able to keep making progress on more specific issues that present. As of 12:15 pm, 11/6, the following issues have been noted and fixed:

    • Pricing: the wishlist now shows the correct prices for most PC+ Members

    • Interactive licenses are showing up in product libraries, for those who have bought them

    • Video tutorials are playing throughout the website

    • DazCentral tutorials are playing

    We’re currently working on the following:

    • Credit card details for checkout: requiring to be saved

    Once again, the issues in this update, like those in previous updates, are fixed to the best of our knowledge. If these issues are not fixed for you, we do not know that yet, and ask that you submit a Customer Service ticket to let us know about what you are experiencing.

  • DAZCentral not downloading

    Update : DIM also reporting "download failed" for those products.

    DIM and daz Central are the same under the hood, so if one fails both would fail (barring a transitory glitch). Daz Connect - installing through DS - does use different code and different files to download.

  • Sales thread: Report Issues Here. & "There's Always Another Sale™"

    Ok, I was able to use the "GIMME-MORE" coupon now, but not all products can be installed. I bought Aiko 8, Miko 8 and Daisy 8 (no bundle), but only Daisy 8 can be installed. Both Daz Central and DIM don't work, DIM says "download failed!" for Aiko and Miko. Is this connected to the store? Might be worth a ticket...

    If you get that download failled message just keep trying, as I am getting it a lot and have to keep trying I get there in the end.. My guess is that the servers are getting hammered, as there are times where there is no problem and others where there are a lot of fails..

    Ah thanks for the tipp, that did work. Just tried it 20x, then it finally worked. I guess a lot of people buy stuff now. :)

    Ok, I was able to use the "GIMME-MORE" coupon now, but not all products can be installed. I bought Aiko 8, Miko 8 and Daisy 8 (no bundle), but only Daisy 8 can be installed. Both Daz Central and DIM don't work, DIM says "download failed!" for Aiko and Miko. Is this connected to the store? Might be worth a ticket...
