Genesis 3 characters morph convert to genesis 8
i really don't know if it already was asked but i would really loved to have a morph convert from g3 to g8 characters, like the hair and cloths convert, a option to convert g3 any g3 character(male or female) go g8, g3 have some really cool characters, like a black girl in the centaur 7 which i would love to be able to use her morphs in g8 since g8 already support g3 textures then would be awesome to have it support also the characters, be able to export and apply morph shapes would be really awesome.
Domino HD for G3 & G8 Load errorsThis error is being caused because One of the Domino HD characters - Thora - is sharing a morph name with LY Briallen (the morph name is LY_XXX if I'm recalling correctly). The fix is to edit the dsf files for Domino_Thora and LY Briallen and replace all instances of LY_XXX with the correct id/name For Thora, it was FHM_LY_Domino_T in the fhm file, CTRL_LY_Thora_Domino in the ctrl file. For Briallen, CTRL_LY_Briallen for the ctrl file, FBM_LY_Briallen for the fbm file, FHM_LY_Briallen for the fhm file, JCM_LY_Briallen_LForearmBend_75 for the L jcm file, JCM_LY_Briallen_RForearmBend_75 forthe r jcm file, PHM_LY_Briallen_ears for the phm file.
All of that cleared up the duplicate formulas issues I encountered between these two products.
Need RecommendationsI want to fit Aiko 3 clothes to Genesis 2, 3 and 8, what are the best recommendations for accomplishing this, mostly am interested in the conversion to Genesis 2 Female, since I have the morph packs for it
Duplicate Formulas on Genesis 8 FemaleI can't load any G8F character, including the basic, without getting this error message. When I load the basic figure and look at the currently used morphs, I see that three eyelash morphs have been added as a default. Anyway, I am a vendor over at Renderosity and they won't pass any of my G8F products until this is resolved. Is there a fix coming?
For example if you load the G3F, with the installed G3F package alone without any other package, you see in the log that there's an error because it requires a morph that's in the commercial head morph package. This was never fixed. Is this a bug (as in causng problems) or just a notice that there's an unresolved link? The latter is perfectly harmless, it just means (in most cases) that there is a corrective morph (for a bend or another morph) which is to kick in only when some morph is set - if you don't have that morph then the link can't be established, triggering a warning in the log, but since you don't need the correction it doesn';t matter.
No one asked me - Diomede screenshots on whatever - Warning AI Discussion OKHere is the raw rigging of the Claymation male for Carrara and Studio. Both are posed and rendered in Carrara.
This screenshot does not include any adjustments for weightpainting or JCMs.
In this raw version, I think Carrara rigging is superior. However, Studio rigging can be better because of better tools to adjust weight painting and better control of JCMs and ability to use the transfer utility for clothing accssories.
No one asked me - Diomede screenshots on whatever - Warning AI Discussion OKCarrara is limited to one joint weight per vertex per joint. This includes all directions of joint bend affecting that vertex Some other programs allow separate weighting on the selected vertex for each direction of rotation of a joint. One solution is a morph to be used when the weightmap yields an unwanted result. For the Carrara-rigging version of my male and female claymation figures, I created a blank morph for each joint. Can make adjustments as necessary. The ERC plugin should allow a person to make a true joint correction morph in each direction of rotation but I have not done so yet.

I've also rigged a version of the male claymation using.Daz Studio rigging, which allows more control. It works fine in Carrara. To me, no different than using figures like the millenial dog and cat that were rigged i Poser's old system and work fine in Carrara. Here is a screenshot of the claymation female rigged in Carrara. A few of the joint morphs can be seen at the top of the list (neck, sternum)
Neko Base Figure Used? That is Neko HD herself https://www.daz3d.com/neko-hd-for-genesis-8-female (for G8F, custom character that doesn't require other morph packs, just the G8F starter essentials.)
The hair, character, outfit all come in the same bundle https://www.daz3d.com/neko-bonus-bundle
Duplicate Formulas on Genesis 8 FemaleI am getting this message as well, but when I check the log, there are a lot of "duplicate formulas" that show up. And it is happening with multiple characters.
Yes, it will - when you load the base figure, or any character for the base figure, it reads in all of the morph data and so hits the duplicate formulas (it doesn't keep the deltas, the actual shapes changes, in memory for shapes that are zeroed but it needs to read everything in and keep the relationships - the formulas - so it knows which sliders to show and when they will be triggered).

In my experience this is pretty common. Also I give up with daz support since they are often unable to solve issues, even when you provide the solution to them yourself.

If you ask me, the DAZ quality control seems to be more worried about "nice pictures" than working assets.
GenX2 error messageI could use some help with an error message when I attempt to use the GenX2 script in Studio. As far as I know I have all the plugins and etc to be able to use the app. I've used the script several times sucessfully before this week and can't understand why it suddenly won't work. I was attempting to transfer a morph from David 3 to Genesis 3 Male. I loaded the CR2 file that contained the morph I wanted to transfer. I selected my morph and clicked "Transfer". The error message I got was "Target figure is not supported for selected figure or shape". I thought testing other figures. When I select "Source", Genesis 2 Female and Genesis 2 Male are grayed out. Genesis 3 Female and Genesis 3 Male are the only ones listed. Genesis for some reason is unavailable. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it thru DIM and that didn't work. I tried doing it manually with the executable from the product page and that didn't work. I'm at a loss as to what I'm missing here.
Buy Something That Doesn't Work in Carrara? Post your Questions and Workarounds here. (please)i have the add on. it works.
are you loading the fox standard? as in not the lamh version
you could load the red fox and manually dial the morph.
figure is triax, doesnt need converting.
just needs some rara furr
Oooooo, looks good. I was loading standard. I've messed up installation, I expect. But not sure how. If I can get him to work, I will happily share fur when I'm done.

SimTenero Randomizer Characters Showcase Thread Everyone WelcomeCame across this thread and thought I would post my first attempt. I had purchased the product (Randomizer 2 plug in), but with the download of DS 4.11 beta, for some reason it did not transfer over to the folder for 4.11. After sorting that out, I came up with this.
May 2019 - Daz3D New User Challenge: Action & Props
Here's my first entry. I'll fix up some of the details that didn't come out so well, if the picture on the whole meets the requirements. How important is it to have the tops of the fishing rods in the picture?
Very fun..lots of fun details (I can see the work on the characters that you've done morph wise) and I really like all the little details. (PS that is one crazy fish they just caught LOL) As for things to try, I might play with the camera a bit...maybe pull forward a bit more (to get more of the water and a touch less of the background - not tons just a little maybe) and then maybe play with the depth of field to blur the background a touch more (and maybe a bit more of the background) to draw your eyes more to the people. Very fun image
Buy Something That Doesn't Work in Carrara? Post your Questions and Workarounds here. (please)Yes the mouth open does work but not all the morph sliders available do
there are different types of morphs some are sort of pose morphs and not all work on many of his animals
again as Diomede said on the fox
I don’t have the fennec addon either
AIUTO...CHI CONOSCE L’ITALIANO?
E perché a 100 pagine riiniziate?
Limite di archiviazione, credo. Oltretutto risulta iniziato da me, mi fa sentire un pezzo grosso!

@ Muscleman

Not sure what the issue is I loaded the version from my location where DUF files usually are (so assuming duf version). It loads without an error. The limbs, neck, and head bend so I assume the rigging is OK. The morphs appear to work. Here is the mouth open morph.
Is there something specific I can check for you?
EDIT: I don't own the fennec add-on. Sorry, re-read the above posts. If that is the issue, I can't test it.
Younger Characters and scalingAre you using the shaping sliders or applying the character preset? In some cases only the latter, or possibly the full-body morph slider, give the scaling while using the indfividual head and body sldiers doesn't adjust overall size.
How to save a dress morph (or a dforce state)Hi Richard, James,
Thank you so much. The method as you described work, especially the part where you have to hide everything.
Now, I have encountered another (small) issue. As the morph also 'remember' the auto resize to the character shape, I just want to confirm if this is the correct workaround:
a) Save the initial dress morph base on genesis 8. Load base genesis 8.
b) Load the dress and fit on g8, load the morph.
c) Select the character you want on genesis 8, apply morph on g8.
This is the step which I'm not particularly confident on as I usually just load the character I want directly. I couldnt pinpoint an exact issue, but I remember I have encounter certain odd issue if I do this genesis 8 then character step (perhaps incorrectly).
