I would love to download 4.15 directly, but can't find where. It always points me to Daz Central.

I tried installing DAZ Central again, against my better judgement, and it gives all kinds of Windows and AVG Anti-virus warnings. Yes I downloaded the install module directly from DAZ.

When it finally did install, I get an error dialog over a blank window. See attached image.

I doubt anyone from Daz regularly checks this thread, but if you click on GALLERIES then there's a 3-month-old notice saying that they'll be back soon, and there's a more recently added button underneath it that says DOWNLOAD DAZ STUDIO, which takes me to a page where I can download... Daz Central. There are three buttons on the DOWNLOAD DAZ STUDIO page, all of which download---you guessed it---Daz Central.

Now suppose I'm unfortunate enough to live in a territory in which the regime has decided to ruin the economy, and I've got a lot of free time on my hands: I've heard about this thing called daz3d. I come to this site to download it, but I can only download Daz Central. Does downloading Daz Central also download Daz Studio? Has Daz Central, with its inherent flaws, become the de facto default download method for newbies? It appears so. Well, perhaps it would be helpful for Daz to add a note that Daz Central will allow you to download Daz Studio.

Why are you installing manually - using Install Manager/Daz Central avoids these issues.

Daz Central should pick up your DIM settings, though I would not think it likely to be abetter solution for an experienced user - the whole point is to simplify things for new users.

DIM can install content from other stoes (or freebies) if it is correctly set up, but of course most isn't.

Central is a dumbed down version of DIM, don't change.  Furthermore neither Central or DIM can install content from other sites.

I have the feeling that DAZ Central is the better solution when it comes to the management of DAZ products from the DAZ store and also thirdparty content and I have yet to make the shift. 

I have tons of products installed through the manager and I am wondering if there is a smart way to make the shift from the Install Manager to Central?
Should I do this in a particular way or just plain deinstall the Manager and install Central?

Some tips would be very helpful, in case there are things that could waste a lot of time or create problems if not done correctrly. 
Or maybe it's simpler than I think?

over the last three years I have spent a lot of money on DAZ products and I am now just wondering if I should back them up or will my DAZ account always allow me to acces these products through the Install Manager or DAZ Central again?

What would be the most elegant way to back them up?
Should I download all files manually from the store by accessing my orders?

I know everyone wants 4.26 unfortunately it is not a one-click install but, here is a workaround in the meantime.
This more easier done with Install Manager but, can be done with Daz Central as well. 
First off there should be a new update for everyone make sure you update before following these steps.
There will be a file on your pc now it is downloaded when you installed the Bridge. 
Step to find the file.  
1. The Default location will be "C:/Users/Public/Documents/DAZ 3D/InstallManager/Downloads"

2. Search for "IM00072003-04_DazToUnreal464bit.zip" and unzip it. 

3. Once its unzipped, open up the folder "Unreal_Engine_4_(64-Bit)"

4. Inside there you will find "DaztoUnreal_4.26"
To install DaztoUnreal for 4.26 you will need to manually install the Unreal Engine Side. 

1. Open up your plugin folder by default it will be. C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_4.26\Engine\Plugins

2. Copy "DazToUnreal_4.26" to the Plugin Location.

3. Rename the Folder to "DazToUnreal"

4. Open up Unreal Engine and it should ask you to enable the plugin. 
This will only be temporary until we can make it an automatic option.

Title pretty much says it all. I don't want 4.15, it seems it's as buggy as a swamp in the summer.

Every time I open DAZ Central, it continues to downl 4.15, and until DAZ gets the problems under control, I don't want it to update.

I don't know what you mean when you suggest I remove my library data folder from my Daz content in preferences. Do I remove a library from a bigger library?

I have been thinking for while about somehow tidying up my library. It's a bit of a mess. there's so much I'd like to delete but I can't find a way to do that from within Daz where I can see what I'm deleting.

It's Genesis 3 I'm using, not 8. I've bought a lot of stuff for 3 and I don't like the idea of wasting it especially when 8 doesn't seem that much better.

I use Daz Install Manager because Daz Central just won't load.

My reply:

well, I just simply bought the updated one on unreal market place that works with 4.26 ( and it works extremly well and has some features that daz is missing or is going to update? ) so i can assume my work and David V ( The developer ) keeps it up to date much faster than Daz, I mean 4.26 has been out for almost 90 days.. December 3. ...And David V's support is beyond helpful.. so while it may be free at Daz, Free is not always better..... The plugin in Daz central is meant for Unreal 4.25. It doesn't work with 4.26 (yet).

It was just updated and says now works with 4.26  refer to my above post
