ID hoodie from CO Ichigo & Ichigo Hair product?
A quick store search threw up https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-bunny-outfit-for-sakura-8 - looks like a match for the full outfit.
But does it zip open? or was that something that Ichigo vendor did with a separate morph or whatever? Its the same hoodie since the textures match, but i need it to be able to zip open. I'm guessing that the product itself has the zip open feature. But for $27 i'd like to be sure. The bunny outfit doesnt clearly state it in the morphs list, none of the main promo images show it open or even with a zipper seam down the front. I think that one of the smaller images shows it zipped up halfway, but the i cant find a match for the texture used in that smaller pic on one of the bigger pics that clearly shows a hoodie.
Gooey Gum that stretches when stepped on?Don't know of a rigged version, but this product has options that would work great for a still render if resized https://www.daz3d.com/slime-attack-vol-1
This has some dforce options that might work also https://www.daz3d.com/sy-splats-drips-and-splatters-for-dforce
I second the slime attack. I own that product and it's very good for things like that. Easy to resize and comes with a lot of textures.
Do the slime attack props morph, so that it stretches?
There are no morphs, but you could always play with the scaling for effect.
A quick export as an obj into sculptris alpha would be a very quick way to get good results
Assuming the user has sculptris, LOL
Hair Tucked Behind Ear MorphThis is just a thank you shout-out to all the PAs who put "tuck behind ear" morphs in their hair products. EmmaAndJordi, I'm looking at you! Much appreciated.
Genesis 8 eye lashes do not follow face morph (updated/solved)Ok forgive the Zombie thread revival, but did anyone find a solution?
I think I just had this problem too, Eyelashes shrinking when a face/head morph is dialed in? (at least that thats the search that lead me to this thread)
While I dont have a solution, I have noticed what the issue is:
By default the following Eyelash Morphs are
PHMEyelashesCurl: 100%
PHMEyelashesLengthLower: 100%
PHMEyelashesLengthUpper: 100%
But after dialing up my face morph, All three of those^ are dialling back to -100%
It would seem that somehow our face morphs are causing those values to go in to Negative / Minimum values.
I can manually set them all back to +100% after dialing in my morph, and all is well, but obviously thats just a work around, not a fix.
Guess I'll email PA support and see what they say about it. If i find a solution Ill post it here.
[Unity] Blendshape + Animation = Weird ErrorI'm doing tests in Unity program with the Genesis 1 model:

I have been testing the morph that transforms it from adult to young. But this strange error appears when I play a run animation and turns the model into a kind of monster from Dead Space.

The animation is from this asset: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/3d/animations/move-motion-free-pack-25900
Does anyone know what is going on? Can someone help me to solve it, please?
Creating a Level Of Detail doesn't workI've been using Daz Studio together with ZBrush for quite a while now and almost everything works fine. But when I try to add another level of detail for a figure, the figure just disappears completely when I select the new level of detail. What am I doing wrong? I subdivided the figure in ZBrush, refined the sculpt and added more details. When I use GoZ to transfer it to Daz Studio, it opens up as a new Subdivision Surface. Then I export this version as an .obj file and try to import it inside the Add Level of Detail function. I don't get an error message and everything seems to be working. But when I choose the new Level of Detail, the figure just vanishes. Does anybody know how to make this work?
GoZ QuestionUpdate base mesh changes the default shape, it doesn't add a morph.
G8 to G3 clothing clones?You don't need a clone.
There's a better way to do it.
1 - Load G3 Male or Female (depending on the clothes)
2) Load the clothing item you want without fitting it
3) adjust the limbs on the clothes by +/-45 and +/- 6 until its lined up right. You can adjust from there for but it works out of the box 90% of the time as is.
4) Use the Joint Editor Tool (Alt-Shift-J, looks like a bone crossed with a pencle) and select the clothes then choose BAKE JOINTS.
5) Go to scene and click the Gen 3 Figure. Then Shift click your clothing. IT MUST BE DONE IN THIS ORDER
6) Go to Edit - Figure - Rigging - Transfer Rigging (Figure Space)
7) Go to Edit - Scene identification and then change the Perferred Base to the figure of chose.
Save your work as a new asset and enjoy your converted clothing. You might need some smoothing but it should do a pretty solid job.
Also works from G3 to g8.

G3 Female wearing a the Daylight Noir dress for Genesis 8 Female
Well, that's pretty much SY's tutorial in a nutshell. lol. Sickleyield provides a file with the pose you can just apply to the clothing. As well as instructions for converting hair and high-heeled shoes. That's why I always share the link. And it introduces people to her DeviantArt page, which includes numerous tutorials for using Daz Studio.
Huh. Forgot where I learned it, actually. Been doing it for a while.
And... I did not know about the files!
I bookmarked it for reference, and kept going back to it frequently when I first started converting clothing. I've been doing it long enough, I can do it without needing the reference anymore, but in the early days, (months, really,) I'd forget one step or another. Very frustrating. Converting simulations to morphs was another that frustrated me, until Richard posted a detailed step-by-step for me. (I turned that into a mini-tutorial here, if you're interested.)

Pose and animation conversion for multiple generations of DAZ figuresI haven't used Mixamo, but once converted to TriAx, Michael3 will accept V3 and Hiro meshes as FBM morph targets.

Trying it the "Zev0"- wayHi, one of my essiential tools is Bend control for G8 by Zev0. Now, I have a lot of pose fixing morph, that I've created for my character.
I need to have them applied automatically with the joints' rotations, and I need a master on/off (0-100%) slider switch for them, same way, as seen in Zev0's Bend Control product.

GoZ QuestionYes, I am looking for the morph in the Parameter pane. I thought in the past, if I left it set to Group Path: ZBrush, it would be visible at the bottom of the Parameters list - It wasn't. I even opened every item in the Parameters pane just incase it was in one of those, but it wasn’t there either. This puzzles me. That’s why I then tried saving it to the Group paths of: Morphs, General Transitions, etc. So I would know which heading/folder it should be in - nope! Not there either.
On a second note: As I said earlier, I had to choose the option to “Update the base mesh” to get the ZBrush morphs to apply to the saddle. You can imagine my frustration when I later reopened my saved (DAZ) dinosaur and saddle and saw that the morphs didn’t hold. I guess there is one more step I must do to lock in the changes. Grrrrr. Now I have to start all over again.
Import custom 3D model and use Genesis morphThis is awesome, you have surpassed any expectations that I might have, you rock Syrus.
It is a very detailed and well explained tutorial, I have tried it and it works like a charm. With this I can have a Genesis low poly model and add morphs that I buy in the future. Thank you very much for your help. And I also appreciate the help that the other members have given me, you are a great community.
Bear in mind for a redistributable game you will need a game developer license for every additional morph set you use as well as for the base set and it’s included morphs and since those are all $50 too it gets expensive fast!
Yes, I know, I was investigating and, in fact, I asked in this forum several months ago about the issue of DAZ licenses in videogames. I know it's expensive but DAZ has many morphs and they save me time and work of making them myself.
He'd be much better off looking into alternative resources.
What others alternatives are there to all the morphs in DAZ?
Body Chains 2 for G3+8F - how good is autofit on males?yep, straight out of the box. I figured I would go straigjht to my fav male morph which is fairly far from the base shape to see how much it distorted and I was happily surprised. I figure in the set you linked to the ones that drape off the arm might distort more since they are meant to be free flowing and not fitted, but the rest should do well.
yeah, i noticed the body shape in your render is nicely formed, not as neutral as base GM8, which means autofollow or whatsname replacing it seems to go well. i don't use supermuscular shapes like brute-ish etc, more fit Asian guys and/or rather androgynous/feminine dudes = no muscle bulges, at the maximum like what you rendered here so i hope no big surprise here. i'll examine the different sets closer, AFAIR the older ones are more divided between body parts while the newer ones pack stuff together, not sure any more ~
Genesis 8 Base problems in 3DL: male has no eyes and female is orangeThanks, I turned on GC and set gamma to 2.2, and now I can just make out the pupils of the eyes which are now just "mostly black". So the eye problem remains.
I have the AoA lights but didn't bring them up because I wanted to keep my example simple. Of course adding additional lights to the scene means that I don't have to crank any of them to 200%, but my point was that whenever I illuminate the subject enough to get a decent render (however I do that) the preview becomes washed out. To me this is in itself an indication of a problem. I understand that the OpenGL engine only provides a rough approximation of the 3DL render, but the lighting difference of the preview and the final render is not subtle.
I can't really see a problem, preview is not to be trusted:)
I want to be able to do basic 3DL renders because my ultimate goal is to use Visual Style Shaders (which require 3DL) for a cell-shaded anime look.
I tried tweaking all render settings with extra time spent in the Sampling submenu, but nothing affected the black eyes or the orange skin of the girl. So I still can't use Genesis 8 Base in 3DL. :( Any other suggestions?
The eye problem is most certainly a surface setting issue, as is the orange skin of the girl. I don't have G8 installed atm, but post the settings for the eye surface/moisture, sclera, iris and pupill, (are there other eye surfaces?). For the eye moisture/cornea, try the DS default shader, lighting model glossy plastic, diffuse strength 0, spec color pure white, glossiness 88%, spec strength 100%, opacity 0, multiply specular through opacity off, reflection 50% pure white, refraction strength 100, index of refraction 1.33, color pure white. Also if there is a cornea bulge correction morph or similar, turn it on!
'As for the girl, I'd look into the SSS settings and adjust something in there.
Using a specified figure character using another figureAll G8 based figures works with each other: Just go to the Shaping Tab and look for Inj. Head or Body
from the figure you like. You can also go to the other Shaping Tab and dial in as much procentage of
what you want from another figure.
You can even go to Material Tab and choose Skin, Eyes, etc from another figure...I was just wondering how it would work without a specificed figure.
Hi, Geo.

It's a good question.
When a character states it's for a base figure, the PA started with the base figure when sculpting the new figure. How different the character looks without the base is dependent on how much of the base was used. (I've got a number of characters that use 50% face and 50% body from the base.)
I did find this post from the Zelara 8 thread in The Commons, which includes renders. (If you are specifically interested in Xenogirl, keep in mind the spikes on the back are a morph from Zelara, so without the base figure, you won't get the spikes.)
ETA: I see My 3D Spin answered before I got my links together. But I still want to share those links, so here ya' go.
I took a look at that thread. Wow! She looks fine without Zelara, but I get why she was specified and as you mentioned, she will not have the spikes. However....I bought this package:
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-miellyn-outfit-for-genesis-3-and-8-female-s
She has spikes on her back too. So those might probably work.
Thanks!
You're welcome.
(You know, "There's always another sale!" You will undoubtedly have the opportunity to pick up Zelara at a great price at some point in the future.)
