Could it be that Daz 4.15 is not connecting? I try to connect and it gave out. You see, Daz Central connects so, I was able to load my stuff in but, Daz Install Manager and, Daz 4.15 give out when connecting. Could it be the connection.

Interestngly enough, the .DUF says that they should be there, but when then installed, the presets went into People/Genesis 8 Female/Shapes.

Currently the only thing that I find if I follow the g8f characters rawart folder is the sphinx.

Do I phyically move them to the required section? (As in go into my file manager and move them?)

Also, I just checked with a G8F character - there are no dials for massive in the paameters list you gave me. Again, sphinx dials, but none for massive. This was installed from DAZ Central. Shall I uninstall it and use the ZIP file instead?

ETA: just checked the ZIP file, and it says that the presets are to be installed to People/Genesis 8 Female/Shapes/RawArt.

Hmmm ... it is not a good idea to use both DIM and Daz Central ... did you change something recently? Is anything else acting funny?

I made a mistake when I called it DAZ Control. I was meaning Daz Central. I found out how to uninstall the program and then reinstall it. But the program is still having issues. For some reason, I am seeing a small camera on the screen with the figure and it is preventing me from being able to do anything like moving the body parts. I will try and click on the arms to move them up or down, but the camera is in the way, and I have no idea how to get rid of the camera.

I have this issue for awhile, sometimes you will see a load bar pop up on the bottom right hand corner of the screen, it will show a yellow update bar as when you first start up Daz3D it will check metadata and update files if your online, seems one file is always unsuccessful when updating the metadata making it slower to load in, sometimes this yellow update bar doesn't appear but its still doing the same thing, checking the files.

If you have downloaded new content it and installed it via the install manager or DAZ central it will also take some time to update files to your product list, you will see a file count under the yellow bar telling you the number of files being updated so if you have added a bunch of new content it can be slower to load the first time you install them into the editor.

I shave my head too, and it always feels amazing afterward!

Ladies, you should do this for your legs too.  Real shaving cream, a sharp single-eged blade, and a sinkfull of hot water.  It'll make you forsake your religion and immediately re-adopt it, lol!

Well I see your problem:  She's playing a Marshall Stratocaster.  Marshall makes amplifiers!  Even the lowliest Fender Squier would probably be better!  If you really loved her, you'd figure out how to to upgrade her to a Jackson Strat with a whammy bar and locking tuners so that her guitar would return to correct tuning after her solo dive-bombing during the bridge of the Van Halen song, "Hot for Teacher".

And if you wanted to see her play in the big time one day when Alvin and the Chipmunks finally get to tour with Trans Siberian Orchestra or the travelling Circue du Soleil shows, then you'd realize that her potential knows no bounds and you'd just go all out and get her a custom axe made personally by Paul Reed Smith himself!

There is no Daz Control.There is Daz Central, Daz Connect, and Daz Install Manager. Which did you use?

I am having some issues with DAZ Studio, and I want to uninstall it and then reinstall it. How do I uninstall it? I uninstalled DAZ Central and then reinstalled that without any problems.

Why is Daz Central showing my assets as install when they are already installed?

Hey there! Just bought [Alla Expressions for Genesis 8 Female] and the expression pack that comes along with it, but whenever I go to the product in Daz Studio only the zero option shows up. I tried uninstalling and re-installing using Daz Central and DIM but nothing has worked so far, would really appreciate the help!

NOTE: Also tried manual install and all I could find was DSON support files for the expressions, I can't find the .duf files that would usually be files for the expression functions, see attached screenshots.

It has nothing to do with either Connect or Central. No content was uninstalled from computers, the missing products are products which should show as purchased (and be listed in product library) but don't.

Check the status of your order from yesterday, if it's not listed as "returned" then nothing will be missing.

I just typed "[character name + generation number] Pro" and saw the Pro Bundles listed but the base and the Starter Bundle character gone. However, I was cautious enough to do this for a few Pro Bundles, not all of them. They're still missing and I never got an email about it. Sent in a ticket, but I have my doubts it'll get responded to quickly.

Whether DIM or Central doesn't matter if they are not configured to install to a proper library Studio knows.  Smart Content will gleefully show content that is not installed properly because it is a databased system.  As Sevrin asked can you see and load the file from Content Library pane?

Hi Sevrin, I have tried installing through Daz Central.

I got a solution from tech support and it worked:

There have been some compatibility issues reported between the "Daz to.." bridges and Central, and I would recommend that you uninstall this bridge via Daz Central and attempt this install process through DIM after you first ensure that path file is properly mapped to 2.92 under your Applications path within DIM. To do this:

1. Open DIM

2. Click on the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of the window

3. Locate the path for Blender and ensure that it is similar to C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\2.92

4. If no path is defined for this application, I would recommend using DIM to define this path

If you are not familiar with this process in DIM:

a) Go to the Daz Install Manager Settings (gear icon in the top right corner.)

b) Now, go to the Applications tab.

c) Here, click the '+' icon in the bottom left-hand corner.

d) Select Blender

e) Choose your Version number (2.8 is the highest available)

f) Click '...' next to Path and browse to the respective path (listed above)

g) Click Accept Folder > Accept > Accept. Once you click that second green Accept, you will be taken out of the Install Manager Settings. 

Anyway, if anyone else has a problem like this, then this is definitely a thing to check. Solved my problem outright. 

Dr. Fork, I will try to help you. I use UltraScenery a lot and I know a lot of troubleshooting techniques. 

My first guess is that you previously installed all of your UltraScenery products with DIM or Daz Central and recently accidently double clicked on the UltraScenery product thumbnail in Daz Studio and let it Install. That will create a second incompatible installation in another location on your hard drive. Addon ecologies and features need to be installed to the same folder hierarchy as the main UltraScenery product to work. Installing from inside Daz Studio is one of the known failure modes for UltraScenery and its addons. Let's see if that happened:

1. Open Daz Studio.
2. Open the Content Library pane. In the Content Library pane there will be a list on the left that has DAZ Studio Formats, Poser Formats, Other Import Formats, Product and Categories.
3. Expand the Products section by clicking on the small triangle to the left of the word Products.
4. Expand the U section of Products.
5. Scroll down to UltraScenery - Realistic Landscape System and left click on the product name.
6. The files in the product will be shown in the right side of the Content Library pane.
7. Right click on the thumbnail for UltraSceneCreator.dse and select Browse to File Location.
8. A Windows Explorer window will open. (If it doesn't open automatically, it may be highlighted or blinking in your taskbar waiting for you to manually open it.)
9. What is the full file path of the folder that opens in that Windows Explorer window? If the file path has the word "cloud" in it, that means that the product did get installed from inside Daz Studio. That is a problem, be we can solve it.
10. In that same Windows Explorer window, double click on the Ecologies folder to open it. Are all of your purchased ecologies there (e.g.TA TAO 01)?
11. Go back up one folder level and double click on the Features folder to open it. Are all of your purchased features there (e.g. TA Stream 01)?

With the answer to these questions, we can move to the next step.

So with the first question, & avoiding Daz Central, which of the exe files should I use then, or order of install if both as I've done to get started?

I have older Scenes saved off to a different drive ( as well as duplicated on another system) so don't mind clearing everything at this point on the main system.

So after clearing the Content Db in DS itself, DIM should then install as expected?

 

 

WHen I launched Daz Central today, it automatically updated DazStudio. However, after installation was complete, I tried to launch DazStudio, and it just kept crashing. Is DazStudio not compatible with Mac OS Big Sur, yet?
