Complaint:  Arghhhh..., snow!  I didn't go out driving to do my chores yesterday.  I should have because this morning I woke up to 3 inches of snow on the ground, the roads all slushy, still snowing and 9 to 10 inches predicted.  Arghhhh.  I need to get groceries, go to the post office and take the garbage to the transfer station.  I guess I could walk to the first two if absolutely necessary and if I tie the full garbage bag closed it should keep for a few days. 

Non-complaint:  It's snowing outside and the the first snow always looks so pretty.  I've got peach brandy, I've got vodka, I've got lemonaid, I've got hot chocolate.  I've got milk and cereal.  I've got oatmeal and lots of frozen hamburg & ham and shrimp and I've got potatoes and bread.  Not many canned goods but at least I won't starve 'till the weather breaks and the roads get plowed. 

Or "ploughed" for those of you who still insist on using three letters where one will do.   I've been considering starting a "Ban the OUGH" organization.

Tell us again WHY you left Florida?  It hasn't gotten any colder here, and we didn't start getting snow.  I'm confused!    And don't tell us you "missed having four seasons".  We have seasons; you just have to stop and breathe once in awhile.  And the only people who say that are the ones who left Florida and now they're trying to justify their decision. 

I agree, we should ban the OUGH's.  And "colour" and "cheque", and "programme" too, while we're at it!  (apologies to KK)

I mean, really, next they'll be trying to make us spell it "doughnut" instead of its rightful and proper way, "donut!"  LOL 

You speak your language and let others speak their own language please.  I have never heard of a plow,  I do know what a plough is,and a ploughshare, am happy during the bad weather when I see the showploughs clearing the mountain roads.  

Do tell me, what do you have against Ploughs, when you allow tough rough, cough, bough, dough, that's only the little words though, although we mustn't forget borough, thorough, hiccough.  and so forth. If that's not enough where would you be without your sourdough to make artisan bread products. Have you had a breakthrough yet?  am I convincing you.

X-Morphs is a plug-in that supports all current versions of Genesis.

As long as the morph is all your own work you can sell it, as a morph for the base figure not a stand-alone figure. You can't use other morphs as ingredients, unless they are sold as merchant resources and used in accordance with the license terms.

There is only one item in Bride's Gold. Is there a way to fix that so we can get the full set of objects on download?

I suspect you use the Content Library rather than Smart Content, I do the same, in this case some products don't transfer into the content Library Categories section correctly from the Daz Studio Formats Section, they're present in the Formats Section but when you try to categorize them not everything copies across, why this happens I don't know but the only fix I have found is to uninstall, and reinstall and recatergoize the item, even so I don't have 100% success but the best hit rate comes when I use the method below:

1. Delete the Entry from the Categories section.

2. Close Daz Studio

3. Uninstall product via DIM

4. (Optional) Delete from DIM & Re-download product, this sometimes helps if this method doesn't work first time if you skip this step.

5. Install the package again & try categorizing the product.

A bit of a pain but it's the only solution I've found that works for products that don't categorize correctly first time around, and Brides Gold was one I had problems with, but it's now correctly categorized and working after the above method was used.

I can't guarantee that this will work, I've had a couple of products that need a couple of reinstalls and a couple that I simply can't get to transfer across correctly, even though they are in the Daz Studio Formats section and do work from there.

Yes, you just need to find the Runtiem and/or Data folders in the zip and merge those (and any other fodlers in the same folder in the zip) into your Documents/Daz 3D/Studio/My Library or Public Documents/My Daz 3d Library folder.

Additional Notes: I used this morph by divamakeaup. Someone wanted to create irt in CARRARA! It's an old thread though, but just thought I'd meantdion it since i used it.

The anatomical elements have been an add-on since Michael 3 - for 3 and for 4 they were in the morph packs, for Genesis and later they are in the Pro bundles for at least some of the adult male figures.

Thank you Richard, still dont make it right though, the product should be described as a gender natural character as it’s mis representation of goods for sale to describe it as a male.

Time to look elsewhere.

The product comes with textures for the genitalia, so he is indeed a male character even using your "male = having a penis" definition . The fact that there's a required product you need to own if you want to use those doesn't change that.

But It would be reasonable for the product page to say words to the effect of 'includes genitalia textures but if you must have genitalia to put them on you will need to purchase product X containing said genitalia'.  It seems to catch people out, often, the wild thought that there might be something to put the genitalia textures on in the same product.  Applies to female products similarly.

The only mention of Anatomical Elements is under Materials, there is not implication that it includes the mesh.

Actually, I think that including the AE materials with the figure leads to a reasonable assumption that you will be able to use those materials, at least without having to buy another product, let alone an expensive pro bundle. 

Of course you only need to have this assumption contradicted once to learn that this is how this works in Dazworld, and sure you can always return the product if you're not happy with that.  But I have seen this comes up a few times on the forum as a complaint especially from newcomers.  All it needs is a note on the product pages, for males and females, to explain the situation when gen maps are supplied.  Where would be the harm?

In the Path: area, just type in the path you want your morph to be found in, for example, Actor/Adjustments. Then click Accept.

Save your garment as a Figure/Prop Asset and save additional morphs you create for it as as Morph Asset.

This is an essentially out-of-the-box (morph-wise, anyway) Michael 8 availing himself of my latest textures/shaders!  I only added the cornea bulge, Adam's apple, navel, and nipples.

Transfer active morphs only works for parametric joint rigging, used by Gen 4/Poser figures. It will transform all the active morphs to the fitted item.

I recently finished my own personal challenge on my DeviantArt page, doing a render of each male character and figure, with their stock morph settings, starting with Michael 4.

That is amazing.  I could never be that organized.  I try to do a RRRR (Random Runtime) from time to time to force me to branc out (and use all that content I have acquired).

The online help says "Transfer the active morphs on the host figure to the items that are fit to it". If the head is selected will it trasfer only the morphs of the head to the items which are fit ti the head (if there are such at all)? Or all the morphs available on the host figure are transferred to all the items which are fit to the figure? If this is so, is this a way to fit for example G2 cloths or hair to G3 figure?

I modeled  simple skirt and blouse for G8F.  Skirt ended up fine.  Having trouble with the Blouse.

The blouse and skirt were modled to fit a custom morph and then the reverse to shape was used with the transfer utility.  This caused some undesirable results around the breasts.  I am trying to make a correction morph.  I loaded the figure (blouse)in Daz Studio along with G8F, and then selected the blouse and sent it across the bridge to Hexagon.   However, I can't seem to get the smoothing brush to work.  I try, but nothing happens.

Any basic help for using the smoothing brush?

ps - the offending faces are not trianles, even though they look like it.  that is what I am trying in part to smooth out.

I made a wearable for genesis 8 in blender. it works fine. i wanted to add morphs to it and make them appear in the shaping tab. i read some threads from the forum and i found out that the morph type must be "modifier/shape" and the path must be somewhere in "actor". but there is no actor level in the parameters tab. not in the imported obj, not after transfer utility or converting it to a figure and also not after saving it as a prop asset.

does anyone know how i get the actor level to parameters tab?

Only if you want her body shape. She doesn't actually require it for the character to work. If you try to load the full character, you might get errors when it can't find the morphs, but that won't happen with the head. So if you just apply the head morph out of the morphs options, you should be good to go.

Thank you for the info, I wasn't aware you could activate the advanced options for the bridge.  Works like a charm now.

The bridge works fine it was exporting from Hex as object file and the using morph loader pro to apply the morph with the reverse deformations option.  Now that advanced options are active for Hex bridge I can skip doing this all together.
