Experimenting with dForce on older hair
The biggest problem I've run into is that for whatever reason the hair likes to...bounce back up? If that's the correct description. Like it will start falling down, but then it will bounce back up half-way through the timeline and it will never completely fall. I'll paint the weight map so the crown looks great, and then I'll find a morph that spreads the hair out so I can let it fall naturally during the sim. But it just doesn't want to unless I turn dynamic strength all the way up...which results in the heavy, wet-looking hair. So far I haven't found a happy medium...I either have hair that bounces back up, or it ends up looking wet.
How to copy V8 skin(color) to another G8F?A lot of the resembalnce in face Transfer is in the maps. Try doing the texture swap in Smooth Shaded mpreview mode and I think you will see no change.
Not yet, the above picture, I used normal 'texture shaded' view.
Attached is the Nvidia Iray view, you can see they are totally two person.

It is HD. It is a real expression morph. It designed for more life. Life is hard and heavy until a better RAM and CPU come along. Just that the upgrade for an AMD 3990X is at 5K at the moment. Few of us have the power to handle the AFE and AFE Details. Those who can with the know-how feel more alive with AFE.
Just a note: Like all products in Daz3d. One cannot have a product that overrides Daz3d main base figure. Thus the On and Off button in AFE to activate it.

How to copy V8 skin(color) to another G8F?Use face transfer to make a G8F, but don't like her skin, so want to use V8 skin on this new G8F. But no matter using V8 skin preset, or just simply copy and paste the skin, it always changes the face of new G8F, which delete the eyebrow and modified eyeball, looks like different person than the original photo of face transfer.
How to just apply the face skin texture or color without change eye parts and lips?

"Morph Loader Pro" vs "Morph Loader Advanced"A morph is a new shape for an item. To load one you take abse version of the model (no SubD, only one item) and modify it in your tool of choice (being careful not to add or remove anything, just move the existing vertices), then import through Morph Loader (Pro has more options than Advanced) to get a new slider that will move the shape from the base shape (at 0%) to the shape in the OBJ (at 100%).
Hylas' cornerSo, here's a thing I stumbled upon. I was messing around with this skin shader preset freebie, randomly trying out various presets on Andre's skin to see what happens.
I increased his gloss, changed his translucency colour to a dark orange, and switched his SSS mode to Chromatic.... and suddenly he looked like he had been crying. Oh my, poor boy!
Sadist that I am, I decided to lean into it. I gave him a reddish sclera, turned on his tear surface, and gave him a geoshell that makes the area below his eyes shiny. The opacity map for the latter is available here.
I think it's a really cool effect... but it's of limited use since it seems to be coincidental. I can't replicate the same effect with other skins.
The head morph is a converted M5. The conversion is really inaccurate, so in a sense it failed. But I love this new shape for what it is, so, success!

JCM to dial morph OFF with positive and negative bendI have a morph which I want at 100% when a joint is at zero bend. When the joint is bent in either direction, I want the morph dialed to zero as the rotation approaches its limit.
I've gotten it to work correctly in one direction by setting the morph's default value to 100% (minimum value 0), and proceeding to hook the morph up to the joint with ERC freeze. But when I bend the joint to its opposite extreme and repeat the process of ERC freezing the morph at 0 there, it stops working in the first direction (the morph no longer dials towards 0 that way).
So to summarize, I want:
joint bend 0, morph 100
joint bend +50, morph 0
joint bend -90, morph 0Is it possible to do this?

What, exactly, does it mean to "load a Morph"? What is the difference between the Pro and the Advanced methods?
CC Avandrael & CC ZophaelThank you :D I had thought about doing the hooves as a graft instead of a separate morph, but with Mada's wings, the lashes, brows, and tail in there, possible body hairs, that's a lot of polys, and I was pretty certain I couldn't model hooves in with less/same polys with as much detail as I could with the morphs. But the materials for the hooves were done in shape and not in base shape so there wouldn't be any stretching issues.
Interesting, really good work, the thing about the "graft which if i wanted to "mix" maybe others texture maybe would be more easy if it was graft, but keep the good work.
Since you talked about it, you could pass the poly count for the wings horns tails or any other extra anatomic element please? to know how much the full character could cost?
I have the hoof materials on a geoshell actually, so you can put any other texture set with it and still have hooves on top. If it was a graft, you'd have to make custom blends for each skin. I try to make thing as interchangeable as possible.
Thank you for this! Because of how they're set up, I've also been able to use them with the hooved legs from HFS Ultimate Shapes and create a bunch of different looks.

Two possibilities:
Do the shoes have their own a "Josephine 8" morph? If not, then you might ask the person who created the shoes to add a "Josephine 8" morph. Sometimes they might accomodate you. The feet of G8 characters vary considerably - Consider the G8 foot shape vs that of V8. There are times that I asked the creator to add a V8 morph to their shoes and they obliged me, so try that first.
Are you using some "foot detail" morphs on your character? If so, these morphs are likely getting copied to the shoes by auto-fit. As Elliandra has told you - Select the shoes, then show the hidden morphs that are being copied. Zero all of the "foot detail" morphs. Use the smoothing modifier to resolve poke-thru and further smooth the shoes.
